âyou know i only love you, babe. câmon donât be like this,â daniela pleaded from behind your front door. her voice shaky with distress, as if it wasnât for her own actions that led her to end up crying by your doorstep, begging for just another chance.
one would think sheâd run out of chances a long time ago, but you just couldnât let go.
taking your time dragging out this relationship, as if it was the last cigarette in the box. smoke enveloping your vision, and filling your lungs. you couldnât breathe with her around, but couldnât live without her either.
each time daniela ended up at a party making out with some mediocre man. each time she came home reeking of alcohol, screaming from the rooftops about how spineless you were, and how she should find someone better - more confident, someone who didnât need their hand held through everything.
every time, like clockwork, she always came back, and you always forgave her. through every insult and all the hurt daniela has caused you, much like yourself, she could never stop the cycle.
in some cruel, perverted way she liked how no matter what she did you were too loyal to leave, too afraid to step back into the world that wasnât kind to you in a way that was loveless and cold. whereas danielaâs outbursts were full of passion. she actually cared for and loved you. or loved how you served her ego. either way, the outcome wouldnât change.
the door creaked in contention as you pushed it open, making daniela finally stand up and face you. all the crying had left its marks on her. from the dancerâs luscious curls messily cascading down her shoulders, rouge strands sticking to her forehead, to the redness in her eyes. you hated to admit it, but she looked so beautiful like this. you couldn't have said no to her if you tried.
âthank you, thank you, thank you, baby,â daniela wrapped her arms around your unimposing frame. she knew she had already won by that point.
you had only pulled away enough to close the door behind her, leaving the two of you in the privacy of the apartment once again.
alone with all the emotional baggage. alone with all the lies. having closed the exit from your trap with your own two hands.
turning back to look at your girlfriend, the change in her demeanor was visible. from an emotional crying mess, her expression turned sly and calculated. before you could think further, she had already found herself back to latching onto you.
âi love you. i love you so much. say it back,â she commanded.
âi love you too, dani.â
as soon as the words had left your mouth, the latina was quick to plant a kiss on it, only further tightening her hold onto you. soon enough, her lips were traveling down your neck and collarbone, drawing out muffled moans from the back of your throat, while daniela did her best to brand it.
âlet me show you just how much i love you, yeah? since youâve been so good to me, cariño.â
and there was no angel on your shoulder telling you to turn back, to stop this madness. only a fire coming from underneath your skin begging for more.
