When Casey was younger, they often visited a beautiful Hamato Garden that Mikey created with his ninpo. It was like an illusion room of a serene place where time stands still. Inside the air felt warm, the light never faded and for a little while it was easy to forget that the world outside was falling apart.
Casey doesn't remember much of the little things he saw there that one can't see anywhere anymore in this broken world, but he always remembers the feeling when he was with his family. Safe.
One night, Mikey said something that never left Leo's mind.
He didn't understand back then why it felt heavy to hear.
I WAS gonna do a thing noticing how Casey's hair gradually goes from slicked back to kinda in his face. But then I realized. HE DOESN'T GRADUALLY CHANGE UP HIS HAIR.
Through out the You are in the past, your thoughts are in the future bit, he either has slicked back hair or he like just woke up.
BUT YOU KNOW THE MOMENT HE STARTS LETTING HIS HAIR BE IN HIS FACE!?!?!
HERE! HE GOT POSESSED! And after this, we only see him slick his hair back a few times after he brought Donatello back.
Whatever got him to change up how he does his hair, I think it gives a nice contrast to THIS scene
Like, I forgot for a second that Casey's hair used to be like that. And it feels like so long ago. And Present Casey's hair is a bit longer, too.
AND OH SHIT!! I JUST REALIZED ANOTHER THING JUST NOW GETTING SCREENSHOTS!!
Raph JUST realized this kid is Casey! He just realized he was out long enough for his kid to get a whole lot older and forget about him!

Fanfiction is so silly. I am playing with my dolls and people are coming over to watch. Some of them even clap and give me compliments. And when I'm done playing, I can go and watch other people play with their dolls.
