I'm still convinced that Bubble making the blue button take them to "shrimp town" is actually his version of hell because of how the sun burned the shrimp NPC earlier in the episode.
I have a headcanon that despite planning the adventure in Ep 7 of TADC, Caine genuinely did freeze up/glitch when talking to Jax
A Krisnix analysis I don't even remember writing
Major AJ:AA spoilers ahead
It'd be really interesting if when Kristoph said “Is this your idea of revenge ... ?” (in the final part of AJ) he specifically meant revenge for getting Phoenix disbarred, same as canon, but Phoenix for a split second considered that he's asking if this is revenge for Kristoph's indirect 'betrayal': for having made Phoenix believe he was a good person and a good friend, only for everything he's found about him to make him go insane questioning if literally any of their interactions were genuine. But I think even after that split second, Phoenix would know better, and he'd clock that Kristoph is so caught up in his reputation and whatever the hell he thinks the law is, that he projected that in his asking Phoenix if what he did was revenge for his disbarment.
If it's not obvious, I like to delusionaly think that Kristoph actually was a 'good friend', not by any sane person's definition (which excludes me), but I can't help but feel all the financial, general mental and later on top-secret-mission related stress Phoenix must've been going through took a toll on his mental health, and what I imagine is Kristoph got caught off guard, because it'd probably happen very quickly since at the time he didn't really have many people by his side. Then he'd be caught off guard cause it wouldn't at all be fun to watch, but very pitiful. And he'd distract Phoenix and indirectly try to comfort him before he could even think about what he's doing.
I think he'd genuinely come to worry about him, too. They'd never actually explicitly talk about it, but it'd always be an undertone of whatever else they're talking about, especially when Phoenix is sleepy, or not hungry, or forgot to brush his teeth.
It's actually very hard for me to imagine Phoenix attempting or expressing that he's about to attempt suicide and Kristoph saving him. Not only do I believe Phoenix would never do either, even if he was thinking about it, but Kristoph would be so shocked I think he'd freeze. Because if he didn't care about Phoenix, and if he thought he was dumb, he'd be able to pretend to care and say some cliché shit. But if he did care, and since he canonically knows better imo, he would be so beside himself holy hell.
But the scenario of Phoenix thinking about how he deserves to die, not at all even hinting at it, but Kristoph still being able to tell, and subtly telling him he thinks he shouldn't ... man, it makes my chest flower and idek what that means.
Like you can think about the canon aspect in two ways, either Kristoph never killed Phoenix because he had more fun watching his life spiral downward (tho Phoenix in canon is more smug than ever so I doubt the sight of that brought Kris any joy), but I actually feel like the writers would've had him threaten to kill Phoenix out of anger in his court breakdown if that's what they intended, to like put the nail in the coffin that he was never his friend. Or Kristoph just, didn't want to kill Phoenix.
There's a third alternative, that Kristoph only didn't kill Phoenix out of caution, maybe Phoenix is too well known, and it'd draw too much attention. But I mean, Kristoph wants the spotlight. He'd totally forge some evidence to be the star of the trial for who killed Phoenix Wright, if he wanted to kill him.
Okay this is definitely ultra delusional, but you know how in his court breakdown, Kristoph keeps repeating Wright's name like a madman?
I remember when I first played the game I was slightly laughing about how him screaming Wright but not Justice, I think I said some shit about how he's not 'giving me/Justice any credit', but now that I think about it, I wonder if part of why he was so immensely angry at Wright, is because he can't believe his entire life for the past 7 or so years has centered around the guy.
What if he was so obsessed with taking him down for Zak's trial, then he voted against his disbarment because he started becoming obsessed with the idea of fooling him to think he's a good person/friend, and it slowly kept going (and maybe this is where it started being about love). Maybe for a while he thought it was over, he's over it, Wright is none the wiser, and his life must go on even if he's still in his life, only for him to be put behind bars because of Phoenix. And then he visits him. And then he fucking double GUILTYs him. Like he can't get away from him even if he's literally locked away holy shit lmao. And later in his head he probably realizes a lot of Phoenix's life for the past 7 years was centered around Kristoph, but it wasn't jealousy or envy, it was just some crusade for justice, which probably hurts.
If you can't tell, that's where I'd disagree and propose that Phoenix was obsessed with Kristoph and not just being a hero, not necessarily as much as Kris was with him, but I imagine he'd spiral so many times behind closed doors, like I mentioned earlier questioning all their interactions. How he loved him. How something must be wrong with him since he still loves him.
I wonder if part of the justice pursuit was because Phoenix thought if he could prove to himself, and to everyone, just how horrible of a person Kristoph is, maybe he'll move on. Maybe he'll stop missing him. And maybe then he'll know for sure that nothing's wrong with him.
Oh shit hi Miles damn those glasses are I mean how are you?
(I have no idea what that last part is)
Krisnix Ideas (AJ:AA spoilers!)
Kristoph knew Phoenix when they were younger and he was the only thing to trigger emotions in him, but Nick doesn't recognize him
“If I am set to be executed, I'll be sure to have you for my last meal.” “Aw ... Wait, in which way ...?”
When Phoenix knew something was up, he intentionally avoided investigating but accidentally found something incriminating
Kristoph noticed Phoenix wracking his brain before the trial where he was to frame him, offered to help him investigate Kris, and forged that piece of evidence that Phoenix forged in Episode 4, handing over as he was telling him it finally making sense will indicate his success. They smiled.
Phoenix visits him in Dual Destinies. “I missed you.” cracks Kris' facade and makes him snort; “Really? You're that pathetic that you still find it in yourself to be attached to me?” Phoenix smiles at that. “Oh heavens, you're not into this, are you? Is that why-” “What? No! I just ... Heh, it's funny that you kept up the polite act 'til I showed human emotion and demeaning me for it was too irresistible for you.” That makes Kristoph grin, "Oh, you know me too well.” was the sarcastic response.
