Eldarya episodes 13-30
Hey, @naytili, I was looking at my drafts the other day, and found this post that I told you months ago that I’d do when you said you couldn’t fully understand A New Era without having played Origins completely. I’m so sorry it took so long, I completely forgot to finish it ;--; you may even not need it anymore, but I couldn’t leave it there almost done, so I finished it today, and... it’s a book, literally, I’m kind of sorry I went into so much detail, but I wrote everything from episode 13 (I know you played it, but it’s important, so I wrote it too) until episode 30. Have a nice 2-hour reading, this has been my longest post ever, hahahah.
Heads up, until I say Leif is a LI, everytime I talk about the LI I mean Nevra, Ezarel and Valkyon only.
Episode 13: The Guard tricks Gardienne into drinking a potion to make her loved ones forget her. They told her a story about evil humans who were on their way to the HQ to "rescue" her by destroying everything and everyone, and the way to avoid it would be drinking a potion to make her "scent" disappear (we never really got a confirmation about this story being 100% made up or not). To make the Lethe water work, she needed to make and drink the potion willingly, so with this story, they convinced her to make the potion herself. She found this situation pretty weird a lot of times, she was really wary of everything they were asking her to do, like thinking about her family, and in the end, she got a letter from "Ashkore" telling her what The Guard was actually planning to do. She confronted the guy who was helping her with the potion until they admitted they lied and explained to her what the potion would do. They ask her to drink it for the sake of the HQ, and while she's debating herself between agreeing to do it or not, the boy kisses her to force her to drink the potion.
After this, Gardienne is truly devastated, Miiko and the boy try going to talk to her, but she refuses, she stood for days locked on her bedroom, realizing that there was no place for her to go, and no one who could fix this. The only thing she could do was trying to find her place on the Guard, and trust on the people who weren't involved on the potion fiasco, so she walks out to get missions pretending nothing happened, but she was breaking down very easily with her friends who didn't know what happened (Chrome, Karenn, Ykhar, Kero, even Cryllis ;-;). Leiftan talks to her, she says that she feeld like a prisoner, and he tries to convice her that she should choose to stay in the HQ. Kero gets a teacher for her to finally learn a bit of history (the creation of Eldarya), there she meets Ykhar who sucks at history, taking the class too. She learned that humans and faerys were having problems to live together, and the faerys needed to leave The Earth or a lot of people would die. To do that, the Dragons had to sacrifice themselves on The Blue Sacrifice. This ritual was decided between three important races: Dragons, Daemons and Fenghuangs. Among them, Dragons and Daemons were the ones who needed to make the sacrifice, but the Daemons terrified at the thought of extinction, and betrayed their pact. Only Dragons sacrificed themselves, that's why Eldarya is so unsteady and can't work by itself. After this, Daemons were hunted by eldaryans, and they all died anyway. Back to the potion thing, Gardi gets to either talk to the guy who kissed her if he's her boss, he apologizes, but she doesn't want to talk about it, or she talks to one of the others who try to convince her to forgive him. She has a secret meeting with the masked man, there she learns that he's the one who sent her the letter about the potion (Ashkore), she asked him why did he try to help, and he said he hates the Guard's lies, Gardi figures out that Ashkore is an ex member of the Guard, and he ends up offering her help to get her back to Earth, and leaves without giving her any more details. After this there's a weird incident about a certain book that shouldn't be opened, and it did, and a "monster" ate everything on the library, which is important because there was information that nobody knew about Eldarya. Other than that, the Guard blames Gardienne for this incident because she saw the book (???) and after she put her life at risk to caught the monster, Ashkore sends a letter laughing at The Guard which takes the blame away from Gardi at last, and they had to apologize. Yes, The Guard being The Guard. In all this I forgot to mention Cameria. She's a hamadryad like Yvoni, but her tree is like a bonsai, and she takes it with her on her back all the time. She's on the Obsidian guard, and she trains Gardienne several times after saving her on this episode when they decided to use her as a bait to catch the monster. She's great and powerful, most of Gardienne's knowledge about close combat using her smallness as an advantage comes from Cameria.
