YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN
“I love how happiness washes over me in a strange warmth, like being drunk on contentedness. Forgetting every worry. Perhaps that’s why people drink their souls away. They crave the high, but all it leaves is stains on your liver and the aftertaste of memories that still haunt them at night.”
— tara love / bittersweet
“She’s the kind of girl who never calls you, even when she needs you more than anything, you could get a text back from her after 3 hours, ‘cause she’s lost herself in another John Green’s book, she may love you, but she’d rather spend time with her tv-shows than make dinner with you, she’s the kind of girl who messages you at 5 am with some weird facts she read on tumblr, she loves dancing with the devil and is the most self-destructive person I’ve ever met, she doesn’t like talking about her parents and future plans, but she’s obsessed with psychology and universe, she would talk all day long about how somewhere there’s a mushroom that grows in the wild and tastes like fried chicken or that a single human male produces enough sperm in two weeks to impregnate every fertile woman on the planet, she always used to read the last page of the book to know how it ends, she told me this is called “the spoiler paradox”, when knowing the end of a story doesn’t hurt the experience of the story, it actually makes you enjoy the story more, you could hurt her again and again and she would let you in everytime you call her 'darling’, when the skies were grey she could paint them in blue and white with her smile and eyes, she is naive, but honest.”

Silence Doesn’t Always Mean Yes // ma.c.a
…..men always quiz me when i claim to like something they like too. cause in their minds i’m either a.) lying to appeal to them/gain their approval or b.) only capable of having a superficial understanding of the subject and they need to “expose” me
…. and yes…. i’ve let u…. use me from the day….. that we first met… but i’m not…. done yet…. falling for ur….. fool’s gold….
can you promise me something? can you love, me even on my bad days?
Remember when How I Met Your Mother turned out to just be 9 seasons of Ted Mosby trying to justify to his children that it was 100% okay to bang their Aunt Robin now that their mom was dead.
can we all come together and agree that the saying “no one can truly love you until you love yourself” is trash. loving yourself takes time, and it isn’t always easy. Know that there are people out there who love you, even when you struggle to.
“There is so much left in the things unsaid. There is a battle in the avoided eye contact and ignored messages. There is history behind the deleted pictures and thrown away memories. Every heartbreak has a story, a tale of love and loss and how it all fell apart.”
— Another tragic ending.
FIVE PEOPLE YOU FALL IN LOVE WITH:
1. the one who breaks your heart; it hurts. it hurts watching them be perfectly okay when you’re sitting in the quiet of the night, ripping your bloody chest out of your heart. their taste lingers on your lips for months after and the warmth of their words feels like daggers. did they love you? do they, when they’re looking in the eyes of someone else, think of what you used to have? do they cry? do they even miss you? probably not.
2. the one whose heart you break; you didn’t mean to. something changed and the fire that once burned brightly inside your chest was dark. the soft lull of their once lovely laughter falls flat on your ears and you pull away. you pull away, repulsed by how desperate they try to cling and angry at yourself for ever falling out in love with them.
3. the one who never loved you; you clung onto them like a growing vine, twisting inwards and growing flowers on their surface. they looked so happy with you wrapped around them, willing to bend until you were close to breaking. they loved the idea of you, you loved them. they loved using you, you loved their smile. they love causing your pain, you loved their attention.
4. the one who gives love a new meaning; saturday mornings never felt so refreshing. the sound of their gentle singing swells your heart with uncontrollable love, making you smile at the liberating thought of spending your life with them. they take you out for midnight drives, make you feel loved with every touch, and give you a meaning to exist. they’re emotional, raw, and just the person you need. the person you love.
5. yourself; it takes time. it takes time to stop trying to destroy yourself at every minute but it happens.. the uncooperative hair that you once screamed about frames your face perfectly, illuminating the eyes you once swore to hate. the weight on the scale doesn’t match the accomplishments littered around your home. the laughter of your spouse, the pitter-patter of the children’s feet (human or pet), and the scent of your favourite dish filling the kitchen.
yeah. you fell in love. but nothing will never match falling in love for the first and last time.
“I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love.”
— Marilyn Monroe (via brattyl0lita)
“For a star to be born, there is one thing that must happen: a gaseous nebula must collapse. So collapse. Crumble. This is not your destruction. This is your birth.”

21 Starry Prompts
Here are writing prompts inspired by the stars. Prompts 4 to 21 are lines from poems I’ve written. I hope they inspire you to create something. If you do, please @ me so I can track and read it. :) Use the tag #starlitpoems too. No deadlines. Feel free to pass this on.✨
I panic when the stars are absent from the sky.
When I look into the stars, I feel like I’m being called home.
I hide secrets in the constellations.
We’re not as disconnected as we think. Constellations make sense, don’t they?
I let you take the galaxy within me, my unheard screams mourning lost stars and stolen twilights.
Take me, make me shiver. Trace starlight on my skin.
The constellations all point to you.
If we walk hand in hand till the stars shine above, will we share our first kiss and confess our love?
Not used to sharing my blanket of stars but I will make room for you if you catch a falling star for me.
Cocooned in the blanket of midnight far from earthly hurt, but hoping someone would notice me twinkling and wish upon me.
We’re as temporary as the fireworks that light up the sky. Let’s just promise to remember we’re impermanent constellations, but at least for a while, we lit up the sky together.
There’s a light within you — feel it, embrace it, be the star that you are.
I press my lips to the stars, so when starlight hits your form tonight my kiss lands on curve of neck and shoulder - think of me and how much someone wants you.
If the stars shined differently for us, what starlit stories would we be weaving?
As my fingers played connect the dots with the glowing lights, I wondered how it would feel if my limbs dissolved into the stardust that lies deep within our bones.
Can’t wait for the stars to cover the sky so I can come home to you.
Legs tangled beneath the moon, silhouettes dusted in midnight’s starlight.
She walks with starlight in her hair.
Desires peak, bodies speak, moon soars, stars shine. No thoughts about tomorrow — tonight you are mine.
Let’s light up the sky with the galaxies we ignite in each hearts.
Like the stars have guided me home, like a thousand tingling constellations dance beneath my skin, like supernovas burst through my body - this is how you make me feel.
