His arms are serpentine as they pull you closer against the chest of your tormentor. You are frozen solid. You can neither move nor speak, as you lay still in his arms. It seems that all you can think about is how much you want to not be here anymore, but to put those thoughts into action, is impossible.

You don't even notice your crying, until sobs start to interrupt the pattern of your breathing.

Your kidnapper hears and takes you impossible closer into his arms and holds you tightly. "no. no. Don't cry. Please don't cry." he says as he pulls you tightly into his arms.

His "care'' only worsens your distress. He's now holding you so tightly that you almost worry he might hurt you. It's like he has forgotten that he is holding a real person and not a toy - a child, playing so roughly with his puppy that he kills it in the process.

"no stop crying please!" he says, desperation audibly increasing. "my little baby, don't cry! Don't cry! You're not supposed to cry!" his loud, angry voice startles you down to your bones. You're suddenly very aware once more of the danger you are in- of the rope around your ankles and the gun on the table.

He has gone silent now. He's still clutching you in his arms, but they remind you more of a statue now than of slithering vipers. You thought his coddling and petting was bad, but he is so much more unnerving now that he is still.

A whisper suddenly breaks the silence. "except you're not my baby." it wasn't said to you, moreso to himself, but it made your blood run cold nonetheless. If you weren't his baby anymore, then what where you? You have suddenly lost your purpose in this cold empty house.

Still, this might be the best chance you have. Your only chance. "I'm not your baby" you confirm. You try to tread lightly and keep your voice as calm as possible.

He suddenly and violently grips you at your arms and pulls you away from him as if disgusted. He holds you like this, still in his lap but now suspended in eye contact. You don't know what kind of expression you were imagining on his face, but what you are met with seems to you, to be the personification of pure madness. His blue eyes are shaking and his pupils are dialated. You're not even sure wether he can see like this. His hair is a mess and his nostrils expand and contract with every forcefull breath. His lips are pulled back in an almost animalistic snarl that exposes his teeth, slightly yellowed from years of bad habits. His breath stinks of alcohol and nicotine.

You wonder if this will be the last thing you ever see. You are horrifyingly aware of the fact that every mistake might be your last. You just hope that you can get through to him, reason with him that he can even still be reasoned with

You swallow nervously before you break the heavy silence "I'm not your baby. I have a home. I really want to go home" it takes everything in you to keep your voice calm and its hard to judge if you succeeded with the blood rushing through your ears.

"you think I don't know that? I spend every fucking day here all alone. All I do is sit and wait, for what I don't know. I hope for happiness every single day, but nothing ever gets better. Never for me." his voice is dangerously quiet and if that wasn't enough he's gripped your arms even tighter now. You're sure he's leaving bruises.

"I'm so sorry, but I can't help you. I'm not what you need." you try to sound sympathetic, but it clearly doesn't work. He uses the heavy hold he has on you to fling you to the ground.

Upon contact, pain immediately erupts in your left shoulder. You're sure you've dislocated it. It's hard to sit up with your arms and legst still bound and every wrong move sets your shoulder aflame once more, but you don't have time to care about that right now, with every last bit of strength you have, you get up and somehow scurry as far away from him as you can.

He's glaring down at you now, still with that same, awful expression. "I never get anything! How can you prefer to live on the street, you dirty fucking rat? I gave you food! I told you about my deepest secret, and now not even you want to be here with me?!" his voice gets progressively louder until he's screaming at you from the top of his lungs. You pray that someone might hear him and call the police.

"im sorry! I'm sorry! That's not what I meant! Maybe you could take these ropes of and we can talk some more?" you bargain desperately.

That just sets him of even more however and with a booming voice and shaking hands he reaches for the gun while exclaiming "why? So you can run away too? So you can leave me as well? So you can tell everyone how fucking disgusting and pathetic I am?"

What happens next flashes by so quickly that you barely even have time to register it all. With a terrible practiced accuracy he loads the gun, before aiming straight at your head and pulling the trigger without so much as a blink. In just one second you go from a living, breathing, screaming animal, desperately trying to escape, to a still statue laying on a strangers floor. Blood quickly begins to pool around you and your hands still twitch for about five seconds. Price doesn't care about any of it. He's seen it all before, people are just obstacles to him, and body's just objects. He simply takes a deep breath, runs his hands through his hair and then picks you up and sinks back into his arm chair. Just a little longer, until the delusion breaks again and leaves him all alone, in his cold empty house.

Price let's his eyes wander over the room once more. From the huge couch, to the armchair, to the big TV, down to the cigar and glass of whisky in his hands. He's returned from yet another deployment and he finds himself restless.

He often sees soldiers much younger than him, sharing photos of their family with the others. Their friends will pat them on the back and congratulate them. He has to watch from a distance, eyes cold as ice. All he sees is dreams long lost. He sees the empty couch, the quiet house.

Sometimes, on particularly hard days, he'll take his hot water bottle, fill it to the brim with Luke warm water and then wrap the heavy thing in a blanket. He'll take it, sit down on the armchair and close his eyes and after a while, it's not the bottle he's holding anymore, it's his baby and he rocks it back and forth. The weight becomes grounding, reassuring.

But he can't stay like this forever. The bottle gets cold and the illusion breaks just enough to remind him of how pathetic he is, how alone he is. He has to open his eyes again and stare down at himself in disgust. Sometimes he starts to cry

He's bought children's clothes before. He doesn't know why he did it. He was walking home from the grocery store. Usually, he just goes straight home. All he wants to do is sit alone in the dark. The outside world is to painful during the day. On that day however, a bright orange shirt caught his eye, hanging in the window of a store . It was so so tiny. He went in without thinking. The rush that buying that shirt gave him, is almost impossible to describe. It was equal parts thrilling and calming. It reminded him of the first time he wrapped up that stupid bottle and took it to the armchair to rock it back and forth .

The thrill didn't last, however. No matter what, he always has to return to reality and suddenly, he's alone again and the little orange shirt is laying unused, somewhere deep in the drawers of his dresser. He can't bring himself to throw it away.

There's a knock at the door suddenly. Who could want something from him? Price half debates not getting up and waiting for the person to stop bothering him, but he's just so tired of being alone.

You're just a door to door salesperson, here to try to get him to buy some stupid bullshit he doesn't care enough to remember.

He's not even listening to you as you give him your clearly practiced spiel. "hello, sir. Sorry to bother you, but if I could get just a few moments of your time..." he's focused on your hands instead. They're soft and young, but bloody. You've clearly tried to wash them, but if someone looks closely, they will find bright red scratches and tears all over them. There's dirt caked deep under your nails as well, to deep for you to properly clean.

He looks at your face next. You're young and cute - not in the way that many people use that word to mean nowadays as synonymis with attractive, but genuinely sweet and innocent. Your dirty hair, much like your hands, betrays a much rougher lifestyle than you let on though. He can't shake the feeling that he's seen you before...

Suddenly it clicks he has seen you before, on a bench in the park, behind the pub. It was late at night, you were shivering.

He doesn't really know what came over him, maybe it's the whisky, maybe all those years in the military have made him incapable of normal human interaction, but he just blurts out "I've seen you before. You're homeless." he says it so matter of factly, like it's the most natural statement in the world. It clearly takes you by surprise. He hates watching those sweet, innocent features morph into a look of shock and embarrassment before you catch yourself and put on that awful trained mask of a smile again.

You're about to stutter out some kind of response, when he interrupts you and says "come in. I have food"

You hesitate for a second, before carefully stepping inside. Under the dimm yellow light of his house, the dirt on you dissappears and price finds, you don't look so out of place in his home.

He quickly guides you to the kitchen and then tells you to sit down on one of his chairs. "what's your name?" he asks, trying his best to make his voice sound as warm and friendly as possible, painfully aware of his recent blunders. "yn" you reply meekly and he tests the name on his tongue. He likes it. It suits you. He likes how it sound when he says it

After a quick rummage through his fridge, he lands on making you a sandwich. "tomatoes, lettuce, mayo and cheese. Is that okay?" he confirms the ingredients with you then he gets to work.

He finds he quite likes the feeling of making food for you. And he likes the feeling of watching you eat it too. It's a familiar high, equal parts thrilling and calming, wrong in the most beautiful of ways.

He makes his decision with shaky hands and a fluttering heart. Quicker than you could ever hope to process, with the kind of precision that only a soldier could possess, he picks up a knife from one of the drawers and pulls you up out of the chair, pinning your hands behind your back and holding the knife to your throat. "just do as I say and nothing bad will happen, alright?" you nod frantically.