[Cameria]
Now, episode 15: After all of this, someone gets seriously injured and since we don't know who it was Gardienne is concerned about her LI, after learning that it was Enthraa, they look for whatever hurt her so bad. It was a crazy mermaid, that turned out to be Alajea's sister (long story short: her entire family died murdered by a kraken, that's why she's so scared of water like Gardienne, but turns out her little sister Colaia survived)
[Colaia]
Of course Alajea wants her sister back, but the Guard wants to make sure she's not infected first. By hearing behind doors, Karenn hears that they decided to kill Colaia, and seeing Karenn and Alajea cry for it, Gardienne gets 100% done with the Guard for destroying another family, and decides to help Karenn and Alajea to take Colaia away from the HQ. Basically, they drugged the entire HQ by putting sleeping pills (or something like that) on the food Karuto was making for dinner, and they go free Colaia (Valkyon didn't eat that day, he would've caught them, but Ashkore was there to steal some things and knocked him out with a frying pan. Epic scene, lol, also Gardi could ask him to take her with him, but he says she's useful where she is). This all was a misunderstanding in the end, they weren't going to kill Colaia because she wasn't infected, just traumatized, but this all worked to make Gardienne snap about what the Miiko and the boys did to her, she yelled and cried about it in front of everyone, she exposed them, and it made a lot of people take her side. After this Kero left the Light guard, Ykhar decided to stay to make sure nothing like that would ever happen to anyone again, and Ewelein did the same. The boy has the chance to talk to Gardienne and promises to try to make up for it as much as he can, they truly regret what they did, but it can't be undone.
[Not-crazy and drinking-the-leg-potion Colaia]
Episode 16 was my favorite, but it's not really important plotwise, so I'll speed up here: Remember Balenvia and the mushrooms? Gardi wants to fix that situation, and since the Guard couldn't find a way to solve it before, Miiko tells her that she can try to make a plan and if it was worthy, they'd follow it (this was kind of an apology from Miiko). The problem was the toxic air, and using human knowledge, Gardi solves it all with masks, they find A LOT of Crystal shreds on the caves (that's why they couldn't control their powers) and they save the mushrooms, yey. Also, there’s a side drama here about Ewelein having a heartbreak because she and Ezarel used to be friends with benefits, but she fell in love, and he didn’t, so their thing ended there. This was great on Ezarel’s route because Ewe proved to be an amazing woman and friend, while encouraging Gardienne to date him anyway.
[Gardienne taking the Crystal shreds with the Oracle’s help on the caves]
Now, episode 17 was the most important one: everything is perfect now, they are having fun half the episode, Gardienne is flirting with one of the 3 boys, Leiftan is trying to flirt with her, she can choose if she has a date with the LI of Leiftan. And the date gets interrupted by an attack to the HQ. It was a woman called Naytili (I guess you know her?)
[Naytili]
She's trying to corrupt the Crystal in the name of the Daemons, and she's too powerful, so they have to make a weird ritual to find in her head a way to destroy her. While they're practicing this ritual, Gardienne goes into Miiko's mind and see difficult moments of her life, such as being rejected by her family for having only 4 tails, the moment when her mentor died and she had to become the leader of the HQ without being ready for such a task, and the moment when Valkyon's brother, Lance, died and she couldn't tell him that she loved him. After this, they went to fight Naytili, and the Oracle appeared again (she appeared on the caves on episode 16 too) to help Gardienne win, and take Naytili to jail. They succeed, Naytili had 3 pets possessed by Daemons, and the ritual worked to find the way to release them, the Crystal goes back to normal, they find another shred of the Crystal, and they put it back on it. This is key for the rest of the game because that piece was corrupted and everything gets BAD from here on. We get to see a scene where Ashkore and Chrome are talking to Naytili in jail, and then Leiftan comes in asking how did she corrupt the Crystal, she refuses to talk to him, and Leiftan shows his true form as a Daemon to get her to talk since she’s a Daemon fan. Yes, Leiftan is a traitor working with Ashkore, and so is Chrome. They team up with Naytili to get information, get her free from jail, Leif kills a random girl who almost sees them, and pretends Naytili did it and escaped by defeating him.
