Last night, I fell asleep around midnight...after hours of attempting to. So that I could wake up at 5:30am to drive to my Prometric testing center :(
I was tired. I was nervous. But I was ready to conquer this MCAT. Honestly, I’m not sure how it went. Some parts I thought were okay. Some maybe not okay.
For those curious how MCAT testing works:
You arrive by 7:30am, or earlier if you center calls you if you have more people testing. When you arrive, you’ll go through a pre-check in. You put your things in your locker with only your ID with you and you go to the line, where they’ll confirm your identity, get some fingerprints, and a picture of you.
Then you’ll wait again until one by one they set you up with your computer. Then you start.
It was honestly the longest, exhausting process I’ve done. I took about 5 practice exams where I stimulated it at home, but it was nothing like the nerves you had the day off. I utilized every break. I really needed some food/energy by the time of lunch. I definitely needed those chocolates I brought. And I was thrilled when I completely done. Some sections were definitely hard, and some an adequate representation of my practice. There’s always gonna be that one detail you missed on the exam, so I’m happy with the effort I put in.
Now to wait the month before scores come out...and some rest tonight:)
