While continuing through the woods not long after placing the new letter on the forest floor, Owen feels an overwhelming feeling of being watched. Nothings there though, nothing in the trees, nothing behind him and there's no trace that someone is there.
@mayorburntdown
Owen tries to shake the feeling, but he canât get it to go away.
Blasted thoughtsâŠ.first these letters, now this feeling. Why must the mind play tricks on him like this?
Continuing to walk through the woods, he gets frustrated as the feeling only grows stronger, and he grumbles to himself under his breath, unintelligible complaints about tricks of the mind.
Someone is above him, he's sure of it. That wasn't some bird that shook that entire branch above him. Someone. Was. Here. And they were watching him too
TheseâŠthese damn letters. Was whoever sending them trying to drive him mad?
His breathing quickened as he read. Could thisâŠreally be from Louis? No, no way. He was dead. Dead.
So why did some irrational part of him cause him to mutter something out loud, a secret confession that only the wind (and perhaps whoever was hidden in the trees) could hear?
The voice comes from the branches above, it sounds familiar, but he can't place who it is. There's movement from above and then a flash of pale white through the leaves. No. No. No. There's no way, it must be one of the others, right? But what if-?
He stepped backward on instinct at the voice, familiar and yet not. The flash of pale white through the leavesâŠ.it couldnât be.
But the voice didnât sound like any of the others.
Letting a tiny spark of hope ignite in his heart, he called out to the canopy of branches.
âHow? How can I find you?â
Sure, this may all be some sick, twisted game that a human is playing on him. ButâŠsome delusional part of him wanted to play along for a bit. Just in caseâŠ.maybe it wasnât a hallucination.
Drawn in by his own stupid curiosity and that damn spark of hope, Owen quickly began to climb into the branches of the tree that seemed to be closest to the voice.
âYou sound amused. Is this a game to you?â
Perhaps if he could get this mysterious voice talking, he could figure out who it was.
"Maybe, you'll never know if you don't continue though"
The voice comes from the other side of the trees, they must be blocked by the trunk. And just like predicted there's another flash of white on the other side of the trunk, the figure jumps up to the branches above and continues to climb
As the top of the tree comes up, there's nothing. No sign of anyone.. whats going on? Then out of nowhere the voice responds
"Really I would love to see your reaction"
Its from the branch right above Owen, its a small branch and probably the last one you could properly stand on. The figure stands there white hair long and flowing down their back and red eyes piercings.. how? Theres no way, he was dead, burnt to dead. But there they were before him
A smile appears on Louis face. It can't be there's no way this must be some dream?
"Its true-"
At the sight of Owen about to cry Louis jumps down to his branch and cautiously places a hand on Owen's face, carefully they wipe away any tears trying to form
"Dear there's no need to cry"
(whoa same!!!! Got the Lovebitten playlist blasting while drawing them its very fitting, anyways I do think I will be going to sleep soon so if I don't answer I'm probably asleep)
He shook his head frantically, laughing almost hysteric with delirious excitement.
âNo, i would never want this to be a dream, Lou. I mean, I dreamed about this happening. ButâŠ.I never imagined my dreams would become a reality.â
They run a finger across his face pushing a rogue strand of hair behind his ear. This was wonderful, everything Louis had ever wanted since the last time they saw each other. God that was 200 years ago?
"Nor did I, I've dreamt this very moment for years. But here we are"
He never flinched away from Louisâ hand, trusting him completely. He didnât quite know what to do now. Sure, heâd dreamt of this moment as well for 200 years, butâŠ
"I've missed you as well, dearest. I've missed you so so much"
Tears of pure joy start form at the corners of their bloodshot eyes, but before they could escape Louis quickly wipes them away. One of them was already crying there wasn't a need for the both of them to start
They try to speak but are cut off by the tears that now escape their eyes, hes unable to wipe them away so they let them flow freely down their face. Louis laughs as well, of course they could show emotion to Owen there was no need to hide them anymore, this moment was just to much to repress those emotions
Owen laughed along with Louis, tears still welling at his eyes as well. This whole situation still feltâŠ.so unreal.
