On my 5th 10th 15th rewatch (you’re welcome, Netflix) of part 1 I realised how much I like angry Colin and hope to see more of him in part 2.

In this scene…

…Eloise makes Colin aware that him helping Pen may not look right (i.e. can affect his prospects) because he’s the most eligible bachelor blahblahblah etc. You can see it clicking in his head and he agrees with Eloise’s (very) sensible comment.

But then in this scene…

…(putting LW issue aside) his instant reaction is to go into full Pen-protection mode, not a single self-oriented thought going through his head. Huh, my prospects what? Don’t care. He’s all about Pen. And this is Colin blind to his feelings, before his descent into madness. Imagine what love-aware Colin is going to be like in part 2 when someone dares to hurt his Pen.
