Positive Parkie

# My symptoms were a little weird the past couple of days. I had some bursts of energy at odd times of the day. Also, I’d go through some time where my voice was a little soft or crackling. An example of this would be car karaoke. Most days I’m content with Howard Stern and sports talk. But for the past week, I’ve had music blaring, and me shout/singing at the top of my lungs. Whether my three girls were in the car or not, didn’t matter, I was belting out music to the cheap seats. Of course today I had some mild foot dystonia; but hey, you take the good with the bad, right? #Parkie # YOPD # symptoms # Positive

Jason Reynolds is a great YA author. He is well spoken too. On The Daily Show the other day he talked about how the cannon of books teachers use needs to be fluid. Translation: Teacher’s can’t rely on the same dead authors. As a middle school ELA teacher, I wholeheartedly support that mindset.