He has his gun in the drawer of his nightstand. With you still pressed tightly against him, he starts his journey towards his bedroom.

Through the quiet, empty halls past the unoccupied guest room to the little door that leads to his. You start shaking and crying when you see the bed. It breaks his heart. "please no! Sir, please! Please I'm begging you don't do this! Please" it takes him a moment to understand, but when he does, his heart breaks. He quickly spins you around into his arms, hugging you tightly in an attempt to reassure you "hey. Hey. It's alright. You're alright. I'm not going to do that. I would never do that. I actually want to help you. I just want to help you. I want you to be my little baby. That's all I want. I just want a baby. "his voice breaks on the last sentence.

Suddenly, you jump out of his arms. When he meets your face again, now covered in snot and tears, you are pointing the knife right at him. "I will never be your baby, you fucking psycho!" you scream. It fills him with pure rage to hear those words. With balled fists, he dives right past you towards his nightstand. The good thing about civilians is, they don't actually want to hurt anyone. They haven't been desensitised yet. He knows you won't Lunge after him right away. He knows you'll give him that split second he needs. That's all he needs.

When he turns around, Price is in control again. "drop the knife" he says, voice eerily calm

You do as you're told. Of course you do. You've probably never had a gun pointed at you before." Go back downstairs with me" is all he says next.

Back in the living room, you stop to look back at him, unsure of what to do next. So price comes right up to you, puts the gun against your skull and his hand on your shoulder and leads you towards his garage. There, he picks out some rope and tells you to sit.

You start to tremble at the sight of the rope, but do as you're told. Price quickly ties your hands behind your back, making sure that you don't have any opportunity to escape. He then does the same to your feet. Finally, he picks you up with one arm and heaves you over his shoulder like a Sack of potatoes. With the other hand, he takes the gun and goes back to the living room.

He puts the gun on the couch table and then he sits down with you on his armchair and with a deep exhale, he lets the stress of the day melt away as he begins to rock you back and forth. His little baby.

Parental yandere deep sea creature X Reader

Reader gets shipwrecked while out on the sea. Unbeknownst to them, the ocean is more misterious than they think

Tw (drowning, body horror, sea monster (obvi)

The stars where of imcomparable beauty out on the ocean. Out here, where they are untainted by artificial light, they shimmer in thousands of different brilliant hues.

You barely pay any attention to them, however. They are completely outshined by the gorgeous northern lights, serving in all their brilliance, as nothing more than a backdrop to nature's beautiful display.

You don't know how long you spend out on the deck, but it's long enough for the chilly wind to penetrate beneath the protective layers of your thick winter clothing. Only when the cold becomes enough to bear, do you force yourself to go back inside.

You've almost reached the door to the belly of the ship, when you suddenly hear the most beautiful of whale songs. The melody is unlike anything you've ever heard before. You swear it's almost enchanting. You stay just a little bit longer to listen, but once the song is over and you try to resume, you suddenly find that you can't remember what you where even going to do in the first place. You find yourself standing on the deck, completely confused and not just that, you're tired too. You're more tired than you've been in your whole life.

You quickly open the door and finally step inside, but you can barely even keep your eyes open. In your state, all you manage to do is to stumble your way to your bed, completely forgetting about all of the tasks you have to do before you can go to sleep. Not like you would be able to complete them like this anyway

You fall into a deep but restless sleep. A couple of times you nearly wake up, mind screaming danger at you, but everytime just before you manage to resurface, the whale song returns like a wave crashing over you and pulls you back deep beneath the surface.

Suddenly however, you are wide awake. The warmth of your blanket has been replaced by the unforgiving cold of the ocean. The sudden shock forces all air out of your lungs and almost as soon as you are submerged, you begin to drown. You can still hear that song, only your body is fighting to hard for it to pull you back under. You can also hear something large and heavy slamming itself against metal. Most likely the hull of your ship you realize with horror

Salt stings your eyes when you try to open them. Despite how blurry everything is, you still manage to make out your room, only now, it is completely underwater.

You manage to spot that one of the windows is broken. With no time left to waste, you force your tired body into motion, pushing through the pain in a desperate attempt to preserve your life.

Before you can reach it however, another one of those terrible loud booms can be heard and followed by an echoy muffled crash. You frantically look behind you and are suddenly met with the sight of some kind of creature about twice the size of you. It's black and white and, though you can only make out blurry siluettes, you swear it has arms and hands. You swimm frantically with renewed vigour towards the window, but the thing is so much quicker than you. It reaches out and pulls you towards it. Instead of attacking however, it holds you in its arms and cradles you gently against its warm body. You wish it would simply attack you though, as drowning is surely a more painful way to go. The awful waves of pain in your chest are almost unbearable now. It's like everything in you is begging you to simply breathe in and let in the merciful water. You don't know how much longer you can resist.

That beautiful song suddenly starts again, though it is nothing more than a confusing jumble in your current state. All it does is further add to your confusion and disorientation. You swear you can feel your heartbeat grow quicker by the second, and with one last look towards the surface, you suddenly open your mouth.

The saltwater fills your lungs almost instantly. It takes whatever small bit of warmth your body might have left. It is not cruel however. In a matter of seconds it takes all you pain with it. You close your eyes and feel weightless. Your mind is flooded with beautiful memories of your childhood and of the sea and the stars. You see the faces of friends and family and you feel peaceful. For the first time in you life, you feel truly peaceful.

Just when you thought it was all going to be over however something warm suddenly touches your lips and hot breath suddenly forces its way into your lungs. It's like it Dienst stop there however. You entire body is soon consumed by the fire and set ablaze with the most awful pain you have ever experienced.

You wrench your eyes back open. And are met with the crystal clear image of the thing smiling at you. It has a human like face. It reminds you of that of a woman, only entirely black and white. It's eyes are mix of orange and red and it's long black hair floats around it's head, blocking the sunlight like a devilish halo.

Looking down at yourself, you see that it is still holding you tightly in its arms. You try to use your hands to shove it away, but you are stopped dead in your tracks when you see them. You quickly lift them to your face to get a better look. They are turning black and white, just like the monster's. You turn them slowly in front of your face, not believing what you are seeing. Between each finger, a translucent skin is beginning to form. You suddenly begin to cry at the sight. It's a weird sensation, crying underwater, you can't feel the tears running down your face, can only feel your shallow, shaky breaths as you watch your hands deform. Wait you're breathing?. You quickly take another deep breath to confirm, and you are actually genuinely breathing underwater.

What is happening to you?

The thing suddenly speaks to you and you are horrified to understand every word

"mama is taking you home now my darling. Your transformation is complete"

Then it starts swimming with you downwards away from the weak moonlight and the world you knew.

Parental yandere König x Deaf! Reader part two

Tw (kidnapping, drugging)

You wake up feeling wrong. You're on a bed, in what looks to be an older house, built in the traditional style. Only... You don't know why. Your mind refuses to work. It's like every time you try to remember, you hit some kind of wall where your mind just gives up. You can recall being in a car for some reason, and before that at a festival or a parade or something, but everytime you try to dig deeper, exhaustion stops you and your head starts to hurt, like your diving in the ocean, deeper and deeper until your shrouded in darkness and the pressure starts to become to much.

Your body has no problem remembering though. Your left hand hurts slightly for whatever reason and your usual deafness has been replaced by that awful but familiar ringing you sometimes hear, when you haven't worn your hearing aids in a long time and your brain decides to fill in the silence, you also have a slight headache. In the absence of recollection of how you got here, you decide to focus on the phisical instead.

You force yourself to calm down and take a deep breath. Step one: you need to find your hearing aids.

With a forced kind of calmness, you swing your legs to the side so your sitting on the edge of the bed and take a look around the room. The bed your on is in that same rustic, traditional style as the rest of the house. There's also a dresser and a desk in the room, but it's notably lacking any personal items. You can tell by the sloping ceiling and the wodden supporting beam, that you're in the upper floor of the house directly under the roof.

When your cursory look around the room fails to yield any result, you decide to get up and look deeper, maybe even leave the room if you really can't find them. You probably should have already, but an instinctual fear of something which lay behind the door is holding you prisoner. You feel a little like you did when you were a child, and would pull the blanket up to your chin in fear of monsters. You know, that whatever wants to hurt you won't be stopped by your flimsy defenses, but you stubbornly cling to any semblance of safety you have left, and thus refuse to accept this obvious fact.

