During our honeymoon, we made a promise to travel more. Unfortunately, 2020 had other plans for us. Through all the obstacles thrown our way, we held strong together. Anytime one of us fell, the other was right there for support 💪🏽 We’ve endured a lot this past year, but we pulled through. That is why we decided to treat ourselves with a trip to Nashville for our anniversary. It was a fun adventure and something we both desperately needed. When I first came into professional wrestling, I was linked up with this man right away. We were part of a group called The Satsujin Squad. We invaded promotions, won championships, and had a kick-ass time doing so 🏆💪🏽 Pumped to say I have completed the Satsujin circle with Chris Barton as my next guest on a brand new Hollywood’s Corner! I remember when I first started acting, I was always playing the “good guy” or the romantic interest. While those were good and fine, I always wanted to play a villain. I just wanted to switch it up. Unfortunately, I wasn’t getting any auditions for that type of role. I finally decided to write one for myself. Happy Juneteenth! This picture is from one of my favorite projects. The series is called Freedom. It’s about a Black superhero who seeks justice against corruption and racism. The life of an actor isn’t easy. It requires you to dig down deep and believe in yourself no matter what the obstacles are. It’s the same thing as starting your own business. I’m married to a teacher. This year was probably her most challenging year to date. It certainly wasn’t easy, but yet she prevailed. I’m damn proud of her. I remember the audition for this show like it was yesterday. It was one of the first roles that I booked professionally. I went in only knowing the backstory of the character. There were no sides; it was straight up improv. I improvised a couple of different scenarios they threw at me. I remember feeling pretty good about it. Afterward, I went to the bar across the street to grab a bite to eat. It was about 30 minutes after the audition that I got the call saying I booked the part. I was overwhelmed with joy! Looking back on that, I have to say I was a little spoiled. That doesn’t normally happen. Usually, there are a few different steps before you book the job. It was a fun memory and something I will always cherish. I seriously can’t wait to get back out there again.
