When the JKR scandal went out, and with everything that followed, I felt a bit as if the magic was destroyed. As if I wasn't allowed to enjoy the stories I've been enjoying since my teens.

I was angry... and sad... And honestly, kind of betrayed!

At their core, the books are about fighting intolerance, bigotry, prejudice, and fighting the established absurd and stupid class system that was the root cause for it...

And in the last few months, all we were hearing was about how all those themes were hypocritical... And some pinpointed every instances in the books where that could transpire...

I didn't know where to stand in all this...

But then it hit me.

I am a HUFFLEPUFF.

I am part of a house of EQUALITY, TOLERANCE and ACCEPTANCE.

"Says Hufflepuff : "I'll teach the LOT, and TREAT THEM JUST THE SAME.""

Hufflepuff House accepts EVERYONE...

I repeat : EVERYONE!

This is where one of the many strenghts of Hufflepuff House lies.

Either, JKR created her own contradiction of thoughts, or this is a part of the books that was sadly glossed over by most people...

I'm not saying the books are perfect... They have their flaws, just like any other human creation.

But I have found my own place of serenity in them.

I am proud to say that I am a part of humanity that will be welcoming of every single member of our species, NO MATTER HOW you identify yourself as.

I'm not perfect or better than others, but I am more than happy to improve myself in becoming as great an ally as I wish to become... And more!

if any house were to have a secret society, it would one 100 percent be hufflepuffs. i mean they’re pretty much overlooked so nobody would pay much attention to them. they work behind the scenes and probably save hogwarts on a daily basis but nobody knows. like how cool is that. hufflepuffs are like the robin hoods and the batmans of hogwarts and nobody can convince me otherwise

Hufflepuff Sorting Ceremony Headcanon:

While every other house welcomes a new student with making them sit a their table with a few pats on their backs (and the usual house table cheer), the Hufflepuff table is different.

The prefects (including the Head Boy/Girl if they are Hufflepuff) all stand in front of the table, forming a guard of honor. When a new student is sorted into Hufflepuff, not only do they cheer up, but also the prefects, one by one, take the time to hug the new first year. And when (s)he sits down, the whole house shouts a wholeheartedly "WELCOME HOME"!

It slightly annoys the other houses, which the Hufflepuffs enjoy!!

About this quote... Am I the only one to believe Lily Evans was the first to add two and two together about Remus being a werewolf? Like on the second or (at the "very most") third full moon of their first year?

Being the pure gem of a human being that she was, she must have went looking for him at first light that morning and found him, eyes wet, near the lake. She would have given him the biggest hug of the century (enough to squeeze every tear of self-depreciation out of Remus's body), began to wait for him every full moon morning right next to the whomping willow, with a set of clean clothes (just in case) and a huge mug of hot chocolate, and helped him come up with good cover stories for his absences...

...She would also swear to beat James, Sirius and Peter unconcious with her bare hands if they ever rejected Remus when they'll inevitably find out!