So you search instead. You're going to start with the desk drawers you've decided. With renewed determination, you push your self up of the bed, glad to have found something you can busy yourself with.

Only, you never reach the bed. Just as quickly as you stood up, you come crashing back down, hitting the floor with a dull, painful thud. You've never passed out before. You don't know what you were expecting, but it wasn't this. Your mind still feels just as sharp as it did a minute ago when you were sitting on the bed, only you can't see or move any longer.

Suddenly you feel someone pick you up before you're placed back on the familiar soft blanket you had woken up on. You can feel your legs be lifted into the air and slowly, awareness starts to trickle back to you.

You're still not quite able to see, when you can suddenly feel your hearing aids being carefully put back on. Words can not describe how greatful you are for the fucking ringing to finally stop. Now that they're on again, you can hear an unfamiliar male voice speaking. He's hard to hear, and since you can't read his lips right now, most of what he's saying is lost on you, but you don't need to understand the words to know the intention, he's trying to soothe you.

Despite the voices unfamiliar nature, the soft soothing was actually quite effective in calming you, and when you were finnaly able to reliably move, hear and see again, you instinctualy started to reach for the source of the comforting noise.

The man holding you quickly pulled you up, and you were met with light blue eyes, dirty blonde hair and striking features. The man seemed to be around forty and, strangely, despite his face being unknown to you, you recongnized his eyes. You had seen that sky blue before somewhere.

Suddenly, it all came flooding back to you. The parade, the man, the car, the needle.

König.

You jumped back as if burned and quickly started to move as far away from him on the bed as you could.

The man imidiatly put his hands up and he was saying something again, only through your panic, you couldn't make out what it was again.

The man seemed to realize this rather quickly and he switched instead to ögs once more.

"please don't be scared. Please don't be scared of me. I'm not going to hurt you" he signed. His signs were small, and the look on his face was one of pure sadness and desperation.

You, in contrast, used a large signing space, extending from your lower stomach all the way past your shoulders, as you sloppily replied with shaking hands. You're not sure what emotion your face is conveying at the moment, but you just hope that it is somehow enough to give your signs the intensity needed to express your rage.

"what have you done to me? I can't stand up. I'm scared. I want to go home! I want to see my family! I don't know y-"

You're about to add more, when König suddenly stops you by signing your name.

"yn. Im so sorry. I know. I know and I'm so sorry." he rambled, then, he took a deep, shaky breath, as if to organize his thoughts, before continuing "I wish that this could all be different right now. I promise that you will be able to stand again soon. I am not going to hurt you. I know I have given you no reason to belive me thus far, but I promise that there is nothing which I want less in this world than to see you hurt. I have longed for connection for a long time now - for family. I saw you, scared and alone and I saw myself. I want to help you. That is all I want. " when doing the circular motion of the sign 'all' he intentionally widened his signing space, to somehow turn the great longing he had for your safety into a motion that his hands could express.

You sat there, stunned after this confession. His words, though heartbreaking in a way, had served not to calm you, but have instead only increased your fear tenfold. The simple fact that he drugged and kidnapped you, should have been more than enough evidence to conclude a lack of reason, but to hear his deluded explanation of why taking you was somehow good or necessary, of what he hopes to be to you, or you to him, has just shown you the true extent of his insanity. This is a dangerous man.

You think for a long time before replying, choosing your words meticulously before carefully articulating "I'm sorry K. Ö. N. I. G." you spell out his name, hoping to appease him somehow by showing that you rember him. Your gestures now barely reach past your collarbone as you continue "I'm not afraid of you. I'm grateful that you helped me at the parade. I was just scared, because my head hurts and I couldn't walk or see."

König nods in understanding before signing "I'm so sorry mein schatz (my treasure). It will go away soon don't worry. You don't have to spell my name each time. You can just call me papa" the look on his face is full of happiness and a strange mock understanding. There's a smile tugging on the corners of his lips, but also concern pushing down his eyebrows. All together the unnatural expression gives his signs a creepy tone that does nothing to soothe you.

Suddenly, you stomach growls and you are reminded of the fact that you haven't eaten since the parade.

"you hungry? König signs, though he doesn't wait for a reply before he gets up and exits the room, presumably to go and get food.

He returns about five minutes later with a bowl of müsli in hand. You take the food with a small thank you and eat quickly, refusing to look at him.

After you're done eating, König takes your bowl and gingerly places it on the desk, as if scared to startle you again. He then turns back to you and explains

"this is going to be your room from now on. I know it's not very... Decorated right now, but it was only my guestroom this morning. I'm going into town today to buy some more stuff for you. I have a pen and paper here" after those words he has to take a small break from signing to reach over to the desk and retrieve said items before placing both in front of you and continuing to explain "write whatever you want on here and I will go and get it for you. You have an hour to decide before I'm leaving. I'm going to give you some space during that time. If you need something, jut shout for me and papa will come and help you. I love you "after that, he gets up, leaves the room and closes the door with a little click that let's you know its been locked shut.

Sorry for making you wait so long! Your request is not a burden btw

When you awake again, the sun is much lower in the sky. The hot giant had made its way to that beautiful point just before sunset where everything seemed to be golden and warm.

You're still driving. You can see the tipical red brick houses, with their colourful doors and charmingly old exteriors, of the English countryside pass you by. Now that evening had arrived, the heat was beginning to dissipate and a cool breeze was coming in through the open windows.

"Good morning my angel. You slept for a long time. Must have been really tired"

"huh?" you startle, still a bit sleepy.

When you look over at the man beside you, he's already looking at you. When your eyes meet, his crincle at the edges in a warm smile. "we're almost there" he says, before focussing back on the road.

You probably should be scared, but all you feel is a strange warmth and a buzzing excitement in your belly. It feels like a little swarm of bees or maggots. Why do you want this?

The car stops before you can give that any more thought though. "where home my angel. Ours is the one in the middle" comes that familiar deep voice beside you.

Curiously, you look up at what your new home is going to be. It's a semi-detached brick house with two neighbours. On the left there's a slightly larger house with a cafe on the first floor. The cafe is painted a deep navy blue and has a sign that reads "the paper boat cafe" with a charming little depiction of an origami boat beside it. Through the large shop windows, you can see an array of plants and a bright orange cat in the windowsill.

On the right, there's nothing at street level, it seems to just be a purely residential house. You do note, however, the huge orange tree in the front garden. Part of it reaches over to cross the border into your frontgarden and you wonder if any lucky oranges ever land there. In the golden sunlight they look bright and delicious.

Your house has a wonderful front garden as well. A little stone path leads from the Iron gate to the front door, which is painted bright red to match the mailbox,. On either side the path is lined with flowers and and in the corners, where the fence meets the house, there's some hedges to frame the building. The garden seems slightly unkempt in a charming way. The hedges aren't shaped and just left to grow ans they please and large parts of the facade are covered in ivy which has climbed its way up the house, leaving only the windows blank in the thickest spots.

Apart from the deep navy of the cafe, the houses are all that familiar orange brick. You look over at Mr price with a genuine smile on your lips. Perfect. This is perfect. He smiles right back at you "ready to go inside my darling?" he asks.

When you first enter, you're met with a small room containing three doors and a staircase. There's a place to hang your coats and leave your shoes right by the door. There's already five pairs of shoes sitting there when you enter. One pair of large, dark brown hiking boots, slightly worn from age, a pair of deep green wellies, a pair of navy slippers as well. By the size and colour of said shoes, you can easily guess that they belong to Mr price, the last two shoes however surprise you as they clearly don't.

There's a pair of colourfull, stripy crochet slippers and a pair of pastel blue wellies with little rain clouds and rainbows on them.

You cant help the confusion on your face when you look back at your teacher. He just looks at you slightly sheepishly, scratching his neck in nervousness, before explaining "I figured you'd need those since you couldn't exactly bring much. I hope you like them". He still seems a bit nervous, so you decide to help him by answering honestly.

"like? I love them" at those words, he looks back at you and through a smile you add "they're perfect"

That seems to make him really happy and, after you had both taken of your shoes, he excitedly shows you the rest of the house. The first room he shows you is the downstairs bathroom. It's rather uninteresting, but you do note the large cardboard box in one of the corners "sorry about all the boxes my darling. I couldn't exactly just stay in the old town with you could I?" he explains.

