Fair is the wrong four letter word
And I killed my own happiness to avoid Gil Scott poems
So I’m just buildings in the water now
And nothing feels the same on the inside of a shell
Yet everything hurts everywhere and all at once // I deserve it so don’t hold back
Masochism on my back // to remind me I’m never good enough and maybe I’m the poem my father wrote after all
And tell the love of my life to find my body in the water when time collapses into a timeline where the peace is still real
