Old high school graduates who moved onto College didn’t last more then a semester, and so she knew from being seen all over town. But it didn’t mean they weren’t smart. “But indeed, welcome back.” Yet, she was the same woman she was before the girl went off to school, same home, same family.
“Soooooo, Lil. What’s the ‘haps? What’d I miss? Anything new and exciting goin’ on for ya?” Mae leans against the white fence post. If she hadn’t smoked a bowl with Gregg that morning, she probably wouldn’t stop to chat. Alas, the cannabis treat did make her feel especially sociable...