Feeling none of the hesitation he felt around the townsfolk, he wrapped his arms around Louis quickly in a hug, a tight embrace that heâd longed to do for 200 years.
âI never thought Iâd get to do this againâŠâ
He murmured into the mayors shoulder, almost inaudible.
Louis holds onto Owen scared that maybe if he let go they would be back on that pire fearing that they would never see him again, or worse Owen would be on that pire. They try not to hold onto Owen to hard trying to to hurt him but they really have no control over their body right now, joy and fear has fully taken them over at this point
"I- I thought I would never see you again, that you were gone forever"
They still at the question, how could they possibly answer that? It was such a difficult decision for them to make in the moment, the decision to wait until the time was right.. 200 years..
"I... It was too much of a risk, I had to wait"
This was probably the best answer Louis could give, it was cryptic but it was the best explanation
âIâŠ.I suppose that makes sense. Iâm sorry for asking when it must have been a hard decision for you, Lou. You justâŠ.surely you understand why I ask?â
"It was hard.. I still don't know if it was the right decision. I'm so sorry, I should have come back"
Louis stuffs they're head into the place where Owen's shoulder and neck meet, its a bit damp from the tears that still stream down their face but it doesn't entirely matter at the moment
"I'm sorry"
(Them.. sobs, they're so everything to me. Sadly I do think I need to sleep now as it's almost half past one. Goodnight!)
Louis holds Owen, he holds onto him so so tight their nails digging into his clothes. He still smelled like himself from 200 years ago, the musty wood smell they had always loved.
They didn't want this moment to end, but I has to end at some point right? Maybe if they just hold on long enough it wouldn't end.
"I don't want this to end, I want to stay like this forever"
He felt the nails digging into his clothes, but he didnât care. Owen had been waiting for this for 200 years, it was worth every second and ounce of slight discomfort.
âI donât want this to end eitherâŠ.â
Owen paused, thinking for a moment.
âSoâŠ.now that youâre hereâŠwill you come back to Oakhurst? You couldâŠ.likely stay at the castle with me and the other vampires. They may be slightly annoying, but they mean well. You of course donât have to, we could always do something else, go somewhere else. Whatever you want.â
Louis relaxes a bit and looks up at Owen from where they lay their head, he sounds confused like other vampires in Oakhurst could never be a thing. Many vampires in one place could end badly, they had said that to Owen before so why was Owen with them? Didn't he know that it was a bad idea? None the less Louis was curious on who these other vampires were
(Giggles Lovebitten playlist <3 I really want to continue but I need sleep :< )
âYes, there areâŠ.quite a few. Only one elder. The rest are all either his newly turned fledglings or fledglings of the fledglings if you can believe it. Theyâve been turning people left and rightâŠ.â
He sighed and slowly let go of Louis to rub the bridge of his nose exasperatedly.
"I knew there were new people in the town.. I had no idea there were other vampires besides you. Also an elder? How many fledglings?"
So many questions, so many new things to Louis. Where did these other vampires come from? Why are there so many fledglings? And of course there's chaos, so many vampires and humans so close together and not to mention the fledglings
A look of slight distaste flickered across his face as he thought about Scott. Sure, Scott was the only one in the coven that he actually sort of tolerated, but he wasâŠ..he just was. There was no description that fit Scott Goldsmith properly.
âA Goldsmith. As for the number of fledglingsâŠ.â
He thought for a moment, counting on his fingers. Pyro, Shelby, Apo, Cleo.
âFour of them.â
{ooc} figured this would be soon after ep 3 or something since if it was any later owen probably wouldnât be as sort of lighthearted as he is rn-
Owen hummed, leaned into Louisâ hand, enjoying the gentle touch heâd missed for 200 years.
âI suppose so, yes.â
âŠ
âSo, what do you plan on doing? We could go back to the castle, we could attempt to run off somewhere but Iâm not sure if weâd be able to because of the beaconsâŠ.or we could just enjoy this moment for now and talk about it later. Which would you prefer?â
Owen started to guide Louis down from the tree, never letting go of his hand. If he let go, maybe heâd lose him again.
