Agent Cooper's dream, Twin Peaks episode 2, "Zen, or the skill to catch a killer."
This five minutes is exactly why this needs to happen.
That man. That location. That long awaited hug. Tomorrow is going to be fantastic.
On the edge of Penrose state forest, there used to be this abandoned 20ft yacht. Being almost 30km from the nearest body of water, it didn't make any sense or serve any purpose but I enjoyed late night trips down Baronga fire track more than anybody should enjoy venturing into creepy state forests after dark.
"Broliai Mr a Mrs Dursley, rhif pedwar Privet Drive, eu bod nhw'n deulu cwbl normal, diolch yn fawr iawn ichi." So glad I managed to find this before I left the UK. I developed this unexplainable love for all things welsh whilst I was over there so this memento is that little bit extra special.
Favourite.
The majority of my London memories involve Alabama Slammers, sharing tables with strangers and stumbling up stairs to Shaftesbury avenue to realise we had no idea how we were going to get home.
Angelo Badalamenti explains how he created the music for Twin Peaks
The first I heard of this was on Nicholas Jaar's BBC essential mix which is definitely worth 2 hours of your time.
Approximately half of my conversations with British people will be null and void if Australia stops selling Goon.
Reckoning Song - Asaf Avidan This version is also fantastic.
When I first saw John Lewis’ Christmas advert last year, I honestly thought it could not be topped. I ventured to the cinema multiple times leading up to christmas day soley for the chance to catch the ad before the festive season ended. I then drunkenly visited the John Lewis head office in Cardiff at four in the morning to leave a note of praise in my exhaled condensation on their front doors. I saw their new advert almost two hours ago and I’m still not over it. I’m pretty certain nobody at the hostel is enjoying multiple viewings of it as much as I am but I really don’t mind. I’m proud to become a mindless consumer if the brainwashing comes from such brilliantly made advertisements.
I just need this here for a few reasons. Because I've been living above a bowling alley for almost two months now and I rarely go a day without thinking about this scene. Because I love this scene and this movie and this soundtrack. But mostly because for the first time in a long while, some semblance of a love life seems to be forming for me. And I just used the term love-life. Maybe it's out of my system now. Oh! And because the same can be said about my love for Jenna Louise Coleman. Such a fantastic surprise.

"Dominus et Domina Dursley, qui vevbrant in aedibus Gestationis Ligustrorum numero quattuor signatis, non sine superbia dicebant se ratione ordinaria vivendi uti neque se paenitere illius rationis."
I'm under the impression that almost everybody hates long flights; even those who aren't afraid of flying. I don't know if I was lucky with my flight or if I'm one of the few who enjoy the interval between two places, but I enjoyed my journey more than I can easily explain. It wasn't for lack of sadness in leaving, nor was it out of excitement to reach a new place. I simply enjoyed the journey itself. I wish it was then that I started writing things down.
I've started to forget things: the movies I watched on the first leg of my journey, whether airplane food is as bad as people say, what the name of the estate was we used to visit just to sit and look at this one, massive tree.
I know I've completely missed the point of having a blog and I've never been able to keep up a journal but I really, really need to find a way of keeping a record of everything I do and see and experience. Get ready for a whole heap of retrospective blogging and a massive influx of months worth of nothing. I mean, last month an old school friend from home had her first baby. I was over here when I found out she was pregnant. That's nine months of everything I've missed. Nine months of everything else that I've experienced. I just thought I'd start with the flight.
