From the aroubd 1770, these black dot paste earrings are in a style that is quite coveted by collectors, and often referred to as 'Queen Anne earrings' (although they were made in the last third of the 18th century while Queen Anne died in 1814). They are not easy to come by as an intact pair, but you often see one remaining 'earring' of this model which has been converted into a brooch when its other half has been lost lost. This pair is uncommonly large and very elegant, with a wonderful sparkle. And they still have their original back-to-front fittings. A paste collectors dream.
