I must be some sort of deeply traumatized by past heart break experiences or trying to protect and shut myself off from people for so long bc I noticed I immediately get paranoid when my friends touch or hold my hands.

âhow was cheer practice?â satoru asked his 14 year old partner in crime as she hopped into the passenger seat of his fancy black sports car. he was on pick-up duty today while megumi had jujutsu practice with you.
tsumiki sighed and babbled on, âit was so hard today. we learned a new routine. and we did some stunts. but i got my backhand spring down!â
satoru smiled proudly. he knew that she had been working on her backhand spring with you for the past two weeks. ââand how about your grades? you know midterms is coming up.â
âi have straight aâs! in my art class, i decided to paint a picture for (y/n)âs birthday since her birthday is tomorrow and iâââ
âwaitâtsumiki say that again.â satoru wasnât sure he heard her correctly. his heart dropped at what he thought he might have heard her say.
tsumiki repeated herself, âi have straight aâsâŚ?â
ââno, after that.â
âi decided to paint a picture for (y/n)âs birthdayâŚ?â
satoru clenched his eyes shut and pinched his nose bridge. he muttered under his breath, âfuckâŚâ
tsumiki gasped at the foul language coming from her senseiâs mouth, âgojo-sensei! thatâs $5 dollars in the swear jar!â
satoru had been so busy with his new first year students, he didnât get the chance to plan anything special for your birthday this year.
in short, he simply forgot.
you were never a big âwhen itâs my birthday month, itâs all about meâ type of girl. as a matter of fact, satoru was always the one to make a big deal out of your birthday, not you.
besides physical touch, satoru gojoâs other love language was gift givingâand he always made sure to spoil you rotten every year ever since you started dating.
the first birthday you celebrated with satoru was before you even got together with him. he took you shopping in shibuya because shoko was âsent on a missionâ. you were pretty sure shoko was not on a mission and she lied so that satoru could spend some alone time with you. and now here you wereâone childish boyfriend, two adorable adopted kids, and 7 long years later. (read âlove at first fightâ here)
every birthday during those 7 years was something special. a tropical getaway to the maldives, a romantic trip to paris, a snowy cabin trip to toyako, flower deliveries that filled entire rooms, fancy dinner dates at michelin star restaurants that included shopping sprees with his black credit card.
satoru gojo always went all out when it came to you.
âtsumikiâŚâ satoru started to say, âi forgot to plan something for (y/n)âs birthday this year. help me out. what has she been wanting that i can get her quickly⌠like by tomorrow?â
tsumiki put her index finger on her chin and tried to remember if you mentioned wanting anything within the past couple weeks, âi donât think sheâs said she wanted anything lately. plus, you know (y/n), if she wants it, she buys it.â
âthatâs the hard part about buying presents for that woman.â satoru groaned. you werenât the type to depend on satoru to buy you things. if you wanted something, youâd buy it yourself with your own money. ââeven when we went shopping for her past birthdays, she already knew what she wanted to buy. so i would just give her my credit card and hold her shopping bags.â
âi think you should try cooking for her this year!â tsumiki said with a bright smile. âyouâre a good cook, gojo-sensei. a romantic dinner would be nice, donâtcha think?â
satoru gojo could do anything he put his mind to. he was practically perfect at everything⌠and you did mention before that you liked his cooking. he would just prefer someone else to do the cooking and cleaning afterwards. but if it was for you⌠he figured he could do the cooking and cleaning for once.
the white haired sorcerer huffed, âdoes that mean i have to cook for you and megumi too?â
tsumiki giggled, âno, iâll ask nanami if we can come to his apartment for dinner!â
a sinful idea popped up in satoruâs mind as he grinned, âwell⌠if thatâs the case, why donât you ask him if you and your brother can spend the night too?â
âyou just want alone time with (y/n), donât you?!â tsumiki interrogated her partner in crime, offended that her guardian didnât want her and megumi there to celebrate with them.
satoru tried defending himself, âwell, can you blame me? she is the love of my life. i canât even kiss her at home without megumi wanting to throw up.â
tsumiki just laughed in the passenger seat as she watched the traffic lights change colors, listening to the car engine purr. ever since she was little, she could see how much satoru gojo loved you. coming from a childhood with absent parents, it was a different household dynamic knowing that her guardians truly loved and cared about each other. you and satoru made sure that megumi and tsumiki grew up in a safe haven filled with love and warmth. and for that, she was grateful.
at the gojo/(l/n) apartment: oc gojo girlfriendâs pov
âso whatâs the plan for your birthday this year?â megumi asked curiously. he knew gojo-sensei always planned something extravagant for your birthday. he was surprised he didnât hear anything from the blindfolded idiot yet.
you stopped what you were doing and realized that you havenât heard a peep out of satoru about your birthday plans this year. that man couldnât keep a secret or keep a surprise from you to save his life⌠and your birthday was in less than 7 hours.
he didnât ask you to pack anything for a trip⌠he didnât mention that you needed to be âdolled upâ for a dinner date⌠and he hasnât made any inappropriate birthday sex comments⌠just what was that man up to?