[Daemon Leiftan]
Episode 18 wasn't really important other than romantically. Gardienne met a girl who was looking for her husband, but turns out this girl was dead and possessed Gardi to try to die again and find his soulmate who she learned was also dead, therefore the LI had to let himself be possessed by this girl's husband to reunite them before Gardienne was forced to be sacrificed. The couple kisses using Gardienne and the LI's bodies, and then they rest in peace at last, but the feelings of the girl and her husband stood in Gardi and the LI as feelings for each other, and as time went by, they had to try to tell if those feelings were truly the other couple's or if they were in love with each other in the end.
[The girl, Yêu]
[The husband, Tinh]
On episode 19 there are some earthquakes, and the HQ's shield stop working, so they are trapped inside. Basically this is a sign of the Crystal not doing fine. Gardienne starts feeling really bad, the Oracle appears and tries to warn Gardienne about what Leiftan was doing, but she was speaking on a language that Gardienne couldn't understand. She passed out and got a vision of the Daemon trying to submit the Oracle, but she didn't recognize Leiftan. After this, Gardienne goes to the beach (where the kiss on episode 18 happened) and thinks about her feelings, you can decide if those are her true feelings or the dead girl's, if you pick the second one it means that you're in love with Leiftan (here is when he becomes a route officially, so now “LI” includes him). They have a mission to help the fenghuangs after an attack they suffered, so they traveled to their temple (Huang Hua was offering Gardienne to go live there with her after all that happened with the potion), on the way there, Leiftan was acting weird, and ended up telling her that he learned about her kiss with the other boy, and he's really jealous, so he asks if he's ever going to have a chance with her, but she can say no or don't reply if she's in love with him. When they arrived Gardienne felt awful again and passed out, she has another vision where the Oracle tells her that by poisoning her, the Daemon is killing Gardienne too, but again, she couldn't understand the language, and woke up in panic, the guy she loves is right next to her when she wakes up, and things get horny when he tries to help her calm down.
[This is what I mean when I say Gardienne can’t understand other things than names. We only know what the Oracle says because somehow we know this is French but with the letters switched]
They get interrupted by the next episode, or simply the boy decides to stop everything, in Ezarel's and Nevra's cases things get awkward, in Valkyon's case not so much, in Leiftan's case they are basically already dating. Gardienne goes to Huang Hua to tell her about her nightmare/vision. She's really overwhelmed, so while the Light guard and Huang Hua were discussing about it, Feng Zifu takes her out to show her the temple and calm her down. She helps a lot of people on the way, and it makes Zifu like her as she behaves like a fenghuang. Gardi hears a conversation between Huang Hua and Ewelein where they said that whatever is killing the Crystal is killing Gardienne too. They all help fix the temple, and the night before going back to the HQ they throw a party lol, there Leiftan and Valkyon (on their routes) confess to Gardienne and start dating (well, Valk, with Leif they are just making out and Leif says he wants to take things slow), while Nevra and Ezarel tell her that their story should end right there. Happy or crying, Gardienne ends up sleeping alone, and wakes up when Naytili attacks again, this time next to Ashkore. This fight is epic, Feng Zifu treats Gardienne as if she was his daughter asking her to be careful and all. Naytili tried to kill Gardi and nobody could stop her from stabbing Gardi on the back, but Leiftan unlike everybody else managed to get to her and break her neck, saving Gardienne with it. She needed a blood transfusion that she got from Leiftan, she woke up and figured that a lot of people died on the attack, people she didn't know, but she could've been one of them, and suddenly she feels like death is following her, Feng Zifu comforts her and tells her to leave the funerals if that will make her feel better. She leaves, and the LI comes after her, Leif and Valk try to comfort her, Nev and Ez talk about how her near-death scared them and made them realize they wanted to be with her. And they finally bang. After this scene there is one about Leiftan later that night, he goes to meet Ashkore, they have an argument about Leiftan killing Naytili, Ashkore claims that Leiftan did it only because of Gardienne, that he's way too interested on her, and that if it starts interfering with their plans he'll kill Gardi himself. Lefitan throws his fists at Ashkore and defeats him easily (it was the first time they got to this point of disagreement, but Ash was talking about the person Leif loves the most), Leiftan threats him that if he ever gets near Gardienne he'll kill him (Ashkore, here we learned he is Lance, Valkyon's not so dead brother) and the rest of his race. Hm... I noticed I skipped the numerous times to this point that Leiftan has referred to himself as Aengel, and has corrected other allies when they call him a Daemon, he always says he's and Aengel.
