As most people are working and studying from home right now, I wanted to share some concrete, implementable ways you can help yourself feel better. Though I believe productivity and quantity of work done (or lack thereof) doesn’t/shouldn’t translate into your self-worth and how you view yourself, when you get work done, you actually do feel better in your own body.
By the way, it’s the first time I’m formatting a tips/guide post like this, so I apologize that I couldn’t be more concise.
I’ve spoken to a licensed professional counsellor as well as to some professionals who have been working from home for a long time, and some of the advice above is from them. I’m also sharing from my own experience as someone who used to be very productive and an (ex-)overachiever, and still attach a lot of my self-worth to grades and other tangible accomplishments. I hope these slides can help you. In case it’s hard to read, I’ve included it (reworded) in text form if you’d like to read more.

shit i’ve heard chemistry majors say
- *student in a lab coat, cutting in the cafeteria line* YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND I DON’T HAVE A LOT OF TIME MY EXPERIMENT IS GOING TO CATCH FIREEEE
- *loud pop* student, in very calm voice: well that was painful
- lab assistant, seeing me frantically pulling on gloves: oh no. what did you do now
- professor: come on guys, don’t hate on social sciences majors… it’s not their fault they were born this way
- so i was grading your tests last night. i wanted to kill someone.
- you have five minutes until the end of class to finish the test. but i want to go outside for a smoke, so three
- *section of lab report titled “applications of compound”* i heard that a drug cartel used it to dissolve bodies, should i list that?
- “i’m synthesizing this compound in my next lab class, what kind of stuff effects the success rate and yield?” “dunno man, it depends on your karma”
- based on my recent lab assignments, i have come to the conclusion that the professor wants me dead
- dude, Fehling’s solution contains glucose, what if it tastes like lemonade? *proceeds to dip finger in and lick it* well that was a disappointment. the potassium hydroxide makes it kinda bitter.
- professor: you’ll understand this concept in your fifth year student: sir, this is a four-year program professor: oh, then never
Life as a graduate
Grad school
So I had this whole plan set up for when I graduated from college. Get a job to get some money to save up and a bit of experience, then apply to some master programs (most likely online since no place near me has masters in my field), continue working while going to school, graduate then PhD.
No one wants to hire someone without experience and the school I am desperate to get into you have to take the GRE for. So till I get a job I'm gonna just throw myself into studying.
😭 wish me luck.

A new coffee bean just opened and I just love the interiors and the lighting! And it’s just right across from where I live. Finally, a new study place! Idk why but I’m not a huge fan of their coffee though.
I will be trying my best to be active again. I’m now in my 3rd year of law school. I started my studyblr during my first year and it has helped me de-stress from my law school life.
Super duper thankful of the upperclassmen and seniors who willingly share their notes with us! You are the real MVPs! Wouldn’t survive law school without you guys!

Semester hasn't been going great, but I've come to the conclusion the best thing I can do is dedicate myself to nothing else but school

Study routine : night owls version
Since a lovely anon asked for the nighttime version of this routine, here it is!
Now we all have different bedtimes and I have no idea what is actually an ideal time to go to bed, so this routine is based on my usual timings, obviously if they don’t match up with yours feel free to modify!
Our goal is to get in quality time, just made sure you get something done!
Rules :
Follow the routine given below for 30 days (no issues if you miss, I’m gonna miss somedays too)
Post a pic of your work space (no aesthetic required, just a little feel good thing for you so that you actually want to get more ish done)
Mention your goal for the study session
Have fun and be productive :)
The routine :
Begin at : 9:30pm
Study session #1 : 9:30pm to 10:15pm
Mini break : 10:15pm to 10:25pm
Study session #2 : 10:25pm to 11:00pm
Break : 11:00pm to 11:05pm
Final study session : 11:05pm to 11:30pm
Bedtime :11:30pm to 7:30am?
I get that this might get very late for some, so here’s another plan for evening, but this may clash with your work schedule so pick whatever you want!
Study session 1 : 7:00pm to 7:40pm
Major Break : 7:40 to 7:50pm
Study session 2 : 7:50pm to 8:30pm
Break : 8:30pm to 8:35pm
Study session 3 : 8:35pm to 9:00pm
Both routines cover 95 minutes, feel free to add more if you really get into it!
And finally, tag me in your #30donr posts!
Thanks, hope you enjoy this one!

This is my senior year, I hope to be graduating in May with 2 degrees. In order to do that I'm going to be using this to keep me on track! Let's hope it works.
Beautiful day outside and I'm stuck in here doing calculus.
