In Philippine folklore, it was said that the god of voyagers and the sea,  Magindang, loved the moon god, Bulan, who was dancing in the sky with his siblings. So much was Magindang fond of Bulan, in fact, that Magindang had made his shores sway along to shy, shy Bulan’s dance.