After that you two move on to the living room, where you see more boxes. It's pretty bare still, but there is a large red couch, which is clearly rather old and worn in already, as well as a couple of bookcases. You quickly enter the room further to get a better look. The book cases are filled with classics and large bulky books about all kinds of history. Carefully you run your fingers across the spines as you read some of the titles "Dracula" "Jane eyre" "ancient messipotamia" "romeo and Juliet" "a comprehensive history of the British empire" are some of the titles that stand out to you.

Turning around to the wall that you couldn't see from the doorway, you're met with a fireplace and a TV.

The last room in the downstairs, is the kitchen. When you first enter, you are imidiatly drawn to the beautiful observatory facing the back garden. It contains a large dining table sorounded by mismatched chairs. The observatory is huge and you can tell that there's more furniture to come. Through its window pains, you can see a deep green garden with beautiful huge sycamore and small, colourful patches of native flowers around the edges of the garden wall, which was made from the same orange brick as the house. At the back of the small garden, under the shade of the sycamore, there was an iron gate. To your surprise, it seemed to lead to a forrest. You hadn't payed attention to it, but it seemed your house was at the edge of town.

Turning your attention back to the kitchen, you see a tall silver fridge with a little to do list and a singular football magnet on it, which doubled as a bottle opener. The rest of the kitchen is similarly sparcely decorated and you have to smile a bit. This is so clearly a single man's house. Mr price must have seen you smiling, because he obliviously asks "do you like it?". You can't help but chuckle in reply "yes" you smile. Then you you excitedly say "I wanna see the upstairs now. Show me! " before walking past him and then quickly to the stairs.

You can hear him laughing behind you as he follows and you can hear the smile in his voice as he playfully reprimands "wait! Wait for me!" it's clearly all in jest though, as he catches up rather quickly. When he does, he ruffles you hair a bit before saying "dad is going to show you everything, don't worry."

The first room upstairs is a little boring. It's just his office which currently holds nothing more than a desk, a chair, and a computer. "I found a job at a new school here. I'll be starting in two months when the new school year begins" he remarks as he closes the door again.

The next room is the upstairs bathroom. Another boring one. "do I have a bedroom here?" you ask, ready to move on to something more interesting. "of course you do, darling" he replies, in tone that seems to almost suggest your question is ridiculous. You can't help your excitement "show me please!" your face lights up.

It's similarly bare to the rest of the house, but the furniture that's already there is honestly beautiful. You have to give it to him, maybe he can decorate after all. There's a white bed with brown bedsheets that have colourful stars on them. There's also an adorable little plush dog sitting on the pillow. Beside the bed there's a matching nightstand with a lamp on it that has the shape of a sleeping bunny. There was also a dresser, a small desk and a large bookcase. Once again, you step inside to investigate. Your bookcase holds novels such as "Alice in wonderland" or "harry potter" as well as a bunch of new colouring books and a couple of games. "I hope you like them. I thought maybe we could play some together." he seems a bit nervous again but his face lights up when you nod in response "that sounds lovely" you smile

You open the dresser moreso just to see what the drawers look like, but are surprised to find it already contains some items. There's some pajamas. When you pull them out to look at them, you're met with a cute graphic of a goose napping in a pond. There's also two jumpers, one stripy crochet to match the colours of your slippers and one pastel green one that's from the national geographic with a picture of a colourful frog on it. Beside them, there's some t shirts, the one that stands out to you the most is a really cute ocean themed one, and two pairs of trousers, one red corduroy and the other a pair of denim dungarees.

"we can get more later. I just thought, that I would get you a few so you have something to wear for the first few days." instead of a verbal reply, you simply hug him as tight as you can. You can't really think of any other way to express all the love and gratitude you feel right now. It feels almost overwhelmingly relieving to think about how all the stress of school and being a teenager are gone now. You can finnaly just exist again and do what you want to do. No one has ever understood you the way he does. It always seemed to you, like all you peers wanted to talk about, was parties or school. Your childish likes and disinterest in things more tipical of your age where something which you had learned to hide. He sees you though. Finally someone sees you and understands you.

It takes a while before you're ready to let go of the hug and he never once attempts to let go before you do. When you finnaly let go, he takes your head into his hands and softly says "it's time to get ready for bed now, my angel. When you're done, join me in the kitchen for dinner."

He then leaves to give you some privacy while you change. When you're done, you find him taking something out of the oven and putting it on the dining table. When he turns around to present it to you, it turns out to be a lasagna.

He sits at one side of the table, and you take your place at the other. After a couple of minutes of comfortable silence he says "I thought we could stay here tomorrow and spend the day together, maybe take a small walk through the Forrest." you nod in reply "that sounds like a great plan" with a small smirk you then add "maybe we could also unpack some more of those endless boxes" in a slightly teasing tone. Price just shakes his head at you in reply, though it's obvious that he's not actually mad by the smile on his face. "we should also shop for some new furniture soon. It just wasn't practical to bring everything when I moved, so there's still some new stuff that we need." he then seems to suddenly remember something and quickly says "oh, and you still need some more clothes of course. We should probably drive into town soon." you nod at him and he offers "how about the day after tomorrow?" you nod again.

At some point while you were touring the house, the sky must have turned from golden to red and while you eat, it darkens further to black. The lights of the kitchen are a pleasant warm yellow however and you note with delight, that you can see the stars through the roof of the observatory. Here, at the edge of the Forrest, light pollution barely reaches the sky and you could see more stars than you ever had before.

After dinner Mr price puts a gentle hand on your shoulder "time for bed now, my angel". You quickly brush your teeth in the upstairs bathroom, before making your way back over to your bedroom, where Mr price is already waiting with a book in hand. It's "the hobbit". You tentatively sit down on the bed next to him, and he guides you to lay down instead " dad will be reading you too sleep from now on." he says, then, once you're settled, he beginns and in a gentle voice he reads you the first chapter.

Once he's done, he gently tucks the blanket in tightly around you "daddy's bedroom is just down the hall. If you need anything at all, you can come to me. You can always come to me." then he leans down to place a soft kiss on your forehead "good night, my angel"

After he leaves and the light is turned of, you lay there in the dark, unable to fall asleep. After about half an hour of this, you finally decide to get up and tip tow your way over to dads, uh you mean Mr Price's, bedroom.

He's sitting in bed when you get there, reading a thick book about the archeological finds of great Britain. He's wearing reading glasses and has also changed into his pajamas. His are a deep red. His sheets are navy blue and the furniture in his room is all made from dark wood.

As soon as he sees you, he puts his book away and looks at you with worry "are you alright?" he asks imidiatly. You just shake your head before saying "can't fall asleep". Mr price frowns a bit before simpatheticly saying "oh, my poor angel. Come here" as he lifts up the blanket beside him to invite you in. You quickly do as you're told and slip into bed beside him. His arm around you and your head on his shoulder come completely naturaly, as if this was your nth night and not your first here. As soon as you've gotten comfortable again, he picks the book back up and beginns to read silently again. His presence alone is strangely comfortable and you love the feeling of laying in his protective arms. With a yawn, you close your eyes.

This time, you fall asleep almost instantly

Mr Price had always been the type of teacher who would warm up slowly to his students. He was a deeply serious man, but every once in a while, a student would worm their way into his heart and his Stern demeanour would make way for a more loving and warm one.

You had long been under the impression that you would never be one of those students. He seemed to prefer the quieter and less bubly students. Your pastel outfits and childish interests seemed out of place next to his manly and mature tastes.

He taught history and English, and while you weren't teribble in either subject, next to some of the incredible talent of your classmates, it seemed almost impossible to stand out.

It rubbed you a little wrong in a way. You're cheerful personality had gained you a lot of favour with your other teachers, but you had yet to find a way to make Mr Price like you.

If only you knew

You were on the way to his class, but you had to go to your locker first to exchange your music textbook for a history one. When you opened it however, instead of the familiar arrangement of books pens and other various school supplies, you were met with the sight of a small unknown book with a glittery rainbow spine. When you picked it up, it turned out to be a colouring book. It was themed around ocean creatures and had a cute artstyle. It was honestly really nice and seemed right up your ally. You wonder who could have left it there.

Suddenly the bell rang, reminding you of why you were at your locker in the first place. You quickly threw your colouring book and your textbook into your bag and ran to Mr Price's classroom.

When you got there, Mr Price didn't seem angry at all, a fact that surprised a little.

"ah, yn, there you are. I was beginning to worry". With those words you sat down at your desk.

You didn't see the way Mr Price watched you closely as you quickly set up your stuff for the lesson, scanning your face for any sign of wether or not you liked the gift.