âSoâŠ.do you want to go to the castle straight away? Or we could walk aroundâŠ.or just talk if weâre walking to the castle. IâŠhonestly donât mind any option.â
The lumberjack seemed to be a bit of an awkward mess, a side of himself he never really shared with anyone. He justâŠgot this way around Louis. Louis was the only person he ever let past his defences.
They laugh, both at the fact that they couldn't really choose what to do and how awkward Owen was becoming. It was nice to see that side of him, they missed how open he would get with them.
"I suppose we could just walk for now, the castle can always wait... Unless it can't"
He set off in the direction of the castle, still holding onto Louisâ hand tightly. His bandages were rough to the touch, but he hoped Louis didnât mind.
âWhat were you even up to during those 200 years, if I may ask? I must admit Iâm curious.â
Louis nods and begins to walk along with Owen. He enjoys the touch of Owen holding his hand, the bandaged didn't bother him at all, it brought a sense of nostalgia to the former mayor.
"I was in hiding..."
Louis looks away in embarrassment at how he had just gone and hid when he thought his loved one was gone.
"..I thought you were dead, I didn't know what to do"
Louis moves his hand away for a second to see if Owen was ok with it, then he moved his hand to gently play with his curly hair as an attempt to comfort him
"Please don't do that again.. I- I don't want you to hurt yourself like that.."
\\ I'm the #1 bloodsmitten (Louis x Scott) fan and I'm losing my mind. Also Elderfangs(?) (Louis x Scott x Owen) please make content of them guys I'm losing it

It was always so nice and painful to be back here. Leviathan visited Cleo and Pearl.. paid respects at graves until..
Him.
Gripping the bouquet of flowers, Levi noted how the dirt was messed up.. not normally oddâ animals would find themselves around some times.
Crouching down, gently fixing the dirt. They laid the flowers on top afterwards.
Forget-me-nots, white orchids, pink carnations, purple tulips and pink camellias.
An I miss you type of bouquet.
Staying crouched down for awhile, their eyes studying the tombstone standing there before an exhale left them. Levi's head dropped slightly down, as they mumbled something under their breath. Probably a little prayer, it wasn't impossible for the priest to do just that.
"come to visit him?" A familiar voice says in a quiet but sad tone from Owens grave. Though even being able to see through the darkness it seems like no one is there, only the moonlight that shines onto the grave. Then suddenly a figure appears out if nowhere, like it wasn't there and then it was. The figure is familiar, his white hair and red clothes and the way you could almost see right through him. It was Louis.

a woman enters Oakhurst a few days after the barrier falls. She is tall and lanky, long silver hair pulled back in a bun and reddish brown (but mostly red) eyes peer curiously out from a pair of thick glasses attached around her neck by a gold chain. She carries medical supplies and food in a bag over her nurse apron.
the woman spends some time exploring the now abandoned town. The weight of the death that happened here pulls on her mind slightly, but seemingly not enough to dissuade her from settling in a house already set up partially to be a clinic (legundoâs old house). Setting her supplies down she continues to explore the town for a bit before returning to the borrowed home.
content she is alone with naught but the ghosts of the past to see her, the woman pulls out a wine bottle and sets it on the table before taking a cloth and wiping at her face. A routine of sorts. The cloth gently removes her makeup and somehow⊠the winkles around her eyes as well!
@elizabeth-thornhill
Louis had been watching the newcomer since she came to Oakhurst, he was curious to see who this new person- no... Vampire, was. The vampire sort of reminded him of the doctor who came to Oakhurst with the other new residents and Owen. Her nurses clothing and doctors tools, her choice of home that would suit her need for a clinic and just her overall vibe reminded him of the doctor.
The ghost had watched as the vampire takes out a bottle of wine and wipes off the makeup and wrinkles off her face. It impresses him how she could be able to make herself look much more different than what she actually looked like with just makeup. He did learn how to do his makeup when he was human, but was never thaught how to make wrinkles with it.