[Lance ♥]
_
PAUSE 1 TO SUMMARIZE LEIFTAN'S SPIN OFF Ok, so this takes place during the blood transfusion, he's talking to Gardienne (while she’s unconscious) about his feelings, basically. He felt her arrival to Eldarya, and fell completely in love with her on the first moment he saw her on the Crystal room. Ever since, he has been trying to help her, the first Crystal shred she got from Mery and the second one that Ashkore gave to her was him trying to make the Guard accept her, he knew she was going through a rough time, so he tried to be there for her as much as he could, while at the same time he was suffering for seeing her get closer and closer to the other 3 LI, he saw her hugging them back on episode 10, and he was so jealous about it that he actually thought that he wanted them to die, lmao. He's 100% sure she's the love of his life, that they are soulmates and meant to be together, but he also says that he doesn't want her to suffer, so he just wants her to be happy with her boyfriend if she's on another route, because he won't force her to love him. About his backstory, as a kid his parents were murdered because of their race, and a couple of adorable faerys adopted him afterwards, but they got murdered too by evil humans, probably that's why he has a soft spot for children and can't handle seeing them suffer. About his team, Chrome's parents died by humans too, so he wanted revenge and seek for Leiftan to side with him, while Ashkore has a lot in common with Leif, and they get along pretty well. Chrome and Ash on the other hand are always fighting because Ash won't stop bullying the little puppy hahahhah. And that's all. Leif was behind everything on chapters 1-12 from the moment they let her out of prison to the necklace when Huang Hua visited, that's all the time he approached, so we don't know if he was involved on the potion fiasco, neither if he had something to do with Ashkore's letter, or anything else. We do know that Leiftan is trying to keep the Oracle away from Gardienne, and that he used some Aengel magic for it, which is why Gardienne can’t understand her.

Back to the main story. Episode 21 starts very easy, the couple is happy banging everywhere, they are not hiding their relationship, but they are not showing it too much, they go back to the HQ, as they get nearer to the Crystal Gardi feel worse and worse, weird things happened and Gardi fixed the Crystal. New mission, a lot of faerys has disappeard on Kapa land (idr the name, Jade?) and there are a few nomads there that could be related or not, so they needed to be investigated. Long story short, they're innocents, so the HQ shelters them. There's a short mission of an intoxicated person either at the Kappas or in Balenvian caves, if you help in one place, the leader of the other place dies, so when Gardi learned about the death of Master Kappa/Ethel she feels guilty for not going to help the other. They suddenly get the information that Elliot (the little turtle), Milo (the little mushroom) and Mery disappeared with some other nomads kids, they find Elliot who now knows how to talk, and he tells them that the bad woman who kidnapped him a long time ago has now kidnapped Mery, Milo, and the other kids. They used Elliot to get to the woman on an island, and they found Milo. They freed him, but him and all the place were full of blood, turns out this woman killed Mery's companion (the one we got for him), and when she appears with Mery and the Guard confronted her, she killed Mery in front of them. This woman, Mary Anne, was an old friend of Ezarel, she was a human, and he tried to get her back to Earth but apparently it didn't work, and now she's a monster. Ezarel is shocked and she escapes, so they take the kids back to the HQ, and Mery's mother (Twylda) who always had a rough time psychologically during the entire game since her husband died, now breaks completely.