His gift.

He had noticed your collection of gel pens and markers and how you would sometimes doodle instead of paying attention. In any other student, this behaviour would have made him angry, but he saw in you something pure and innocent. Something wich most people your age had lost already. Something which he had lost. It's the type of sweetness that one usually grows out of naturally as they mature. He can't help but see you, as being more naive and childish than the rest of your classmates. Something about you deeply intrigues him because of that. He thinks, no he knows, that he could make you happy and you could make him happy just by being your adorable little self.

You were practically made for him.

During class, you try your best to sneakily take out your new colouring book. There's one page in particularly that really intrigues you. You saw it while you were flipping through and you had imidiatly wanted to colour it in. It featured a little crab and a seahorse, both drawn in an adorable style. As soon as you had it out and opened on your desk, you started colouring.

The meditative task ended up being so much fun that you zoned out a bit and before you knew it, class was over and you were packing your bag again.

Over the next couple of days, more gifts kept appearing in your locker. A pokemon notebook, acrylic markers, a chocker with a cute button on it, and then an apple themed pencil case. You suspected a secret admirer at first, but with the third and fourth gift each came a note that made your blood run cold.

The first one read " for my favourite little child. With love, from dad"

That was not your father's handwriting and you know for sure that he would never leave you a gift or note like this. You were honestly unsure what to do about this whole situation, but in the end you just decided to only confide on your best friend. You didn't want to blow the whole thing out of proportion, and a sick twisted part deep inside of you liked the attention... The feeling of being cared for

The second note was even more chilling. "I saw how stressed you were today. Im so sorry. I hate to see you sad, my little angel, but don't worry too much. Dad will rescue you soon. You know I would do anything for you."

You stare at the piece of paper for a solid five minutes, mind racing to comprehend it all.

You know what you should do. You should tell you principal everything. You should call your parents and the police. You should put a stop to this imidiatly, but you don't.

You know that you won't. It terrifies you more than the note itself. You want this too. You want to be babied and adored. In a terrible way, this is exactly what you've always wanted - to be someone's little angel.

You spend the whole day on edge. How soon is soon? What does he mean by rescue? Who is he?

The ringing of the bell feels like the final nail in the coffin. Up until now a small part of you had tried to gaslight your mind that you could still go to the principal later, that you hadn't yet made your rotten little decision.

With shaky hands, you start your walk home.

You're scared, but not as scared as you should be, when the car finnaly pulls up next to you. It's an older model with blacked out windows.

You don't know what you were expecting, but it wasn't your teacher when the window finnaly rolls down, to put a face to your stalker.

"get in, my little angel." is all he says.

You obey. With shaky legs and a fluttering heart, but you obey.

The car smells of cigars and pinewood. It's not something you've smelled before, and yet it still smells of home in a way. Comforting for reasons you can't quite describe. There's rock music playing on the radio and that too, soothes you for some reason, as if instinctualy calming.

You can feel the weight of your day catching up to you, like warm sand under feet after hours of swimming-the crash of adrenaline, the sudden tiredness.

The last thing you hear is a deep soothing voice "you must be so tired baby. Sleep now, dad will take care of everything from now on"

It all started when a customer accidentally walked into the break room. You had been serving at this fancy restaurant for about three months now. It was the type of place where you paid ludicrously large sums for ludicrously small portions.

You had always been sleepier than most people, unable to stay awake for much longer than three hours at a time. Because of this, it was hard for you to work regular jobs, but it did give you the advantage of being better at working night shifts than the average person. Your condition already forces you to take naps spread out throughout the day, so your sleep schedule isn't interrupted by your work since it's practically non existant anyway.

You were taking another one of your naps in the break room when the man suddenly appeared. You were sitting in the corner, legs scrunched up against your tummy and head resting on your knees when you were awoken by the sound of your startled co-worker.

It took you a second to make sense of the situation, but when you did you were similarly unsettled. He was sitting on one of the break room chairs. He had pulled it away from the table and further into the room and was sitting there, watching you. When you put your hand on the floor to push yourself to your feet, you were met with the soft feel of a jacket, which had been placed underneath you.

Looking back to the stranger, he looked both startled but also a bit angry. It took you second but you quickly figured out that he was angry at your co-worker. He got up slowly from his chair as if hesitant to leave, and while he did, he turned his face back towards you as if checking that you would be fine. Now that he's on his feet, you're able to truly appreciate the size of him. He's about seven feet tall if you had to guess and you can tell that he's made of solid muscle with a layer of fat under his fancy dressshirt. The kind of body that you get from hard work not from the gym.

"what were you doing here, sir? This is the breakroom for employees only" your co-worker finnaly broke the silence.

"I was looking for the restroom" is all the man replies, before picking up his suit jacket from the floor behind you and awkwardly making his way out.

Since that day, you've seen him again and again. He comes into your restaurant every night now. At first, he would simply get a a table at the restaurant, requesting you spefically. He would tip well, but not talk a lot. He seemed shy and almost anxious. You got the impression he didn't trust people. He would always glance towards the nearest exit or desperately keep his eyes on peoples hands and faces as they talked. He never turned his back to people.

Over time, with each little interaction you two shared, though, he got a little bolder and you quickly noticed that, for whatever reason, with you, he was different. He would always put himself between you and other people whenever possible, he would let you touch his stuff and even started bringing you gifts at some point. It was like he was protecting you. You learned that his name is konig and that he works in some kind of private se urity company (though you're not sure that that's the whole truth)

The gifts he brought varied greatly in kind but never in function. They were always meant to help you in some way.

Food when he found out how little you make, a raincoat when he saw you didn't have one, a beanbag for the breakroom (you have no idea how he managed to convince the boss of this) and, most notably, a brand new phone when your old one misteriyously broke (you tried to refuse that one at first, but he was insistent you take it)

He quickly became a constant in your life, a caring almost fatherly presence. When you showed up to work now, you expected him to be there, sitting at one of the tables and tipping you so you would spend your entire evening with him instead of working.

"how are you today, mein Schatz?" that familiar voice asks. You don't remember when he started referring to you by nicknames, but you hear them more often than your own name at this point. "I'm surviving" you manage with a small but pained chuckle. Life has been kicking your ass lately. Your condition had worsened to the point you were struggling to even just take care of yourself and despite your best efforts, it was starting to show. "I don't like to hear that." he said simpatheticly, then, after a couple of moments of thought, he adds "I think you should go to the breakroom and have a nap. You looks like you can barely stand" you only think about it for a second before agreeing. It's pretty much known now that your job is just to entertain the insanely rich guy who tips well and pays your manger to basically let you hang out with him, so you leavjng is no problem. Your co-workers whisper behind your back. They think the obvious, but you genuinely think konig would rather cut his own hand of than touch you with it.

In the break room, you sink down into your now familiar bean bag. Konig pulls a chair from the dining table towards you and sits down at your side.

You're about to close your eyes when you suddenly hear the mans soft voice beside you, the one he always uses when he's talking to you,. "are you really alright?" he asks with worry in his voice

"yeah.... Just tired" you reply hesitantly.

König takes a deep breath, clearly choosing his next words carefully " I noticed that your hair is dirty and so is your uniform. I'm not trying to shame you! It's just.... Are you really alright Mein kleines? are you taking care of yourself?" he asks.

You try to stop the tears, but for some reason his genuine concern really got to you. You hate the thought of people realizing how much you're struggling.

You try to quickly turn your head away, but König stops you with a hand on your chin and gently turns your head back to wipe your tears

"oh mein Liebling, dont cry please don't cry" he whispers, more to himself than to you, but it was soothing nonetheless.

With a gentle hand on your sternum, he guides you to lay back down. "just go to sleep. It's fine now. It's all going to be alright."

His soft soothing is the last thing you hear before you're out cold. You don't notice being picked up and carried to a car, or being softly placed on a bed in a new room, in a new house. A house that was bought specifically for you, so you would never have to deal with all that on your own again.

Reader gets kidnapped adopted while on holiday in Greece

You frantically check your phone for the nth time and readjust your giant backpack. You have about ten minutes to get to the bus stop if you want to catch your flight back home. Maps is bugging hard though, making it difficult for you to stay on the little digital path. Suddenly, it suggests an alternative route that will supposedly be five minutes quicker. The new route takes you through a forrest and away from the village though.

You debate for about five seconds, but ultimately decide to risk it. You really need to catch that bus.