Nevertheless the less he continues to watch as he moves around the cabin, but while doing so he steps on a creaky floorboard. Louis hopes that the other was too focused on what she was doing and that she wouldn't notice the loud creak from behind her, but unfortunately vampires have some of the best hearing...
Elizabeth had felt like she was being watched for a while now. She hadnât smelled anything or heard anything to tell her she wasnât alone so she had chalked it up to the vibes of the town. That changed when the floorboard creaked behind her.
she froze but didnât turn around. She sensed no apprehension or tension that came from preparing to fight and it was better to talk then to fight. She didnât like hurting anyone if she could avoid it.
âI know someoneâs thereâ she called loudly adjusting the cloth so it could cover her face. She could explain her appearance to nosey humans easily but melting wrinkles was harder to explain away. She might have to just deal with being younger here if they had already seen that. Something must be wrong with her senses because even knowing there was someone behind her she couldnât smell them. Couldnât hear a heartbeat or breathing.
âI commend your ability to remain undetected but if you wish to speak to me, speak to me. I do not like playing gamesâ
she turned to face the other as she spoke.
only to find the space behind her ⊠empty?
Louis freezes in place when the other calls out to him, he knows he can't be seen if he doesn't wish to be, but for some odd reason he felt that if he moved he would be spotted. Even when the vampire turns around and finds nothing she can see behind her Louis still stays frozen in place.
After a few moments pass with the other looking confused and the ghost staying frozen, Louis realizes that what he was doing was stupid. Did he really just think he would be spotted when invisible to everyone? This makes him chuckle, which just makes things even more confusing to the vampire.
Elizabeth stares in befuddlement at the empty spot. (OOC: She looks like when you confuse a puppy)
Was it possible the old house was just settling? Am I that paranoid? I really needed to relaxâŠ.
A soft chuckle
Her head snaps to the sound. Right above where she heard the creak.
Something was here. And it was laughing at her!
She knew she could turn invisible with her vampiric ability, though she rarely did. Something was here, invisible to her senses, likely another vampire. Well if they were here and invisible, she could catch them. From her experience with other vampires she knew she was faster than most of them.
She leaned on that ability and in a split second she lunged towards the sound, claws extended.
instead of sinking into a solid body her claw fell right through frigid air, a flash of what felt like fire hit her senses but it was gone the moment it registered, leaving only the faint smell of smoke in her nose for some reason.
she stumbled and fell. Shaking her head to rid the sensation. She stared dumbly ahead and then gave her own chuckle, high and loud and almost hysterical. She ran her hand through her hair and shook her head before concluding
âIâm going insane, this place. Is making me insane!â
Immediately when Louis is just beginning to feel less frightened he's being lunged at. The vampire goes through him, but it isn't a pleasant experience for the ghost. He stares at the other with wide eyes even though she can't see him.
Was it the best idea to say something? Or would that only make things worse? Or maybe he could try to become visible?
He decides to stay invisible, but maybe just try to say something before the vampire actually believes she's going insane.
"Theres no need to worry, you aren't going insane" Louis says in a quiet and comforting voice.
Elizabeth looked over her shoulder where ⊠again⊠there was nothing there.
âRight⊠Iâm not insane because itâs perfectly normal to talk to airâ she murmured more to herself than anything. Still curiosity beat the annoyance and she stood, brushing off her skirts before turning around the look at the empty space where the sound had come from.
âWhereâŠ. What are you? How come I canât ⊠perceive you? Sense you I guess?â
her voice was full of only curiosity, no hostility, as she replied
âIf you donât want to be perceived why speak up? You could very well have let me think it was the wind or something similar..â
she leaned forward as if closing the distance would help her see better. When that didnât work she waved her hand over the creaky floor board staring at her fingers as the same strange sensation prickled across her skin
âand you didnât answer my question, what kind of creature are you? Iâve never met a creature that could hide themselves from my senses so completely!â
(Elizabeth hummed in appreciation at the former statement. )
âThe need is that in curious!!â She practically wined âPlus! Iâm impatientâ
she stepped forward again swinging her arms in wider circles. Curiosity and mischief bloomed across her face. âI guess I better start guessing then! Are you ⊠whatâs the wordâ she mused still stepping forward with her arms out âphysical? Corporate? âŠ. Corporeal?â She huffed and gave up âcan I touch you?â
from an outside perspective the action would look bizarre at best. A girl with smudging wrinkles and a playfully childish grin stumbling around in an empty home as if she was blind.
