Homosexual kids.
Suppose, I have a child and he is homosexual and at a time he asked at the age of fourteen or fifteen why he is being bullied at school and why only he is bullied. What should I tell?
Should I tell that he is not considered as normal by society? Should I tell that by what all of the human beings think he is considered as “different”? I cannot tell him that what all humans are used to anything else is abnormal. I cannot take him on my lap and tell him that it will be fine, because it won’t. If he asks why the kids in his class want to let him cry then I must tell him that these kids are normal and that he is unique and that he should ignore the comments, but that is impossible. No one, even I, can’t expect of a vulnerable kid that insults go past him, but I cannot explain to him where the insults came from. At a time, he will sit on my lap crying with the statement that the kids had scolded him and that he was a “fagot”, whom he did not even knew what it meant. At that time you need to explain to your kid that humans do not like unique kids, because they are gentle and loving, like him, something the kids will not have gotten from their own parents.
But do you know what the worst part is? You lie to your child. You cannot tell him that being different in the world is unacceptable, that the nature of your child decides whether others say he should live or he should commit suicide. You cannot tell him that being homosexual is a sin, that, according to society, he is the target and that all the things happen to him, because he is “different”. I cannot tell him that he may not be who he wants to be, he cannot do what he wants to do, he cannot love who he wants to love.
I honestly thought about this for a long time. But now I know that this is one of the toughest job of being a parent; protecting your child against society. You know what the hardest part of this is? It is not possible.
DAMN PROUD OF THE COUNTRY I LVE IN!