You're running through the forest with your giant back pack when you suddenly come across a woman blocking the path. You doubt she speaks English, but decide to try your luck anyway. You're sure the fact that you need to pass her will be communicated just fine, despite the language barrier.

"excuse me!" you say, already moving to pass her, but she doesn't make space.

She simply turns around and looks at you with a strange and frightening expression. It's equal parts terrified and dangerous, like you're a threat shes ready to exterminate. It only lasts a couple of seconds though, before it is replaced by an equally terriefing expression of giddiness.

The look in her eyes actually stops you dead in your tracks. You can instantly feel every hair on the back of your neck stand up.

You're about to ask her what's going on when you suddenly see something, or rather someone, laying at her feet.

It's a woman. She looks to be around your age and is much shorter than you. She has olive skin and black hair that glows golden when the sunlight hits it through the treetops. It's tied back in a sporty ponytail and the woman is wearing a sports bra and leggings, clearly dressed to go jogging. Her eyes are closed and she's laying there completely motionless, except for the rise and fall of her chest, you note with relief, .

Once you're done lokking at her, your gaze wanders back to the woman who was blocking the path. She looks much older than you and has the same type of black hair as the unconscious woman. You wonder if she's her mother. She's dressed in hiking trousers and a t shirt. It doesn't look like they were jogging together.

It suddenly occurs to you that you should help. The stranger still creeps you out, but you try to push that gut feeling aside and see what you can do.

"is she your daughter? What happened to her?" you say as you rush to the younger woman's side.

The older one watches you wordlessly as you rearrange her limbs and try to find what's wrong. You can feel her creepy stare like a burn on your back.

Suddenly, you feel a wet cloth being pressed firmly against your face. It stinks unlike anything you've ever smelled before. You imagine that, smelling straight bleach would be about the same.

You quickly try to pry the cloth of of your face, digging your fingernails into the hands that are holding it, but you have no luck. The woman surprised you and your strength is dwindling with every breath you take. You try to hold it in a last ditch effort, but it's already to late and you quickly fall unconscious, your body draping itself across that of the previous victim.

When you awake, you feel disorientated and nauseas. You don't imidiatly have full control over your body. It feels almost like it's waking up in increments rather than all at once. First, you can only open your eyes, looking around to see that you're in an unknown room on a bed. Then you can move your finger slightly, using them to feel the cotton bedsheets beneath you.

After what feels like ages, you're finnaly able to sit up.You can now look around The room much better. The walls are plastered white, there's an archway leading into the room you're in and a red patterned rug on the floor. The walls are decorated with different colourful depictions of animals and fantasy creatures.

There's a woman next to you on the bed. She's wearing new clothes, so it takes you a second to recognize her, but after a moment it dawns on you that this is the woman you tried to help in the Forrest. Someone had dressed her up in a flowy white dress with a big bow on the back and two smaller bows on each shoulder. Her hair was now braided into two ponytails

You're about to inspect yourself, when suddenly, you hear footsteps. You quickly lay back down and pretend to still be asleep.

You can feel the bed dip right next to you, then you feel someone gently petting your back and your hair.

You have to concentrate hard not to reveal your fear through your breathing or movement.

The hand suddenly pauses. At first you fear that you've been found out, but then you hear a deep but soothing female voice start to sing. It's in Greek, but it's not hard to recognize that it's supposed to be a children's song.

The hand suddenly returns, but instead of simply going back to petting you, it's instead joined by a second one as they loop around your torso and gently pull you up into someone's arms. You can feel yourself being cradled and held like a child, you can even barely make out the heartbeat of the person holding you. She's still singing and after a couple of moments she also starts gently rocking you back and forth.

You just have to lay there, hoping she'll go away soon.

Reader is hungry and goes looking for food where they shouldn't have. When they're found however, things don't go as expected

Tw (injury, swords, mentions of extreme hunger, blood)

You look down with embarrassment at your torn clothing and bloody hands, a reflection of your lifestyle. You used to earn just enough to get by by helping out farmers on their fields or weaving baskets and mending clothes, but you haven't been able to find employment in a long time. A recession has hit and people are struggling to even just feed their families let alone hire someone.

You're growing increasingly desperate though. With every day that passes, your terrible, gnawing hunger consumes your mind more and more. If you don't find something to eat soon, you're going to die.

It is this desperation, or perhaps just pure stupidity, which has emboldened you to act on perhaps your most absurd idea yet.

You have nothing to eat and neither do most other in the kingdom, his royal highness however, has a garden filled with abundance. If you were to take just a couple of tomatoes or a courgette or even a sweet apple, he wouldn't even notice... If you manage to avoid being spotted that is.

You take a deep breath to steady your beating heart and start climbing the castle wall.

To your utter shock, you manage to reach the top without being spotted. All that's left now is to quickly jump of and then run, as soon as you have what you need.

Before your even manage to reach the ground though, you suddenly feel something pulling on your legs and your torso and ripping your already torn clothing even further. Where it has exposed your skin, you feel it start to tear into your flesh, causing shallow but abundant punctures and bringing forth blood and pain wherever it touches you.

You desperately careen your neck to see what is causing this pain, and find your lower body almost completely tangled in barbed whire. You didn't see it in your haste, but the trap had deliberately been set along the inside of the wall to catch intruders such as yourself.

You quickly start to panic and writhe around despite the pain. If you're found, you will more than likely be executed. All your thrashing manages to achieve tough, is to entangle you even further in the spiky metal and you soon find yourself almost completely unable to move.

You're about to try again, when you suddenly hear footsteps approaching

King Benjamin is in the middle of completing his evening routine, when he spots you. He had been walking along the familiar route along the castle grounds, when he suddenly spots a hole in the barbed whire.

Looking at the ground, he can tell that whoever had entangle themselves tried hard to get free. There's blood and even pieces of hair laying there.

Drawing his sword, he carefully walks closer to inspect the scene. The blood is still wet. Whoever did this is still close.

Suddenly, he hears rustling coming from a corner of his royal garden.

He quickly advances, sword still in hand ready to attack, but when he finnaly spots the intruder, he is stopped dead in his tracks.

He was expecting a mercenary or perhaps a knight from a rival kingdom, but what he is met with, is the sight of a simple peasant. Their clothing is dirty torn and now covered in blood. Their eyes are filled with fear and their breathing is rapid.

Benjamin quickly puts down his sword and approaches them cautiously with raised hands.

"don't be scared. I don't want to hurt you." he says. Then, once he's kneeling before them, he continues "why are you here?" making sure to keep his voice as calm and unthreatening as possible

The person swallows before saying "I'm sorry. I was hungry."

Benjamin can feel his heart melting at their words. He's never felt anything like this before. He knows a good King would shout for the guards, make an example of this theif and then double their security. It's what he would have done too, but for some reason something about this lowly peasant has moved his heart.

Perhaps it is the way they're laying there, covered in dirt, tangled and injured, or perhaps it is the shock of expecting a murderer and finding only a beggar, but he can't bring himself to harm them.

With his own bare hands, he helps them untangle themselves from the wire. He barely even feels the pain. In a way, it's almost sort of exciting to him. After having lived his whole life in the castle, he has never experienced anything like this before.

He looks again at the theif. Their life is so entirely different from his. He can't help but pity them. He wonders what their childhood might have been like, despite the evidence of a hard life already starting to become visible, they still look so young and vulnerable.

When he was their age, he was still playing in the castle not worrying about food or shelter.

He finds himself unable to let go of that thought. Perhaps it is a mix of this dichotomy and his intrigue with this piece of the outside world, or perhaps something entirely different altogether that informs his next decision, but when the knights finnaly come to check on him, he stops them from even touching you completely, with a raise of his hand before speaking. "you are not to touch them. From now on, they are under my care. I will care for them as my child."

He can see the shock and confusion on your face. He hopes you grow accustomed to him quickly though, because with those words your fate is sealed.

In this universe soap survived the injury, because I say so.

Tw (violence, kidnapping, knife, robbery)

Retired soap! Who finds himself restless. Late nights spent staring up at the ceiling of his Glasgow apartment until he caves and ends up just going for a walk, giving sleep up entirely.

It's uniquely isolating, to go from being the most social guy on base, too sudenly being the strange veteran among civilians. Social skills that he's spent years perfecting, are suddenly obsolete.

He joined the military so young, that he doesn't really have any other experience though.