The ghost still stand in place. When the girl starts moving her hands around, Louis quickly tries to move out of the way. A few times he's narrowly avoided being "touched". Its like a game, the vampire tries to find where he is and guess what he is while he tries not to be found. And the ghost did not enjoy the game, but he'll go along with it for a bit.
She huffed in satisfaction. A short âhaâ that could almost be a laugh. But she stopped waving her arms wildly.
She stilled and looked around the empty space. In her movement she had lost exactly where the voice had come from. The playful smile didnât leave her lips
âWell that leaves only a few options! I didnât believe any of them existed but with new evidence you must reassess your hypothesis.â
she walked across the small space back to the desk. She leaned down and picked up the cloth from where it had dropped when she lunged, and went right back to removing her makeup.
âWhatever you are you clearly donât mean me any harm.. do you have a name? Iâd rather address you properly than call you the Thing I Canât touchâ
she turned around facing back towards the open area where the creaky floorboards were, her smile wide with mischief playfulness and kindness.
The ghost sighs and it doesn't come from the area with the creaky floorboards, it comes from somewhere else in the room that he moved to. He's both annoyed that this conversation is still going on and relieved that he isn't being swung at anymore.
"My name is Louis, and yours is?"
Louis answers as he moves to stand closer to the vampire. It was a bit of a risky move if she decided to start swinging at home again, but it was a risk he would take.
âElizabethâ she replied with a smile, readjusting her gaze to (hopefully) look at him. She was a woman raised in polite society, and had been taught to look at people when speaking to them.
âIâd shake your hand but I assume that wouldnât work!â laughter filled her voice and she didnât stop smiling. She smiled so much and as far as he could tell it was genuine, though now the mischief had faded left with playful kindness.
as she finished speaking she reached up and undid her bun; shaking her hair out to let it fall in waves over her shoulders. It was long reaching almost to her thighs.
turning slightly she grabbed a book and quill off the table,
âAny particular reason youâve been following me around?â She didnât sound upset, just curious
Even if the other couldn't see his smile, he still began to smile. Anyways she could probably hear the fact that he's beginning to ease up in his voice. "No I suppose not" Louis let's out a little chuckle at the fact that the girl is trying to be polite but it seems that it doesn't work for ghosts. He's also laughing because Elizabeth is facing the wall beside him, and not him.
When Elizabeth finished asking her question, Louis pauses and thinks. Why had he been following her? He knows there are other vampires in Oakhurst, but he hasn't seen them in some time. Did he really have a reason to follow her? The ghost sighs.
"I guess because you're the only one in Oakhurst at the moment. I do know there are two other vampires still here, but I haven't seen them in some time. So I guess you could say I was bored"
her heart glowed as she heard him smile. Her attempt at humor had worked to put him more at ease. A tactic sheâd developed over decades of working with timid patients. She pulled some wood from her inventory, quickly fashioning it into a second chair. The house had only come with one. She set up the chairs in the corner of the home facing each other before sitting in one and motioning to the other. She had no idea if the kind of creature Louis was could even sit but it was polite.
âI had no idea there were other vampires here. Tho I did expect there to be more peopleâŠâ a doctor wasnât very helpful if there was no one to help.. she could wait. She had no doubt more people would arrive eventually
She opened her notebook and fiddled with her quill before scratching some notes and scribbles.
âIâm sure you likely have as many questions for me as I do you, feel free to ask them if youâd likeâ she said with a smile. She directed her gaze to where someoneâs face would be if they were sitting in the other chair even though she had no idea if he was there.
