Even now, where the forest should be silent, she could hear the scuttering of prey in the underbrush and the flapping of an owl’s wings. The apprentice could hear the gentle lapping of waves on the lake’s shore and the rushing water on RiverClan’s territory. Warrior Cats fandom is hilarious fjxnxn like. For context- official character merch has only recently (like the last two years) started to come out. This is because character design and headcanons is a fucking battle field. The longest running debate in the wc fandom is what color collar a character named Scourge has. And with good reason. In official art, he has been shown with orange, purple, and red.
He was in one single book. That came out in 2004. For about maybe a total of 6 chapters. And this has been hotly debated since then. Until. Until September 7th the year of Our Lord 2021 when Leopardstar’s Honor, a Super Edition book came out that had this paragraph:
This was it. Final confirmation. It was purple.Written here in black and white: Scourge’s collar was Purple.
Fast forward to December. Warrior Cats dot com decided to do a little advent calendar- each day unlocked a little write up on a character or news. Then today, December 8th 2021, the advent was a first look at the third installment of figures.
*Record scratch* Wait. What? Is that…? No.. It couldn’t be… Enhance..
Scourge…. With a Red Collar…. The Warrior Cats ‘mews’ broke on twitter and reactions were as you’d expect..
Also of note during this whole thing, Ashfur- a widely fan favorite cat because he is so Batshit crazy also got a figure- hes the grey tabby. However his official description is Spotted Tabby and the fandom rioted so bad about the stripes in the 17 hours it was up they had to go i to the post and update it to show the back of the figures to assure everyone that he did have spots.