[Mary Anne]
Ezarel feels really guilty about all of this, so he acts like an idiot, treats Gardienne awfully (he breaks up with her on his route) and leaves to find Mary Anne on his own. Twylda tries to commit suicide, and Gardi stops her luckily, o they try to stay next to her through all this, and Mery's funeral, but the Guard realizes they have never taken proper care about psychological health, so they need to fix that asap. This moment had a certain relevance to Gardienne since this was the first time she found a positive side to the potion subject. Watching this mother be completely destroyed, she was glad for once that she didn’t make her parents go through all this pain because of her disappearance after so many months. It doesn’t take away the guilt from Valkyon, though, he feels awful at the slightest mention of her parents, Nevra was kind of ok with the situation, probably because he is too focused on keeping his word about being there for her, and Ezarel (after this episode, of course, this is kind of a spoiler lol) decided to look for a way to reverse the effects of the potion, he was at least until episode 28 saying that he only wanted to leave the Guard with her and find a way to give her parents their memories back.
[Twylda, Mery’s mother]
After this, they go after Ezarel back to that island, Gardi has an awful time walking next to the place where Mery died, so at one point she and Valkyon take care of the place where they'll camp, and without her knowing Leiftan and Nevra clean the place up, so she doesn't have to look at the blood anymore. During the night Gardi hears something, she goes to see what it is, and finds Ezarel. He explains that he acted like that before because he felt like this was only his responsibility for not noticing it was her from the start and such. Mary Anne attacks, and Gardienne here protects Ezarel with powers, some white light covered Ezarel, and after the other guys come to help, and the evil witch runs away, Leiftan comes to talk about those powers. They come to the conclusion that the blood transfusion probably woke up some faery part of her, because these aren’t his powers. He was a faery, but these powers aren't Lorialet powers (that was Leiftan's fake race, remember? Child of the moon). Long story short again, they managed to caught Mary Anne, Gardi used those powers a lot, and at one point she loses control and almost killed the b*tch (Gardi is all about saving lives, this would've been terrible for her). They take the murderer to jail, and turns out, she is a monster not because she’s corrupted by the Crystal, but she went crazy because she injected herself faerys' blood, she needs to be detoxed, therefore they decide to not kill her despite how bad Ezarel (and I) wanted it, and the fact that Twylda almost kill her herself when she saw her. Finally, Huang Hua leaves the HQ, after a lot of time, Gardienne officially says that she won't move to the fanghuangs temple because of her boyfriend, and they say goodbye (we see her like 1 episode later lol). During this episode we caught Ykhar having a conversation with someone, there she says that if she doesn't do what somebody is asking her to do, someone is going to get hurt. Yes, Ykhar is a traitor now too.
