This is the first time I've drawn Crucible! (Versus, like, the umpteenth time I've drawn Citadel lmao.)

From top to bottom:
Whiskey (she/her, 30? y/o) is the guild's founder and Runemaster! Not too long ago, she woke up on the bank of a river one night with a narrowly-fatal knife wound in her gut and no memory of who she was. Despite her amnesia, she figured that A) getting shivved and tossed in a river likely means she was mixed up with a pretty bad crowd, and B) if she was lucky enough to live, she better turn her life around FAST so it doesn't happen again. So, stealing clothes from a nearby campsite, she got the hell out of dodge and joined the adventurer migration to Tharsis, learning magic on the fly and hoping to leave whatever is behind her... well, behind. As far as her guildmates are aware, she just doesn't like talking about herself. Her name comes from a misunderstanding with the first person she met after getting out of the river.
Yana (she/her, 28 y/o) is a Sniper and Tharsis born-and-raised. She's been trying to make it big as an adventurer for a while. She was in Etria for years prior, working as a Survivalist, but she was much better with the bow than with any of the... surviving off the wild stuff.
Eli (he/him, 45 y/o) is a Medic with a bitter on-again-off-again relationship with adventuring. He hates being viewed as expendable support rather than a valued guild member, but he hates being cooped up in a clinic in town even more. He hit it off with Whiskey the first day she came to town and earned her trust. With Whiskey keeping a low profile, he's often the face of the guild.
Maybelle (she/her, 20 y/o) is a chipper young Landsknecht from the countryside who is just DYING to make an honest living. She's naive, but she's more than willing to trek boldly into the unknown and put herself in harm's way for her squishier guildmates.
Munroe (any, 22 y/o) is a Fortress from High Lagaard. She initially trained to be a Highlander; though they ended up with a more defensive expertise, Munroe is still perfectly at home losing some blood on the battlefield if it betters their position.
I've just finished the Misty Ravine, so I'm still pretty new to these guys! I'm super excited for what more EOIV will bring - especially in terms of how I may be able to weave Citadel into their story...
Now having finished EOIII (and started EOIV!) I wanted to draw a tribute to what the members of the Citadel guild get up to immediately after their adventure in Armoroad. (Was initially gonna polish + color these, but those exams can hit 🥹 But I love using fineliners nonetheless!)
Lore of each illu is below the cut :)
Gisèle's - Citadel's Ninja's - character arc centres around letting go of 15+ years of bitterness wrt her best friend rejecting her, marrying a truly unremarkable man, then dying and leaving behind a child (that of course looks just like her father). Through building her relationship with Alice - Citadel's Zodiac, whom Gisèle takes primary care of and adores - over the course of crawling the labyrinth, she begins to realise what she missed out on with Jenny - her best friend's daughter, and Citadel's foremost Farmer - when she left everything behind after her mother's death. So, post-EOIII, Gisèle goes back to Jenny's family's farm for the first time in years to make up for lost time. (Gisèle is the woman on the swing seat; Jenny is holding the sheep; Jenny's father is holding the drink tray; while Jo and Micah, Citadel's two other farmers, are on the left and right respectively.)
Pretty much immediately after (SUCCESSFULLY) fighting the Deep Princess, Larisa - Citadel's Hoplite - and Connie - Monk/Sovereign - pursue a relationship. <3 Larisa is super mellow and Connie is both worldly and excitable, so after their business in Armoroad is over Connie takes Larisa to Batavia for the Winter: gladly giving her the tour of the place she grew up. (Larisa is in the left (in a coat Connie made for her!!); Connie is on the right.)
Tilly - Citadel's Buccaneer and guild leader - opts to take her ship on a victory lap of the North and South seas; and hopefully, even, beyond. With the Abyssal God dead and gone, she invites Daisy - their Yggdroid liaison to the Deep City - to join her on her voyage and see the world outside the labyrinth. Meanwhile, with Gisèle spending time working on herself, Alice leaves her side and tags along on the ship to make the crew a trio. Gisèle gives Alice her scarf as an insurance: a promise they will see one another soon. (Tilly is on the left; Alice is in the middle; and Daisy is on the right.)
A comic about the first time I fought the Deep Princess blind. The party got utterly TPK'd, but in the final rounds my Monk/Soverign's -- Connie's -- Indomitable limit triggered twice successively, letting her get a few extra hits in. I wanted to portray how futile yet awesome that last stand felt.
Connie heals with her hands so her reaching for Larisa on pages 1+2 is her instinct to heal her kicking in… as she begins to realise the Deep Princess has done so much damage, or perhaps that Connie is just so tired, that there is nothing she can do to get Larisa - or any other of her guildmates - back up.
… look I know that sounds devastating but I really just made this comic for the whiplash of pages 8 to 11 being hype and aura. Connie beating the Deep Princess to death with hammers (except not to death and not with hammers) is a canon event.