âyou know, iâm actually not sure, kiddo.â
âwanna bet $20 the idiot forgot?â megumi proposed as he took a bite of his sandwich.
âno way,â you laughed, âsatoru hasnât forgotten my birthday beforeâand stop calling him an idiot. i thought i told you two to be nice to each other.â
megumi muttered under his breath, âhe called me sea urchin head today, so he deserves it.â
you and megumi heard the pinpad beeping, the doorknob turning as the front door to the apartment swung open. the two peas in a pod, satoru gojo and tsumiki fushiguro were home.
âwelcome home, you two.â you greeted your boyfriend and your adopted daughter with a warm smile.
tsumiki dropped her cheer bag on the foyer bench, kicked off her white sneakers, and gave you a hug. you ruffled her hair and kissed the top of her head.
âwhatâs for dinner?â she asked curiously.
megumi pushed a plate towards her, âsandwiches.â
satoru lifted his blindfold to admire you with his blue eyes, a flashy grin spread across his face. he pressed a kiss on your temple.
you questioned him, âwhat are you grinning about?â
âoh, nothingâŚâ he teased, âso⌠the kids are going to spend the night at nanamiâs tomorrow. i was thinking i could make you dinner, maybe get a bubble bath ready for you while i clean up, and then we could have some alone time for your birthday.â
and there it wasâsatoru gojo with the birthday plans and his sly innuendos.
megumi chewed the remainder of his sandwich with disgust as tsumiki giggled. she watched her younger brother drop his dinner plate in the sink and retreat back to his room before he threw back up his dinner.
the next morning
âyou forgot, didnât you?â megumi asked his sensei.
satoru had just finished getting ready for work, dressed in his jujutsu high uniform, his blindfold hanging loosely around his neck. he was filling two coffee mugs. one for him and one for you. he was in the middle of his morning routine. (read âmorning routineâ here)
satoru feigned ignorance with a fake smile, âi donât know what youâre talking about.â
megumi approached satoru with a small shopping bag from your favorite designer store, dropping it on the kitchen counter in front of him. âhere. itâs what (y/n) has been wanting for awhile now.â
satoru looked into the shopping bag, grabbing the box. he opened it to find it a small brown and tan leather designer passport holder.
megumi massaged the back of his neck with slight irritation. he told satoru, â(y/n) said she wanted this specific passport holder. this brand hot stamps them when you travel to specific cities. she said she wanted to travel more with you when you both werenât so busy with work.â
âyou got her this?â satoru asked megumi, ââsheâll love it.â
âno, you got her this. i ordered it online a couple days ago and used your credit cardâand if she knew you forgot her birthday, sheâd be upset.â
satoru scoffed in disbelief that you both raised such a good kid like megumi. of course he was, he was raised by you. intelligent, resourceful, a good listener, and a kind-hearted empath.
satoru ruffled megumiâs hair. âthanks kiddo. i gotta give (y/n) her morning coffee before she kills me. take it back to your room and iâll grab it later.â
megumi rolled his eyes, ââand donât forget the lilies. tsumiki called the flower shop in advance. you just have to pick them up.â (read âlilies & rosesâ here)
âgot it.â satoru turned back to shoot a grin at the younger fushiguro before he retreated to the master bedroom with the coffee mugs in his grasp. he was grateful for those two life savers.
he kicked the bedroom door shut behind him. your head was buried under your king sized pillows, long black hair disheveled and splayed all over the bed. it was a scary sight to behold in the mornings.
âgood morning, sleeping beauty. satoruâs special delivery.â
your head shot up from underneath the pillows, eyes squinting at the handsome white-haired, blue-eyed devil in front of you. satoru handed you a coffee mug as he kissed your forehead, chucking to himself at how funny you looked in the mornings.
you took a sip of your coffee, warming your grouchy, sleepy soul. âthanks babe.â
âhappy 25th birthday, sweetheart.â satoru smiled at you, brushing your messy hair out of your face.
you smiled back, shooting him that cheeky little grin that constantly made satoruâs heart skip a beat. âyouâre really gonna cook dinner for me today? and draw me a bubble bath? and show me some good lovinâ?â
âof course!â satoru laughed, âweâre gonna have a nice steak dinner, maybe iâll join you in the bubble bath, and weâll go to pound town.â
you kissed the back of your teeth in annoyance and hit his chest with the back of your hand, âsatoru. why do you have to say it like that?â
he just smirked at you before taking a sip of his overly sweetened coffee. he attempted to give you a kiss, knowing that youâd turn away from him to offer a cheek or forehead in return.
