Our Get-Along Blockade

A concept I like to think of when pondering potential crossovers and to explain anachronistic technology.

Basically, Ostania and Westalis kept dragging other countries into their mess, so the rest of the world agreed to blockade them until they settled things.

It's been decades.

I don't know what sort of international cooperation would be needed to actually do this. Yes, I do realize that I'm willfully ignoring the dates in the newspapers that have shown up.

Jazz was minding her own buisness when Joker led Batman down the street she was walking down. The group of Gothamites around her started to scatter immediately, but there was chaos and confusion about which way to go. Joker used this chaos to his advantage and pulled out a grenade.

“You can catch me, or you can save them. Make your choice, Batsy!” Joker cackled as he pulled the pin on the grenade and threw it into the crowd of civilians.

Batman lunged for the grenade, but Jazz was closer. She didn’t know what motivated her to grab the grenade in her hands, but she scooped it up and clamped her fingers around it just as it exploded.

“No!” Batman grunted.

Luckily for Jazz and the crowd, the explosion was contained in her hands and nobody was harmed. Unluckily for Jazz, both Joker and Batman were now staring at her.

“I can explain.” She said lamely, but the silence stretched on several seconds. She had no explanation. Deciding to pull a Danny, she put the shrapnel into Batman’s hand and ran.

Finally, something finished!

This illustration took me almost a month, with long breaks in between.

I'm happy to announce that I can finally take this a bit more seriously. It feels good to be able to draw for longer periods again (obviously with breaks and exercise in between).

Although I must say, I'll be putting one comic, "Meeting Savage," on hiatus and concentrating my energies on the crossover comic. One project at a time is the healthiest thing for me and my body, so you'll soon see DP and RotTMNT collide.
