I love seeing grown humans setting about little creative tasks out of boredom and then looking quietly pleased with themselves, like maybe a middle-aged woman on her train home from work manages to make a tower out of empty coffee creamers and gazes at it proudly for a few seconds.

I love seeing other people make the overblown OOPS I FORGOT SOMETHING performance for no-one that most of us do when we have to turn around in the middle of the pavement.

I love seeing stony-faced people in queues unable to contain a smile when a baby looking over its mother’s shoulder in front of them locks eyes and does that astonished stare.

- when someone is standing in line and they don’t quite dance to the music playing, but you can SEE their head bop and them mouthing the words

- when someone thinks no one’s paying attention and they sing-talk themselves thru a task

- when they laugh or try to hide a laugh when looking at their phone

- when someone does the thing where they enter another space (such as a supermarket aisle) striding with total purpose, then suddenly forget what they’re doing/looking for, and stop there looking blank for a millisecond while they reboot. 

- when people are looking for scissors, in their home or in a store, and they make the scissors gesture with their non-dominant hand as an aid to remind them what they’re doing.

- when automatic social interactions glitch, like when you tell a waiter that you hope he enjoys his food too, or tell the stranger on the phone that you love them. 

- the hand gesture people make when they’re thinking at their computer, not typing, and their elbow rests on the table, and they feel the edge of their fingernail with their thumb. This is such a lovely little gesture and to my knowledge I have never seen it in fiction. You’d think it would come up all the time in fic.

- when you’re sharing an experience with a complete stranger (like watching a seagull throw up in public, or waiting for a late train) and you make eye contact, and some comment to each other, and then you guys are, like, ALLIES now. Like you would willingly ride to war to save them. You can’t make eye contact again, but you are very aware of them. 

- just evidence of other people’s rich, baffling and complex inner lives.

Sometimes my mental health isn't great and I don't just forget to take care of myself, I fail to work with deities regularly and then I get overwhelmed and push it away, even though I know I want to do better at it. I have worked on and off with Anubis for about 4 years and I have just began to look into Lucifer. Anubis is fine to work with according to my family where Lucifer isn't. So I've wrote a list of things to do to help me focus and not feel so overwhelmed with things:

Anubis

Pick a day a week to start off. Make sure every day that I pick a way to work with him and make it regular. Anubis is way to important to our soul to not bother. If I cared enough I would, fight through the mental illness.

Buy Anubis a notebook, for tarot, divination, offerings, dreams or letters, just anything that happens with him will go in it with a date.

Make sure to give offerings a certain day as well in the morning. Make sure to keep his alter tidy and clean.

Do art, dedicate things to him that I think he would like.

Learn to use that pointy thing that I can't remember the name of and use it to ask him questions.

Buy tarot cards that are dedicated just for him.

Make sure to keep crystals on his alter charged. Learn how to do so.

Buy books about him, learn as much as you can. Build a strong relationship with him. He's your spiritual father, respect him, love him, he's important.

Don't share things without asking him. Respect his thoughts.

Ask to work with him for death spells, my soul is connected to Tutankhamun, why?

Reach out, it's gonna be scary but it's important

Do past life regression with him, learn how to do that.

Lucifer

Buy books and hide them, everything we learn about him will have to be in secret.

That means I can't have a physical alter for him. I can't buy that statue that I wanted for him. He can't have a space in my room.

Learn protection spells for both deities

Don't trap him in a circle or anything, be polite he's powerful and we want to have a good relationship with him.

Ask him to help with the trauma you hold. Work with him hopefully to become a strong person in this life.

Learn his chant

Learn how to meditate properly with him

I have his sigil and that's all I'll need and myself.

Learn how to build a spiritual alter, or place you can travel to

Make sure to pick a day to work with him

Don't feel pressured, be sure and confident

Don't speak to anyone about it

Buy tarot cards for him, hide them

Learn Latin?

Research, learn as much as possible.

Draw for him

Get a notebook for everything you learn or work with him with, hide it or buy one that won't be suspicious

Find out what kind of ways he likes to be communicated with

Other

Learn about the goetia demons, probably not gonna work with them but I wanna learn more of where Lucifer comes from properly

Make own tarot cards for both ( will be longer process and we can have other cards that we have brought but these would be more special)

Religious Rites - Holidays of Demonolatry

There are many days of celebration, worship and reflection in Demonolatry, so I will only be covering the principal ones. The next rite is the Second Rite to Lucifer, observed on November 13th.

(Disclaimer: Lucifer does not refer to “The Devil,” who is a concept from Christian mythology based heavily on Pan and Belial, among other deities, but over time assigned Lucifer’s title through transliteration. Lucifer is a Goetic demon/deity associated with light, life and air.)

This day is a continuation of the Rite to Lucifer on March 21st, which is a celebration of spring and new awakenings giving thanks to Lucifer, the bringer of light and Lord of air, as the spring equinox relights and rebirths the world.

As the spring rite marks new beginnings and the air that sustains life, it follows that the second rite marks the time for old things to die. 

As the bringer of light, Lucifer’s candle should be white, with golden details if possible, and the material offerings suggested by his devotees include fine wine or champagne, honey, your own writing or artwork (especially if it is created in his image or his honour), and feathers.

However, Lucifer is often honoured at this time with devotional offerings that allow you to lay the past to rest. Invoke him in your shadow work, ask him to release you from toxic relationships or leave behind what you know is not good for you in his honour. 

Should you want to meditate or pray directly to Lucifer, you may use the enn (chant) shown above - renich tasa uberaca biasa icar Lucifer - or the following prayer: 

It is our Lord Lucifer who hath brought us from darkness into the light, and as we enter the darkest part of the year we trust that he will once again do so. He brightens our path so that we may find enlightenment. We honour him now in darkness as we do in light, knowing that his winds blow upon us carrying with them the promise of lessons learned for this lifetime. Hail Lucifer, Lord of Air.

It is a great time for rituals or spells connected with healing, ending toxic or unwanted connections, introspection and leaving behind unwelcome people and situations.