ânice try.â
âiâm always going to try. maybe iâll catch you slipping one day.â
âabsolutely not.â you said confidently, âmorning breath is my number one ick.â
nevertheless, satoru always settled for kisses all over your face before he had to go to work.
later that night
satoru was able to convince principal yaga to let him go home early today. he told the principal that he was risking a mean silent treatment, sleeping on the couch, and possibly his relationship if he wasnât able to go home by 3pmâand there was no way masamichi yaga was going to let you break up with satoru gojo. he knew no one else in this world could deal with him like you did.
while satoru was preparing for your birthday celebration back home, you went on a walk to the bakery that he loved so much with your spirit birds. you picked out a double chocolate donut for your sweet toothed lover and a glazed donut for yourself. maybe you could have the donuts for dessert tonight.
as you made your way back to the apartment, the smell of a hearty, home-cooked dinner filled the hallways outside. you entered the pinpad code to the front door and stepped foot into the apartment, recalling your spirit birds back into the shadows.
you placed the donuts on the foyer bench, sitting down to kick off your boots. catoru greeted you with soft purrs, nudging their head against your legs. satoru peeked over the kitchen counter.
âwait!â he called out to you frantically, âclose your eyes!â
you laughed and shut your eyes as you heard him scuttling over to you in the foyer. you heard him rustling with a paper bag.
âokay, you can open them now.â he whispered in your ear, giving you the shivers.
you saw rose petals all over the floor, leading you to the dining room table where two plates and utensils were neatly set up. candles lit the living room, dining room, and kitchen, giving off a soft, warm, romantic ambiance.
âsatoruâŚâ you gasped, âthis is all for me?â
âall for you, babe.â he said with a smug grin.
you turned to face him, giggling at the sight of your personal chef for the night. he was wearing a white button-up shirt with three buttons unbuttoned, a red apron that said âkiss the chefâ, and slim black pants.
âshould i do what your apron says?â you joked.
satoru grinned at you while he led you to your seat at the dining table, âi mean⌠i can think of another four-letter word that could replace the word âkissâ.â
you rolled your eyes at him, giving him a kiss to shut him up. you sat down in the dining chair and admired the bouquet of lilies wrapped with cellophane and a blue ribbon sitting in front of you. the pink center ombreing into the white, and the beautiful babyâs breath supporting them. they looked like they came from the flower shop that you and satoru frequented.
âtsumiki ordered them, didnât she?â you suspected.
satoru frowned, âhow did you know?â
ââbecause you always get roses, babe. no matter the occasion. even though the kids and i have said my favorite flowers are lilies.â you laughed.
satoru scratched the back of his head. you knew him too well.
âwell, sweetheart.â satoru started to say, âshall we have dinner?â
âsure,â you giggled, âwhat did you cook, chef gojo?â
âfilet mignon, medium rare, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes.â satoru reported, ââand a glass of moscato, even though you should be having a red wine with steak.â
all these years later, satoru picked up on the little things about you, like how you liked your steak cooked, what kind of wine you enjoyed, how you liked your coffee in the morning⌠(yet he still always bought roses instead of lilies, but what was another lesson for another day.)
you enjoyed a delicious candlelit dinner in your dining room with satoru. you both talked about your day, and how work was going. you told him about the christmas gala that the jujutsu society was planning next month, and satoru told you how he thought his new first year was going to be an amazing jujutsu sorcerer on par with him in the future. his name was kinji hakari.
âso thatâs the student whoâs been taking up all your time, gojo-sensei?â you poked fun at the white-haired sorcerer.
âheâs fun,â satoru laughed at your teasing, ââbut not as fun as you.â
you chuckled and glared back at him, âuh huh, sure, babe.â
satoru leaned back in his chair, âhow about i get that bubble bath ready for you and iâll clean up the kitchen.â
âwhat? youâre not going to try to join me?â you continued your teasing, âwho are you and what have you done with my boyfriend?â
âi just think you deserve to have a nice and relaxing bath by yourself this time.â he smiled softly at you before bending down to kiss your cheek. âsince i always seem to get water all over the bathroom floor when we take baths together.â
âthatâs because the bathtub is for one person, not two.â you giggled as you shook your head at the thought of always having to wipe the bathroom floors whenever satoru intruded into your baths.
he grabbed your hand and led you to the master bathroom. he turned the faucet on and grabbed your favorite bottle of rose scented bubble bath, squeezing a decent amount into the flowing hot water.