And so, he finds himself alone. Alone in his expensive flat that his massive military checks played for. When he used to return from combat, the large quiet space used to feel peaceful and luxurious. Now that he lives there, it just feels empty.

He used to dream of having a family. Not a big one like what he grew up in. His mates on base used to tease him about it, say that he would end up having ten or more children just like his dad did, but in reality, he just wants something small and peaceful.

I mean don't get me wrong, he loves his older sisters to death, but he knows what it's like when your parents never have enough time for you, or when the house is always loud and you can't fall asleep, or when your achievements get lost in the sea of what everyone else is doing, or when you get lost... It's why he joined the military as soon as he could. He just needed out.

Retired soap! Who is suddenly stopped dead in his tracks. Someone is pointing a knife at him.

Just like that, he's back on the field. He can feel that familiar adrenaline rushing through him. He acts on pure instinct alone. Almost without thinking, he disarms the person and tackles them to the ground.

Now that he's on top of them, he's suddenly struck by how small and frail they seem. He's so used to fighting against other soldiers, that he's almost afraid to move now, scared to accidentally break something.

He can see your face now, or lack thereof. All that's visible is your eyes, but they're enough to see how scared you are.

Johny looks at them for just a second to long. Those aren't the eyes of a seasoned criminal, those are the eyes of a scared child. With shaking hands, he pulls the mask from your face and his fears are confirmed. You look so young. You must be around the same age he was when he joined the military.

He stares into your dilated pupils, and all he sees, is his own reflection staring back at him. He wonders if he would have done the same thing if he didn't join. You're just like him. You just needed to get out of a bad situation and had nowhere else to go. No one to turn to. No one who understands you.

But he does. He understands.

Out of the corner of his eye johny suddenly spots a stone that's come loose from the cobbled pavement. Without a second of hesitation, he picks it up and, faster than you can process, he knocks you out.

Now he just needs to bring you home

Your new home. Your real home.

As a result, he has always struggles to fit into society. From a young age he started hating himself because of it. He sees himself as an outcast, as a danger even.

When he grew up, he decided to buy himself a house on the outskirts of a small mountain town. The other villagers whisper about him, about the misteriyous hunter who never goes into town.

He's fine like this, happy even. He can live by himself, he can wander the Forrest alone at night. He has to even, it's his duty to keep the village safe from him.

He's fine like this, until you show up. An excited little hiker, too curious for your own good.

You decide to stray from the path a little, not realising the danger hidden within the Forrest.

Nils tries to help another kid. Little does he know that it would be the biggest mistake of his life

Today was an exciting day! Nil's mum, who usually didn't have that much time for him due to having a demanding job, was taking him to the park, and not just any park, the national park that was an hour away.

Most of the park was of course geared towards hikers, but they also had a big section at the front for families and people, who were just looking to casually enjoy nature, and in that section, stood the best playground in the entire world. It's huge, with twisting slides that seem to go for minutes, a trampoline and, best of all, a huge climbing wall.

Last time the two went there, Nils climbed the blue route. Today he was hoping to beat his high score and climb the more difficult orange one.

He can hardly contain his excitement when the park finnaly comes into view and his mum drives into the car park.

Eagerly, he jumps out of the car and imidiatly drags his mum with him to the playground. There's a lot of other children there as well. He assumes that a lot of families wanted to take advantage of the great weather.

Excitedly, he points at the climbing wall, before looking back at his mum and explaining "each colour is a different difficulty. I've already climbed the blue route, I'm going to climb the next one today." then he wastes no time before he starts to run towards the wall, looking back a couple of times to check that his mum is following (though she chooses to walk, clearly not as excited by the climbing wall as him)

Once he's reached his destination, he imidiatly starts climbing. "watch!" he exclaims as he conquers the first two holds.

Initially, Nils still turns back every once in while to make sure that his mum is paying attention, but as the climb progresses and gets more difficult, he looses himself in the task and starts focussing solely on his hands and feet.

After about ten minutes, he's finnaly reached the top of the wall. Even Nils himself is surprised by how quickly he managed that and so he can only imagine how proud his mummy must be... But when he turns around to check for her reaction, she's not there anymore.

After a couple of moments of searching, Nils finnaly finds her, standing a couple of meters away, where the noise can't reach her, talking into her phone

Looks like she got an important work call again. Whenever that happens, she drops everything else and Nils is not allowed to talk to her until she's done. They usually take a long time, so he takes the slide back down, though he's not able to find any enjoiment in the usually thrilling ride, and tries to find something to do on the playground that he can busy himself with, already familiar with the routine.

He looks around, however he finds that basically all of the playground equipment is already taken up by the other families there. He can feel tears start to well up in his eyes and he has to wipe them away with his sleeve.

He decides to take a small break from the busy playground to sit on the side and decompress. Nils has only made it a couple of steps away from the playground however, when he suddenly spots a young child crying.

She's standing much farther away from the playground than he is, and Nils is unsure of what to do. He looks back and forth between her and his mum a couple of times. In the end, he decides to go and help her. It's not like his mum will even notice he's gone. She never pays attention to him. Sometimes, he feels like she doesn't even like him.

Nils shakes his head, as if hoping that he can simply shake away those uncomfortable thoughts, and starts making his way over to the crying girl.

When he reaches her, he gently taps her on the shoulder, careful not to startle her. Unfortunately, the girl still spooks a little and Nils is quick to apologise "I'm sorry. I don't mean to scare you. My name is Nils. I saw you crying when I was playing on the playground, and I was wondering if you needed help?" he explains.

The girl seems shy and Nils almost thinks that she might not answer him at all, but after a couple of moments, the girl nods slightly.

Nils pets her shoulder sympatheticly, hoping to help her feel more comfortable before he starts to speak again "what do you need help with? Have you lost your parents?" again, the girl nods, though without hesitation this time. Nils is pleased to see her already warming up to him, even if only a tiny bit. He smiles at her in an attempt to lighten the mood and says "that's okay. I'll help you find them. Do you know where you last saw them?" the girl nods and points towards the picknick tables in the distance. Nils nods to confirm his understanding, and the two set of.

The tables are quite far from the playground, only just barely being seen from where they're standing, so Nils decides to try and talk to the girl again to make the journey a little more fun. "what's your name by the way? You never told me."

"Jona" the girl responds simply, though the tone of her voice lets Nils know that she's just a bit shy not annoyed.

"that's a pretty name" Nils smiles. He's about to ask her his next question, when their journey suddenly gets intercepted by a grown up. Nils didn't register them at first, but now that they're standing right in front of them, he can see that it's a man. He's dressed for the sunny weather with a baseball cap and dark sunglasses, they conceal most of his face, the only part that's visible being his mouth as he speaks to them. "what are you two doing here all alone? Are you lost?" Nils shakes his head before explaining "I'm not. I'm actually helping her find her parents right now. My mummy is over there."

The man nods thoughtfully before clarifieing "so she's lost but you're fine?". As he's saying this, he crouches down to be at their level. "yep." Nils confirms, adding a little head nod to emphasise his statement.

The man looks first at them and then around for second, as if searching for something. Nils is about to ask what he's doing, when he gets up and says "follow me. The sun in so hot, but it's nice and shady over there." before pointing at a patch of trees at the edge of the park.

Nils follows obediently, glad to have a found a grown up who could help them, but Jona seems hesitant. Nils quickly takes her by the hand and together they follow the man to where he indicated.

The man walks surprisingly quickly. He's almost a little hard to keep up with, however once they've reached the shade, he slows down noticeably until he finally comes to a full stop and turns back around to them, once again squating to be at eye level "what are your names?" He asks with an inviting smile. Nils thinks it's a bit strange how happy he seems, but in the end he doesnt think much of it and simply answers the question. The man nods upon hearing his name before leaning down a bit more towards the girl and repeating his question, though in a much softer tone this time, "and you? What's your name?" he says. The girl hesitantly answers "Jona" voice barely above a whisper. The man smiles warmly at her, then he looks back up at Nils and asks "and who are you guys here with?". Nils quickly explains "I'm here with my mum. She's here with her parents.". The man nods again, seeming to think for a second before asking "and do you know where your mum is? What about her parents? Where are they?". Nils nods before answering "my mum is at the playground. She was called by her work, so I can't talk to her right now. And Jona doesn't know where her parents are, but the last time she saw them they were at the picknick tables. I was taking her there to look for them." the man's eyes seem to light up a bit, and Nils feels confused by his happiness once more. The stranger now addresses Jona again" and you're not here with anyone else? Only your parents? They didn't bring any friends, or maybe your grandma is here too? "the girl shakes her head.