"what brings you to Oakhurst?" Louis asks immediately, letting curiosity take over. Its a question he's been wanting to ask for a while but never new how to ask.
And about the chair that was put down for him. The ghost though doesn't take the chair and stayed standing where he is. He rather not embarrasse himself and take the chance that he might just phase through the chair.
Louis voice was definitely not coming from the chair⊠ah well. She readjusted her gaze to where the sound came from before answering.
âI travel around to different small towns to set up my practice! I train willing residents in medicine so they always have someone in town to go to when injuries happen, and also helping people while Iâm there. I came to Oakhurst for that reason. I was expecting there to be more people here Iâll be honest!â
Her voice practically glowed with pride as she described what she does but she seemed disappointed that there wasnât anyone here to teach.
"This has been a ghost town for the past 200 years, its seems you're out of luck" Louis admits "though recently a new group of residents have come to Oakhurst, but recently just left"
The luck this poor woman had, she just missed the residents that would have needed her help. And even if they didn't come she would still be 200 years late.
She winced slightly making a small âoofâ noise of disappointment and then laughed at her timing.
âbummer. Though if they left the town I likely wouldnât have been much help even if I had caught them. It usually takes at least a few weeks to train in proper first aid.â She didnât know how long theyâd stayed for and so was under the assumption that they had been just passing through.
âI wonder if anyone will come to settle here? I could set up for a little while and wait to seeâŠâ she trailed off words turning to thoughts for a few moments before she turned her attention back to the vague area where the voice had come from last.
âwhat about you? What brings you to Oakhurst?â
"I'm sure people will come around at some point. Not sure when, but it'll happen." Louis let's out a small sigh as he remembers that for all he knows he's stuck here and Owen is gone.
"I've always been here, 200 years ago I was the mayor of this town until I died. Then there was a massacre.." The ghosts voice trails off because for some reason everything is leading back to Owen. If Elizabeth could see him, she would see his that he's staring at the floor and playing with his sleeves, which was a nervous habit of his.
She listened to him with a slight frown. He was dead and had been for two centuries. At least that confirmed what exactly he was. But she felt like her heart was tugging her to give him comfort in some way. His voice was so sad and pained when he spoke.
âdo you want to talk about it? Or.. or maybe ask me more questions to distract yourself? Iâm happy to answer any of themâ
it was clear from her tone that she wanted to help, to know more, but didnât know how.
"Its fine- I'm alright" It was clear he wasn't, and he shouldn't lie to her she was kind and offering to talk about it. It had been years since he could talk about his dearest, so why not take the opportunity?
Elizabeth smiled at that. Though her eyes looked down and off no longer in his general direction. It seemed she was thinking of something that made her smile.
âI know the feelingâ she murmured lost in thought, delicately running her fingers over the edges of her book. She missed her Emily. Safe at Elizabethâs sires manor, training the young humans in ways to keep themselves safe (both medically and in a fight), and waiting for Elizabeth to send word that things were ready and safe so she could join her.
She shook her head and cleared her throat bringing herself back to the present moment
âI know itâs likely not the same. Not at all. 200 years is a long time to be dead. I canât imagine where your dear person is at the moment but I can guess they arenât a ghost as well.â
200 years was a long time to be alone. She hoped the last group had given him some form of company
Louis felt slightly better hearing that Elizabeth felt the same as him, it was oddly comforting to him to know that she may have experience similar things. The loss of a loved one isn't something many want to share.
"I'm glad you understand.. and I'm sorry"
At the last things that Elizabeth said, Louis let's out a sigh, even if she understands the feeling she has no idea what had happened, no idea of how much it hurt. She couldn't imagine where Owen was, but he could, he saw it for himself. "His name is Owen, and he's trapped somewhere in the afterlife, he's suffering for what others think he did wrong. I- I tried to help him but I'm back here" Louis' voice starts to crack a bit at the end as emotions take over him.
âIâm so sorryâ she spoke with genuine compassion as she stood and moved towards him. She stopped just a few feet from her seat, she didnât know where he was. And besides, as much as she wanted to hug him or hold his hand, provide some physical comfort, she knew she wouldnât be able to touch him.