Miiko asks to have a secret meeting, there she says that she only trusts the Oracle and Gardi, and she suspects about everybody else, because she's sure there are traitors on the Guard (don't you say), and since Gardi has been working with the Oracle, she's safe. Basically, here she asked her to not trust her boyfriend, which was great for Leiftan's route, but a joke on the other routes, lol. Gardi agrees to spy for Miiko if instead she stops hiding information from her, so basically, Gardienne starts being part of the Light guard unofficially. The Oracle shows up again, Gardi tries to get near it, but she is incapable of doing it and realizes that the Daemon is forbidding her from it (remember they lost a lot of things in the library? The game here suggests that Leiftan is using some spell from there to not let her get near the Oracle and using one to hide his true form, but in both cases the Guard doesn't know the way to break it). Gardi manages to barely touch the Oracle and has a new vision. She's back at Memoria (the island where Mery died), and sees the Daemon and a Dragon fight, the Oracle asks her to find the Dragons, Gardi only gets the "Dragon" part, but it was enough. Leif treats her as if she only was delusional, but Miiko says that the Crystal was illuminated at the same time, so it all really happened, and they have to go back there to find answers about Gardienne's identity. Leiftan has another meeting with Lance, there he mentions that maybe Gardienne is a Dragon, and Lance laughs at the idea, he says she definitely isn't because Dragons can sense each other, and if there was any other Dragon apart from him and Valkyon, he'd notice. Leiftan just believes him because he is the last of his kind, and can't prove otherwise. They talk a little about Ykhar, and whoever they kidnapped, and mentioned that Enthraa is taking care of them (another traitor hahahahha). Well, once they arrived in Memoria, they can't find anything, Gardi couldn't use her powers like the last time she was on the island, Valkyon is feeling really really bad, Ewelein wants to go back to the HQ, and this ends up on an argument between Gardi and Ewe. During the night Gardi has another vision, she's on the island and runs into an "entity" whose energy felt a lot like the Oracle's, but wasn't the same, she said it felt like they complement each other, Gardi follows it, she wants to ask if she is a Dragon or the incarnation of the Oracle, and the entity (it's obviously a Dragon lol) says she's neither of those. When it was about to tell her what race she was, a black silhouette appears (Leif) asking her what is she doing on the cliff, that it's too dangerous, Gardienne recognizes his voice but doesn't realize it's Leiftan's, she falls from the cliff, and then she disappears for 3 days and appears on the cliff again, thirsty, tired and hungry, she can't remember what happened.
[The entity]
[Daemon!Leiftan silhouette]
Ewe tells her that Leiftan saw her falling from the cliff, and they thought she was dead. This was the first time Gardienne thought maybe Leif was the Daemon, but didn't do anything about it. Ewe says once again that they must go back to the HQ, Gardienne refuses because the only thing she remembers is that she must finish "her last test" whatever that meant, and she wants to know everything she can from this island because she needs to find some sense to all she's been through, being on a world where she doesn't belong, loosing her family, friends, her entire life. They agree to stay a little longer, and when the boyfriend comes to talk to her to the cliff (she just knew he was going to convince her to go back to the HQ) the Dragon appears again, this time her boyfriend can see it too, and this Dragon tells her to finish the test.
Leif makes a ritual to help her remember what happened on the past 3 days. Basically, the Dragon (Fafnir) wanted to see if she was worth being the Oracle's chosen one, and put her soul to test. There were 3 tests, all of them emotionally difficult for her. First task, going through Yvoni's death, so she can apologize for not saving her back in episode 10. Test 2 was getting a hint from Naytili that Leiftan might be the Daemon. Then she had to go for the 3rd test which was meeting Master Kappa and Ethel, according to your choices one of them must be dead, so Fafnir asks her if she'd like to switch them, bring back to life the one who died and let die the one who survived. When she's unable to make a choice she runs away and that's when she woke up on the cliff, now she needs to finish that test. In the end she says nobody deserved to die and that she'd give her life for the one who died. With that, Fafnir let her come into a room where only Dragons can come in, and her too as she's the Oracle's chosen one.
