Went VERY early to the beach today in order to get free parking and beat the tourists, and then genius me decided to walk from one end to the other (4ish mile round trip) - because I’m not suffering enough from yesterday’s walk. Came home, did some more moving admin and then decided to revise because it’s not as awful as packing. Plus, I enjoyed the irony of eating Bourbon biscuits whilst doing diabetes

4th August: what is your favourite summertime movie?

Oh wow, I really don’t watch films and especially not in summer when I could be outside! I feel like hairspray is a good summery movie, or maybe confessions of a shopaholic or some other classic chick flick.

well yes im trying to prepare for the upcoming semester and the exam i have to give in a few years also trying to develop good habits such as reading :)

2nd August - What is your song of the summer this year?

Dead girl in the pool (girl in red) has been stuck in my head for a while now.

...Along with Teeth (5 seconds of summer). This one doesn’t sound like summer. But the rhythm is amazing and makes you want to sing.

3rd August - What is your ultimate summertime song

Definitely golden days (Panic! At the disco)

If we’re talking about a little more calming and soft, then Here comes the sun (the Beatles) goes for the winning place.

Some more review from my fields and waves class. I remember this stuff making sense when I lightly covered it in high school, but now that it’s more advanced it feels like it’s starting to escape me…

Summer studying challenge: What is your ultimate summer song?

Maula Mere Maula from the movie Anwar. Never watched the movie, but I have fond memories of singing it with my family on long trips to the beach or a lighthouse or other various places we explored, even before I could understand what the lyrics meant. Especially since my siblings and I learned music from a young age, we appreciated songs like this with lots of overlapping parts and long notes that let us really have fun singing different things :) 

For a more approachable English song, Drive Darling by BOY is dreamy and nostalgic and lovely for warm summer days.

the obvious answer to this question in my opinion is fabulous from high school musical 2! I cannot hear this song without thinking about being at the pool - although I’ve never seen a pink piano in a pool in real life…

a: not really, nah. i watched this research conference thing where uni students discussed math research they had done last week, but I’m not really planning to do anything else. college apps and studying for subject sat tests already takes up so much of my time!

today i’m proud that i’m pushing through a course that i don’t find very interesting.

in the beginning of the semester, it honestly seemed impossible to understand the course, seeing peers had notes of +350 pages, and i’m not someone who can keep overview with that amount of pages. but i’m taking my time understanding and i’m slowly getting there

Talking with some native speakers on here, I once again realized the importance of strokes and their order when it gets to Chinese. Also, my friends hate me and continue to make tomato dishes even though they know I’m allergic -_-

7th August - What is your favourite summer ‘beach read’ book? 

Anything from Tess Gerritsen!! All of the books of her that I own are at the library at my grandma’s so I always re read them during the summer.
