The 12:07 pm weekday Mass and presence of Bible studies at "Kimberly Dining Hall" are not seen in most other Catholic events flyers from the later decades of the 20th century. The rich schedule of events in comparison to current offerings for Catholic students posted on the Chaplaincy website indicates that the Chaplains' office weathered consortium-wide budget cuts in 1993 fairly well in the years immediately following, perhaps in part due to high support from the community surrounding the colleges which continues to attend events at McAlister including Masses.

During the research for my Red Bull YouTube Deep Dive post I came across a couple promo vids filmed for the Singapore Grand Prix that kind of relied on the whole "foreign food is yucky!" kind of gag (the durian taste test, sort of, but mostly the Albon and Verstappen mystery box, at which they act horrified by tapioca balls, mushrooms, and rambutan). I refuse to be mocked for loving tapioca balls and durian ice cream by Europeans who eat things that are just as strange, and probably with less seasoning! (Even though I shan't lie durian is an acquired taste.)

Anyway, instead of cancelling anyone over these videos, I propose we merely bully every country about their food preferences. In America? OK, make the drivers try Twinkies and spray cheese. (Though according to this clip, Gasly actually enjoyed spray cheese!) France? Escargot. England? Jellied eels. Etc etc. Or have more actual good faith explorations of other cuisines, such as the Gasly and Tsunoda sushi taste test or even the McLaren snack wars (which btw just devolve into Carlos force-feeding Lando decent food and Lando getting distracted by a glass of milk).