[HD Fafnir]
Valkyon appears inside too, so Gardi finds out he's a Dragon and looking at his desperation, Valk knew but was trying to hide it. Fafnir tells her that she's an Aengel (when an Aengel corrupts people calls them Daemon, but they're still Aengels, that's why it was an offensive word for Leif when he was called a Daemon, besides the entire race is so hated that they call them all Daemons anyway), and relies on Gardi and Valk to catch the Daemon without telling them who it is. When they come out, they lie, Gardi says she was alone in there and got no information. Later she talks to Valkyon. As they are both from the most powerful extincted races, Gardi understands how painful it most've been for Valkyon to hide it for so long, and how terrified he is now for sharing this secret with her, but she doesn't get exactly what is he scared of, Dragons are gods in Eldarya, unlike Aengels. Valk says that he's scared of people thinking he's the reason why Eldarya is so unsteady. They both promise to keep each other's secret, and Gardienne tells him about Miiko's suspects and tries to convince him to tell the truth to Miiko, so they can work on all the Daemon situation together. They go back to the HQ, Leiftan knows that Gardienne is hiding something because she agreed to go back, but she refused to tell them what happened. Leif comments this to Lance, and he says that they need to get rid of her because she's becoming dangerous, but Leif refused, and that makes Lance snap. He got tired of all their plans going to trash because of her, so he breaks their alliance, throws a potion on Leif to immobilize him, and decides to go on with the plans by himself, planning to destroy the Crystal and kill Gardienne with the rest of the faerys (he said they don't deserve to live and hates them for letting his race sacrifice for them). He goes to the Crystal, and the Oracle shows up in front of Gardi and Miiko to get help, they go to the Crystal (Ykhar's pet was found dead on the way there :c) and fight Lance to stop him, but the things they used to stop him were all Dragon things, so of course it didn't work on him, and he ended up breaking the Crystal anyway.
[Ykhar’s pet, Mall. RIP ;-;]

PAUSE 2 TO SUMMARIZE VALKYON'S SPIN OFF Alright, so this takes place on last episode, where Valkyon was sent to Balenvia on a mission out of nowhere. At the time he was being very distant with Gardienne on his route, and this is why. Since Lance's death Valkyon has thought Lance could still be alive somewhere, so he has been paying a purreko called "S" to gather all information he could find. And well, he found something. He heard Lance's name in Memoria along with a mention of the Guard, from Cryllis on Balenvia, so Valkyon decides to go there himself to try to talk with him. He makes up a mission and Miiko discovers him, so he had to explain her, and she decides to go with him because she needs to know too, she admits she still loves Lance. So, she makes the situation for him to go talk to Cryllis, but right when they got to the interesting conversation, Chrome comes to ask Valkyon for help on the caves. Turns out, Chrome knows that Cryllis saw Lance on the caves, and Chrome is trying to avoid Valkyon from learning about it. He warned Lance about it, and he told him to kill Cryllis, but Chrome doesn't want to, so Lance says he'll do it instead. Valkyon goes back to where he left Cryllis, but he's not there anymore, and doesn't come back, which Valkyon found strange. Miiko told him to try looking for him on the caves, and they found him lying on the ground with a dagger stabbed on his back. It was Lance's dagger, Valkyon recognized it because he was the one to gift it to Lance. It had poison on it, so Cryllis is really really on a bad shape, but he manages to say "the masked man is... Lance" and Valkyon thinks, he starts putting pieces together and understands that the "..." meant that the masked man is "who murdered" Lance (I'll never get over it, lmao) so Valkyon decides to kill him. He finds him, they fight, Ashkore passes out, Valk remembers a conversation with Gardi where she said that he shouldn't kill who killed his brother, and decides to take off his mask instead, but he took too long for it and Ash wakes up. In the end Valk passes out too, and is broken af, lmao, so they go back to the HQ, he tries to hide his adventure from Gardienne if she's his girlfriend, and then there is a time skip to the moment when Gardienne learns the truth about Valkyon.
-
Back to the main story. The next episode starts with Gardienne on an empty HQ, she's cold and tired, and slowly she realizes that she's going to die, she can't keep her energies, so she goes back to bed to feel his boyfriend's scent as she dies, and Mery shows up. They were in purgatory, and someone sent Mery to her so he could help her go back to life (some people thought it was Leiftan, because Mery said it was a black entity, but it can’t be, we saw his pov, and it wouldn’t match, so probably it was just death itself or something). He has a mirror that lets him watch the living world, he shows her the Crystal room and her body at the nursing room (the boyfriend is right next to her suffering on his own way because she’s dying) and he mentions that he has seen his mother's suffering. That’s why he hasn't moved on yet. Gardienne tries to comfort him and promises they'll take care of Twylda (Karuto took her into the kitchen with him, it was really cute to see him concerned about others) and make sure that she'll be happy again, but it’ll take some time, and he needs to let go. So he does, and Gardi needs to find a way out of purgatory by herself. She also sees Ykhar's pet move on, and when she's on her way to her bedroom, the Daemon appears again. He says he wants to help her, but she doesn't trust him. In the end, she lets him do his thing, and she wakes up fresh and full of energy on the nursing room. Turns out what happened it's that Leiftan gave her half of his life to bring her back, he used a weird Aengel spell book, and now he's really weak.
