actually i am gonna give you guys a genuine answer to that. not the anon because they obviously don't actually care, but the rest of the new followers i seem to have picked up off that youth lib post.
why do i give a shit about social media restrictions? well, i went to the library three months ago with my two teenage brothers to sign them up for new library cards (they just moved) and i was told that under 18s can't have a library card, even a restricted kids-books-only card, without a parent there in person to give consent.
that's fucked for abused kids for sure but that's also fucked for kids whose single mum works two jobs and can't get to the library while its open. and there is NO good reason for it except to appease parents who want to control what their kids can read.
people coming onto my posts telling me 'kids should just do X' have not actually looked into the possibility of doing what they are suggesting. kids now cannot do what you did when you were a teenager even a decade ago. abused kids, disabled kids or kids from low income families ESPECIALLY cannot do those things. they are running out of places to go.
interviews and studies with teenagers repeatedly prove that they WANT to hang out with their friends in real life, and it is getting harder and harder to do it. the internet is one of the only places they can all spend time together, unsupervised, without spending money or getting hassled or moved on by adults.
social media bans won't fix that. they won't even keep kids off social media. they're just going to make life harder for everyone, increase the amount of tracking and monitoring EVERYONE is subject to, and force kids to lie about what they're doing to any adults that actually DO give a shit about them.

On July 20, Jacob Petrosky stood in front of the Casa Grande, Arizona City Council during a public comment session and made an announcement.
âIâve spent the last several months talking to people all over Casa Grande, and one thing keeps coming up: Safety. So, today Iâm excited to announce a new company called Shepherd Safety,â he said. âOur mission is simple. Keep government officials and their families safe.â It would be no different than how the city monitors its citizens using Flock cameras, he said; he planned to launch satellites that would use AI to monitor âwhere government officials go, where they stop, who they meet with, and when they return home.â
He said heâd already started compiling profiles on their vehicles, spouses vehicles, childrenâs vehicles, and planned to combine that data with Bluetooth signals, advertising IDs, and commercial data sources, âso our authorized users can replay the movements of every government official and their immediate family,â he said. Local businesses would be invited to join the network, to âprotectâ officials while they shop, eat at restaurants, and move around the city.
After laying out his plan and its benefits for the government officials before him, Petrosky revealed that it was all satire. âI would never do this to you,â he said to the council members. âCould I? Probably. But I wouldnât because itâs wrong. Just like what you guys are doing to us is wrong.â

My Theory on the 4/4 at the End of the Latest Video

Wanted to post my own theory here, all of the theories Iâve been seeing on reddit and tumblr are all wonderful, and i want to see how the tumblr side of the fandom thinks of this
Slide one: My theory on what the 4/4 means at the end of Wifiesâ latest video (hope I dont sound too insane) (ps: go watch âFinding a Player who Doesnât Existâ and âWhat Happened to Xtremegamer11?â either before or after reading this! I promise this ties in)
Slide 2: There are 4 experiments in the Department of Metaphysical Sciences (DMS) as shown in the Finding A Player who Doesnât Exist video
Slide 3: Before the latest video, there were three ARGs related to the DMS. Project Eternal, Alex being kidnapped and forced to mine bedrock for six years, The King in Yellow and Derekâs goodbye note being confiscated by the DMS, and MCcompanion and how the DMS is testing on it.
Slide 4: My theory is that the most recent video is the final one in the DMS saga, and thatâs what the 4/4 at the end means. The Leviathan is the final experiment, and the largest one at that. All of the others have been restricted to a small group of people. Alex and his server, Derek and Avery. MCcompanion is the largest scaled one we had so far, having killed several children and also caused a power outage to an entire city. However the Leviathan phenomenon is even larger scaled (albeit less harmful), affecting hundreds of people all over Reddit, Twitter, and the Minecraft forums. Hundreds of people saw the Leviathan, but were never able to verify their experience because their recordings cut out and the screenshots showed nothing. (Also, this is the first time Wifies is front and center in an ARG. Heâs interfered a bit in Alexâs episode, however itâs mostly been him just watching. Here, heâs actively interacting with the world and the entity as well as other players.)
Slide 5: My conclusion. I think Wifies may make a few more videos wrapping up the DMS saga (if this theory is true). All the pieces are now in place, all four experiments have been revealed. To be frank, I have no clue whatâs coming next and at the end of the day this is just a theory, but I wanted to share what I thought. Hope this made some semblance of sense, and congrats for reading through all my ramblings
(Also just thought of this but this might add more to the theory of Hummer being the Leviathan. We know the DMS caught the MCcompanion, so whoâs to say they caught the Leviathan as well, and it either took the form of a human to beg for help (cause we know the DMS is NOT ethical, I mean look at Alex), or they made it take the form of a human to make it wreak more havoc onto the populace and then it began to beg for help.)
(Iâve also heard more theories about this being a collab with other youtubers, regarding the Vex email, and I do think those theories do stand and are very probable, but because I havenât watched those yet, I decided to craft this theory using purely the other Wifies ARGs)
