AN UNCOMFORTABLE amount of time passes between his greeting and his grandfather’s next words, making Billy shift from side to side. It was difficult to know if he should have come to Magneto at all. They were family in some strange way that no one seemed to be able explain correctly. A few years ago he had still thought that Magneto was the villain, the bad guy that should be afforded. Time had changed his mind.
Glancing at a face that shared similar features, face shape and the way their ears stuck out, he knew that maybe he was just one mistake away from being considered a villain as well. It was about perspective. One man’s terrorist was another man’s freedom fighter. Billy wasn’t sure what Erik was yet.
“ Uh, sorry about that. I don’t know how to reach you. ” He pauses a moment, scratching the back of his neck. “ Do you have a phone? Next time I could call ahead? ”

Erik had not been home in months, he
had been everywhere else. Looking for
last of their people. For the people who
had tried hunting them. He may not have
followers this time around but the cause
still needed him. He had only returned
home the evening before.
Billy looks uncomfortable, maybe it’s from
being on the doorstep for so long. Maybe it
is the fact that he’s with a known former super
villain. Erik pushes the door open more so
that grandson can get a good view of what the
room looks like before he finally offers to allow
the boy in.