âI wish I could help. But I donât know what I could even do. I havenât tried but Iâm pretty sure I canât get into the afterlife.â She was falling into care habits, making a hopefully funny comment to help the patient. Calm them, make them laugh. She didnât even realize she was doing it until after the words fell off her tongue. She really hopped it wasnât taken poorly.
"Its fine. I'm fine." He sounds like he's trying to convince himself more than convince you. Either way, it wasn't convincing to anyone. Louis' voice comes from a different place in the room, he's begun to walk around the room.
He lets out a sad laugh at Elizabeths attempt to comfort by joking. "I know you can't, he would have done it a long time ago if he could." Louis just sounds so defeated at this point, it seems like he knows that there is no way she could help.
that last part didnât make any sense to elizabeth so she brushed it off. She could ask later, right now her new friend needed her help. She listened for a moment to the odd creek here and there as the ghost moved around the house. Then she made up her mind
âhow bout a distraction thenâ she declared standing up and snapping her notebook shut. âOr as much of one as we can get out here! Why donât you show me around the town! Point out whatâs changed from your life time to know, show me any fun spots, maybe even tell stories about the place! Itâs up to youâ she finished with a smile. Pointed in general at the empty looking room.
Its all quiet for a moment, until something appears in a corner of the room. Its a young looking man with what looks like white hair and red and black clothing, its hard to make out any details as the person is slightly translucent. "Alright, that sound like a good idea, and its hard to point things out when no one can see you." Louis smiles, he's already feeling a bit better.
the brief quiet pulls at Elizabeth. For a moment she wonders if the ghost left, then she notices the apparition in the corner. She stares at what she assumes is the ghost for a long moment taking in his appearance. When he smiles a fang peaks out from his lip, she pieces together the evidence infront of her and gasps âAh! Youâre a vampire! Thatâs incredible!â She moves closer to him looking him up and down in excitement âI didnât know vampires could become ghosts when they died! This has so many implicat- this is so cool!â She words fell off her tongue in such a quick excited way that she cut herself off more than once, changing the sentence mid way through. She started to circle him before realizing she was getting far to ahead of herself.
âuh sorry!â She apologized, stopping infront of him. She ducked her head in embarrassment if she could blush she probably would be. âMy secondary research is vampire biology and how we differ from humans! There are a lot of things that work for one but not the other and youâd be surprised at the overlap our two species have!â She stepped back as she spoke giving him space. She smiled at him, a full proper smile that showed off her own fangs.
âI can tell you about that later if youâre interested! For now, a tourâ
"Yes I am. Unfortunately very few vampires can become ghosts. I was a rare case, it has its perks, but it isn't the best of things to find yourself as after you die" It was only the truth Louis spoke. To his knowledge it was only him who was granted divinity after death, and only him who was cursed with being a ghost.
"But yes I would love to hear more about your studies, its seems interesting" He smiles again, fangs poking out of his mouth once again. He sees Elizabeth open the door for him, which he could have easily fazed through, but it was a kind gesture so he didn't want to let it go to waste. "Thank you, now on with the tour" He beings to move toward the paved path of the town.
a woman enters Oakhurst a few days after the barrier falls.
@elizabeth-thornhill

@elizabeth-thornhill
"I know you can't, he would have done it a long time ago if he could." Louis just sounds so defeated at this point, it seems like he knows that there is no way she could help.
a woman enters Oakhurst a few days after the barrier falls.

While continuing through the woods not long after placing the new letter on the forest floor, Owen feels an overwhelming feeling of being watched. Nothings there though, nothing in the trees, nothing behind him and there's no trace that someone is there.
@mayorburntdown
"..I thought you were dead, I didn't know what to do"
a woman enters Oakhurst a few days after the barrier falls.
@elizabeth-thornhill

If Elizabeth could see him, she would see his that he's staring at the floor and playing with his sleeves, which was a nervous habit of his.
a woman enters Oakhurst a few days after the barrier falls.
@elizabeth-thornhill
