basics.
name: meadow sage voss
age: twenty-two
occupation: art history student at columbia university
sexual orientation: closeted bisexual
birthplace: manhattan, new york city
background.
Meadow grew up in new canaan, connecticut and new york city. his parents met during her father’s gap year and married without his family’s permission.
the vosses are a family originally from germany, her grandfather Leonard Voss moved to the US and created a real state company that in the years to come would become one of the most lucrative in the country
her father, Dominic, went through a rebellious phase, he wanted nothing more but dissociate from his family and took a gap year after college where he met Meadow’s mom in a party. her mother came from a middle-class family. they fell in love and married just six months after meeting, Meadow was born nine months later in vasto, italy (where her parents lived)
when she was less than a year old her grandfather passed away and her father had no choice but to return to the US and take the reins of the company. becoming a businessman changed her father, turned him into a version of her grandfather.
her mother never liked the upscale life of the upper east side and filed for divorce. she wanted to take Meadow with her but her father didn’t allow it and used all his legal influences to keep her away. throughout her life, her father always said that her mother had abandoned them and so, Meadow grew up resentful towards her.
Dominic readied his sole daughter by schooling her in the best institutions of the country. he stage-managed his daughter’s life, from her outfits to her bedroom furnishings. Meadow became the compliant daughter he longed.
weeks before her eighteenth birthday she found a box full of letters from her mother, letters she never received thanks to her father. that's how she found out the truth and what drove her to stop her father's dominance over her.

she decided to keep the baby. for a while, she thought about going back home but instead, she decided to look after her mother. unfortunately, when she found her Meadow realized that her mother had redone her life and now was happily married and with two kids. that's how she knew that she and her baby had no place in her new life.
ashamed and without a plan c, she returned to new york. upon hearing the news that her daughter was pregnant her father was furious and gave her an ultimatum, either she had the baby and left or gave the baby up for adoption. knowing that she could never give her baby a stable life she opted for the latter.
her baby girl was born on a rainy afternoon of june and just before she could even hold her, she was taken.
slowly, her father returned to her dominant and strict ways. he enrolled Meadow into a good university where she is currently in her senior year majoring in art history.
personality.
Meadow can be mistrustful but overall she's a super sweet girl. she doesn't share many details about her family and only her father knows about the baby she gave birth to (although they never speak about it).
she wishes she could be a lot more reckless. she knows that if she wasn't so afraid of her father she would allow herself to live a little.
she firmly believes that she has no one and depends on her father which is why she can't stand up for herself.
Meadow is an extremely artistic person, but she would never dare to show her art as she is very insecure about it.
