Grey’s Anatomy season 12, wow! Can y’all believe it? I can’t believe it’s that time again where I bring back these lame reviews of each episode and share my thoughts and opinions on the episode! I’m going to admit that whenever Grey’s goes on hiatus (after s8, that is) I always said I wasn’t looking forward to the new episodes and then watch them only to be blown away by what an amazing episode it was! (Of course s9 wasn’t my cup of tea, but 10 and 11 weren’t too bad).
Anyway, I had missed the first maybe two lines in the intro because I had the TV on mute so I wouldn’t have to hear the commercials beforehand, but that was a mistake because I lost track of time and missed a minute or two. But whatever, not really that big of a deal, just the voice over stuff.
Let’s start out with the two teens and the train. Because wow! Callie standing up to that homophobic mom was INTENSE! I literally thought Callie was going to get in trouble or something and I mean…she WAS kind of out of line, but at the same time she couldn’t allow for that girl to get sent to a camp. And at first I kept on thinking that maybe as a child Callie had been sent to one too, but then I remembered that she didn’t even know she was bisexual until after she had a relationship with Erica which was way after she had grown up. Oh! And we can’t forget near the end when the mother is chewing Maggie out for calling CPS and telling her to stay away from her daughter and Maggie just SOCKS her right in the face; I didn’t see it coming! I literally yelled “Oh my god!” And then all the doctors ran into the room where Callie was treating Maggie’s hand and they’re all proud of her! Haha! By the way, I honestly think that was Maggie’s reflex telling her that she needs to stand up to her bullies because of the whole conversation in the OR where Callie told Alex he was a bully and the whole time I was like “so are you, Callie!” And then Maggie pointed it out that they were both bullies and I was all “yessss! Thank you!”
Amy knocking the wall down: Alright, the whole Amy and Meredith thing arguing was kind of interesting. Not to mention that they brought their problems into the OR as well haha! I mean, I don’t really know what to say about this one because in the end Maggie tells them to resolve things and they all end up knocking the wall down together. So what was the big deal to begin with? I guess it was the fact that Amy jumped in without there being a 100% confirmation? And where were the kids when this was all happening? I’m sure Zola would have came out of her room to see what all that banging was; probably just staring at Amy and the hammer thinking it was okay for her to do that too. That or Ellis would have started crying or something! I mean, why does this show make Meredith have children and then disregard them…the same with Calzona and Sofia???? I guess I understand, tho! They can’t really show the drama side of it if the children are involved because that would be boring, but ugh idk. Oh! Getting back to the topic, Owen was trying to invite Amy to that concert or whatever and she wouldn’t stop talking to let him talk and then HE KISSED HER! HE FUCKIN’ KISSED HER AGAIN AND I’M JUST AWWWW! Too bad it was ruined by Maggie just dragging Amy away and Owen was all “alright, I’m outta here.” LMAO!
Japril issues…and the awko taconess between them when April is back and idk. Not really feeling their SL right now. I’ll have more of an opinion the more into the season we get.
Arizona trying to find a roommate was interesting too haha! She began pestering Stephanie into telling her why no one was taking a tab or was interested and when Stephanie tells her it’s just WOW! Not what she expected Haha! But I loved the line when Stephanie said “You took Herman’s job…and her sight.” And wow Stephanie! Just wow! Hahahaha! And when Arizona took a tab from her own flyer because she said “it’s like a tip, you see one in the jar and other people add onto it.” (that’s paraphrased) and I guess she was right because that one intern guy, I think his name is Deluca?, ended up being interested. Do y’all think them being roommates will go well? I feel like that’ll add into the story the more it progresses. I mean, that intern can’t be friendless forever. I feel like he’ll do something that’ll anger Arizona and we’ll hear her complaining about it and what not. Haha! We’ll see!
Lastly, I want to mention the Bailey as chief thing! Because wow, ABOUT. DAMN. TIME! I remember back in season 2 (I think) when Derek, Mark, and Addison were fighting to be chief and Bailey was all about the clinic. And now she mentioned the clinic AND became chief! Just good god! How much Bailey has grown over the last 12 years! But I absolutely LOVE how supportive and loving Ben is toward Bailey! Telling her the story about how Bailey wouldn’t allow Tuck to quit the French horn because he made a commitment and now he’s the first chair. So he pushed Bailey and told her to not let “anyone steal your chair.” (paraphrasing again). And then when Ben met up with Bailey after she was offered the position he referenced The Lion King. Haha! (Side note: What happened to Owen as chief? I don’t really remember what happened. Did he resign? And what was the reason behind it?)
Anyway, what were y’all’s thoughts about this episode? I’d love to hear them.
