Westchester Medical Center is one of a few advanced care medical centers, optimally located in the metropolitan New York City and Lower Hudson Valley region to house a hybrid operating room. For us, advanced care is not a goal it’s a responsibility. We are proud to be the first in Westchester County and the Lower Hudson valley to offer Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), a minimally invasive method of replacing the aortic valve in patients suffering aortic stenosis. This procedure will take place in our new Hybrid OR. Our Transcatheter Heart Program team will employ this less invasive procedure to implant a new type of aortic valve in select patients.
