Yeah, so basically if all five of you had to be assigned a wuxing phase, it would go:
You = Wood, Natsuki = Fire, Monika = Earth, Sayori = Metal, and Yuri = Water.
Because the five phases are meant to encompass all manifestations of reality, they all have a ton of associations, and they also interact with each other in different cycles, so let me walk you through it.
Wood/You corresponds to spring time, curiosity, growth, sight, childhood, and benevolence. It represents your coming into your own personhood, and your perceptiveness and helpful nature. Wood flows into Fire (Natsuki), and yields to Metal (Sayori).
Fire/Natsuki relates to passion, intensity, joy, frenzy, propriety, taste, youth, and high summer (which itself corresponds to the characters in her name). It flows into Earth (Monika), and yields to water (Yuri).
Earth/Monika relates to agreeableness, anxiety, planning, fidelity, touch, adulthood, change (starting the club, the epiphany) and the end of summer. It leads into Metal (Sayori) and yields to wood (you).
Metal/Sayori relates to intuition, compassion, grief, depression, righteousness, smell, furriness, and the fall. It flows into water (Yuri), and yields to fire (Natsuki).
Water/Yuri relates to erudition, resourcefulness, wit, caution, nervousness, wisdom, peeing on stuff, old age, and the shelled (like an exoskeleton) as well as winter. It flows into wood (you) and yields to Earth (Monika).
Finally, its important to note that unlike the Greek view of four elements, the wuxing phases are not substances but instead more like states of matter/being. They exist in constant conversation and continuum with each other, inextricably linked and mingling - just like the literature club.
this is so cool! i like being assigned to stuff. i like the spring time. i wish my childhood was really mine, but it's okay.
i think we all flow into and yield into each other, in some way, but there's things some of us are better at doing for the others. but we need each other! we can't really be apart. a lot of things tried to force us, but I think there's something keeping us together despite everything.
thanks for the ask, yuri's gonna love this
