Rhydon, if you ever met another General who harbors gay feelings for their liege but they appear to be already taken by a lovely wife who also deserves them, what advice would you give them?
"First, I'd be impressed that it actually happened to someone else besides me. Second, I'd tell them to move on."
"What?! Why?"
"Nidoking, it took your wife dying and you going through a horrid spell of depression for my feelings to be made clear to you. If anyone else is going through that exact scenario, I think they would be happier if they found someone else, rather than hoping that their liege loses their partner and becomes terribly vulnerable."
"Ok, that is a fair point. But, you also tried that, did you not? You can't tell me that you gave up on other potential love interests just for me...did you?"
"...Not strictly because I was in love with you, but...I did put my duty to you foremost. Though, on the other hand, I didn't quite pair off well with the others that I tried to move on with...and I am much happier with you."