ââoops, i forgot something.â satoru announced as he turned around to head back into the kitchen.
you waited for him to come back. he entered the bathroom with a refilled glass of wine and a couple of gift bags.
you cocked your head to the side, âyouâre sure spoiling me today, arenât you?â
ânot nearly enough.â
he put the glass of wine down next to the bathtub, and handed you the gift bags. you opened the first one, which was the passport holder that megumi ordered.
âhow did you know i wanted this?â you gasped in delight, ââand it even has my initials hot stamped on it!â
âa little birdy told me.â
you picked up another bag, it was light as a feather. you took out the tissue paper and picked up the piece of paper that was in it.
âtwo first class airline tickets to romeâŚ? one for me and you?â you asked with a gleam in your eye. it had been awhile since you and satoru had traveled together. and youâve always wanted to go to italy.
satoru rolled his eyes and replied sarcastically, âno, for you and shoko, babe. of course, itâs for me and youâand you can get your passport holder hot stamped there too, i checked.â
you kissed him in appreciation as he handed you the last bag. you found a small blue box.
âis it a ring?â you asked, knowing it was not a ring.
satoru scoffed, âwell when you ask me like that and itâs not a ring, iâm going to feel bad.â
âdonât feel bad.â you reassured him as you caressed his cheek with your hand, ââi love anything you get me.â
you opened the box to find a van-cleef & arpels bracelet. it was made of gold and a beautiful blue agate. (click the link to see the bracelet)
you frowned at him, âbabe, this is too expensive.â
âyou are such a hypocriteââ satoru chastised you, wrapping his arms around your waist to give you a hug. you continued to look at the bracelet in the box over his shoulder. ââthe woman whoâs shopping habits rival the great satoru gojo saying something is too expensive?â
âyouâre right. iâll keep it.â you smiled brightly at him.
he let go of you to turn off the bathtub faucet. âyour bubble bath is ready, princess.â
you winked at him as he stepped away to close the bathroom door, giving you your much deserved privacy. he made his way back to the kitchen to clean up the mess he made while you got to relax in your warm bubble bath with your full glass of moscato.
*****************************
you got out of your bubble bath when the water started to lose its warmth. you rinsed yourself in the shower, toweled yourself dry and put on your robe.
you peeked your head out of the bathroom to find satoru still in the kitchen. he was putting away the dishes. it looked like he was about to finish whatever he was doing.
you smiled at the sight of a domesticated satoru gojo in your now-clean kitchen. that was the life you and satoru wished you could have, but the two of you were special-grade jujutsu sorcerers that came from well-known clans. a domestic vanilla life was not in the cards for you two.
but if this chaotic life was spent with him, you wouldnât complain. you couldnât. satoru showered you with love. he was your reason for living. he was the reason that you experienced that warm fuzzy feeling in your heart every single day. he was the reason you woke up every morning with the desire to make each day count. he was your person. your soulmate. (read âfated to love youâ here)
âyouâre staring, babe.â he called out to you with a handsome smirk, distracting your soft thoughts about how madly in love you were with him.
âoops.â you smiled mischievously.
he made his way over to you, leaning on the doorframe of your master bedroom. âready for bed?â
you looked up at him and folded your arms, âyouâre not gonna let me sleep, are you?â
ânope.â he grinned as he swooped you over his shoulder and walked over to the bed. you shrieked as he threw you onto the bed, climbing on top of you, both of your laughs filling the room.
you held his face in your hands, stroking his cheek softly. âthanks for another special birthday, baby.â
satoru leaned down to nuzzle his face between the crook of your neck and shoulder. he mumbled into your rose-scented skin, âyouâre welcome, sweetheart.â
you felt him trail warm and soft kisses onto your neck and down your chest. you closed your eyes and sighed. satoru looked back up at you with need and longing for you in his blue eyes. you giggled, holding him tightly as he untied your robe and ran his hands onto your body.
EXTRA:
you panted as you tried catching your breath. you pushed satoruâs heavy body off of you. half of his chest laid on top of yours as he wrapped his arm around your bare torso, rubbing soft circles on your belly.
âbabe.â you grabbed his attention.
âyouâre ready for round two already?â he asked with incredulously wide eyes.
ânot yet!â you giggled as your pulled the duvet over your body. you whispered in his ear, sending goosebumps down his spine. âi have a secret.â
ââand what could that secret be?â he asked as he kissed each of your fingers.
âi know you forgot about my birthday this year.â
satoruâs heart dropped. he was soooo sure that he made it seem like he remembered. he peered up at you, ââand how would you know that i forgot, birthday girl?â
you grinned before hiking your leg over his waist to climb on top of him, âa little birdy told me.â