The man suddenly gets up and says "good thing I found you guys then. My brother works for the security at the park. My phone is in my car, come with me and I'll call him so he can make an announcement and find her parents."

Nils and Jona find themselves following the man once more, though that might be the wrong word, as he has taken Nils by the hand and Jona into his arms. They're more so walking together than really following.

Nils notes that they are taking a strange route. Instead of walking through the grass back to the playground and then to the parking lot, they are instead walking further into the trees. Curiously, he asks the man what's going on "why are we walking here? The parking lot is in the other direction." while looking up at him with slight concern.

The man is quick to squash any worries though and explains "my car isn't parked in the parking lot there. It's a little further away that's why we're walking like this. This is the fastest route." Nils nods, pleased with the man's answer.

After about ten minutes of walking through the Forrest, they have finally reached the car. As he looks at the vehicle, Nils suddenly starts to feel a little uneasy. It's parked completely by it's lonesome at the edge of the park. Nils isn't sure if there is even a parking spot there.

The man notices Nil's unease immediately, and in a reassuring tone he says "are you alright Nils? I have some cold Fanta in the trunk, if you want you can have one." Nils is still unsure, but there's not much he can do. The man is still holding his hand and so, he controls the pace.

Once they're at the car, the man looks around again! before opening the door at the side of the car, and setting Jona down on the back seat of the vehicle. Once he's done he speaks to her in a soft and soothing tone "just wait here for a second, okay? I'm just gonna get my phone real quick." then, he turns to Nils, takes him by the hand again and leads him to the other side of the car.

Nils is now feeling more unsure by the second, and by the time the man opens the door on the other side, he can feel his heart hammering in his chest. When Nils doesn't get in right away, the man opens the door a bit wider as if trying to invite him in "come on Nils. Just wait here for a second, will you". Nils hesitates for a second before saying "I think I'll wait outside.".

Just like before, the man sinks down to be at eye level with him again and softly says "Nils, please get in the car. I'm going to have to explain the whole situation to my brother, and I don't want you standing outside for so long." Nils doesn't get long to think about it, as the man simply picks him up by his armpits and sets him down in the car.

Once he's sat, he ruffles Nil's hair a bit and smiles "I'll even give you that fanta I promised, wait a second." then the door closes.

Suddenly, Nils can hear the trunk opening behind him then, the sound of zipping and rustling as the man gets something. After a couple of moments, he returns, handing Nils an open can of the Orange drink and then reaching over him to give Jona one as well. He smiles at them one last time, before closing the door and locking them this time. The click sound makes Nils feel strangely uneasy.

He tries to peer out of the windows to see what the man is doing, and, true to his word, he does seem to be doing something on his phone, though it's hard to tell what.

Beside him, Jona suddenly startles him with the sound of her drinking from her can. The can is very heavy, even for Nils, and so he isn't surprised to see Jona struggling a bit. He quickly stretches one hand out to help her a bit, and once she's drank about half of her can, he decides to surpress the weird feeling in his tummy and enjoy his treat as well.

After about ten minutes or so, he feels himself start to grow tired. He tries to fight it of course, but his eyes just feel so heavy and so does the rest of his body. The fanta almost slips from his hands and he quickly decides to finish the rest of the beverage so he doesn't dirty the car. Looking beside him, he can see that Jona is basically asleep. Before the same thing can happen to her, he quickly takes the soda from her hands and holds it to her lips, encouraging her to drink "come on Jona, finish your fanta. I don't want you to spill it."

Once he's done, he places both cans on the middle seat and leans his head back, locking out if the window with tired eyes.

The last thing he sees before he falls asleep, is the man making his way back to the car. He's got that strange happy look on his face again. This time, Nils can't shake the feeling that something is wrong, but it's already to late. He's so so tired, that he just can't help but fall asleep.

My first long story in this account! I've decided that I'm now only going to have multi chapter storys on the other one, so you can expect more on the future :)))

You can feel the ground shake underneath you slightly , that strange and uneven pattering of thousands of feets rythms blurred together.

You can see the sea of people moving all around you. Flooding your sight from all angles and creating an intoxicatingly bright flood of colours in your peripheral that makes it hard to focus.

But you can't hear any of it. You're hearing aids died ten minutes ago, right after your phone, . The complete absence of sound doesn't usually scare you, in fact since you were young, one of your favourite parts of the day has always been the ten minutes of silence you allow yourself right after you return home.

But you're not home right now, you're far from it. You're in an unfamiliar city and you're lost. Your family should be here somewhere, but you can only call for them, you can't hear if they're calling for you. All you have to rely on right now, is your eyes. But in this busy crowd all you manage to catch is glimpses of people and under the hot Vienna sun, you're eyes are starting to give out on you.

This isn't working you decide. You need to sit somewhere for a second, you need to catch your breath and regroup. But that's easier said than done. You need to find somewhere to sit first, and so with a deep breath you go back to pushing yourself through the crowd.

Suddenly, your knocked to the ground by someone behind you. Almost the millisecond you make contact with the sun warm pavement, someone steps on your hand. You quickly pull it back, and try to stand again, but thats easier said than done when no one will make even the tiniest bit of space for you. (note to self, never let your sister convince you to go to a street parade ever again.)

You're about to start panicking again, when someone pulls you up by your elbow. You quickly turn to thank the person, when you are sudenly and abruptly rendered speechless by what you see. It's an older man, maybe around forty if you had to guess, with dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and scars peeking out from behind his surgical mask, but that's not what shocks you, no, what really gets you, is his sheer size. He's towering over you. He has to be at least two meters tall.

You suddenly realize that you have stared at this man for an uncomfortable amount of time, so you quickly use your 'all purpose get out of jail free card', and use sign language to tell him that your deaf.

His eyes go wide for a second, before he shocks you by replying in perfect ÖGS "okay. Don't worry I'll help you"

Then he takes your elbow again and starts walking. The crowds naturally part for him and you can't help but be amazed by his hight once more. He makes other grown men look almost like children in comparison. You wonder what you look like next to him.

The two of you stop in front of a bench that's about a street away from the parade. You finnaly get a moment to breathe, imidiatly collapsing onto it and almost crying from relief. "thank you" you sign to the kind stranger

"it's nothing." he replies. He then seems to think for a moment before adding "why we're you alone? Do you not have anyone to take care of you?"

You're sure your anger must be evident on your face right now, but you really don't care. Especially from who you thought was a fellow deaf person, this really hurt "I'm a grown woman!" you sign, making sure to let your anger be seen in the size of your words as you gesture wildly.

"a grown woman?" he replies. "yes?" you reiterate, still angry but now more so confused. Did he think you you're a child? You can look a bit young sometimes.

"im sorry. I thought you were much younger. My name is k-ö-n-i-g" he fingerspells, before asking "what's your name?" you quickly spell yours as well before showing him your sign name.

As soon as he sees it, he tries it out himself, carefully imitating the motion with a soft smile in his eyes. "it's pretty" he concludes once he's done.

You smile too before signing "I'm sorry for being so rude earlier. I get mistaken for being younger all the time I should have known better. I just thought you were saying that cause I was deaf."

He blinks his eyes in understanding before replying "it's alright. I know what it's like to feel underestimated."

You nod in understanding, then you ask"what's your sign name by the way? I think you forgot to tell me, or maybe I just missed it. "

"I don't have one. I'm not deaf, I just go mute sometimes because of anxiety."

You nod sympatheticly , when suddenly you remember that you still need to find your family "could I maybe use your phone? My phone is dead and I need to facetime my sister. She is here with me, but I lost her"

König nods before articulating "yes you can, but I left it in my car." then he points towards a big parking lot before continuing "its right there. Just follow me and I'll let you use it"

You quickly get up and follow the man. You are so greatful that you met him today. You really don't know what you would have done without him.

His car is standing at the back of the parking lot under the shade of a big tree. You let your eyes wander through the green leaves down the sturdy trunk and then back to König as he unlocks the car.

When your gaze falls upon him again though, it's not a phone he's holding, it's a syringe . Faster than you can react, he plunges it into your neck and you're out almost instantly.

The last thing you feel is konig putting the seatbelt over you.

König can't help but smile. He's always wanted a child. He had almost given up on that dream, almost accepted that it would never come true, and then here you come, clearly in need of help.

Don't worry! papa will take care of you now. He'll make sure that you're never wandering around like that all on your own again.