[The moment when Leiftan gave her half of his life. This illus is GORGEOUS]
At this point they know a few things: Ashkore is injured, so he can't be far, and they have the HQ surrounded, so they know he's still in there somewhere. They need to find him to get him to jail. Leiftan wants them to find him, and he knows exactly where Lance is, but can't find a way to lead them there without looking suspicious himself. In the end Lance tries to escape through the beach, and they caught him. They remove his mask while he is unconscious, and truth time: Miiko and Valkyon learned that he never died. Miiko puts a lot of spells on him to keep him from going anywhere, Valk is shocked, the Light guard has a meeting without Gardi because she didn't even know Lance, and it was an important moment for them. Even if they weren't all that close to him, Lance was a lot like Gardienne, so it's still shocking to find out he was the villain. Valkyon is trying to play it cool, but he’s having a really hard time, so his closest friends try to make him feel better, and he ended up crying, and then Valk and Gardi went to interrogate Lance, but he doesn't stop joking on Gardienne, so it doesn't really work, and Valk asks Gardi to leave, only to be asked later to go interrogate Lance herself because he said he would only give answers to her, he’s a troll, lmao. Well, she agrees and Lance offers her a game, they'd be exchanging questions to each other. At some point she asked why does he want to destroy the Crystal, he said because he wants to free the Dragons in it, she said that was not true because the Dragons were in Memoria, and asked who he's allies were. Here is when Lance takes a knife of his armor and kidnaps Gardienne. There was Valkyon in the room too, but he couldn't do anything, and nobody else on the HQ because Lance could kill her if they tried. He takes her into a boat (the one Gardienne and Chrome lost some time ago) and Enthraa helps him kidnap her. The boyfriend tries to save her, but he got attacked by some creatures that were working for Lance.
[I’ll be running out of new characters to introduce you to pretty soon, and too much text is awful, so I’ll laeve some illus from this point. The kidnap]
Episode 26 is really important, and it’ll be long to explain because there is too much information and basically all Lance’s development in here too, I stan him, so it’s extra difficult to keep it objective, I’ll try to skip details despite my heart: ok, it starts at the boat, Lance is laughing at the boyfriend ""dying"" and ties Gardi to a mast (I must mention that he strangled her when she tried to beat him for killing her boyfriend, before he tied her to the mast, and he does the same several times during the episode if you take the wrong choices, at one point he even left her hanging from a cliff like that, which was awful since we all know drowning it’s a big trauma for Gardi). They are going to Memoria, he doesn't know where it is, but he's counting on Gardi to guide him there, but she refuses. He takes care of her, of course, he needs her alive for now, but it doesn't keep him from trolling her, for example he made a new kraken ally, and sent it to play with her by lifting her up and leaving her hanging, lol. Well, this kraken knows where Memoria is, so problem solved for Lance. Gardienne was trying to find a way to let the Guard know where they were heading, and during the night she had another "vision" (not really, but idk how to say it, she went in ghost form to the HQ) and tried to make Huang Hua notice her presence. She asks Miiko for help, and they make a ritual to summon the Oracle (they thought it was the Oracle’s energy instead of Gardi’s), during this thing, the Oracle appears and managed for once to speak on the same language as Gardienne, and it told Gardienne that there was no way she could help now. Miiko and Huang Hua could now see them, but they heard Gardi and the Oracle on that weird language, so Gardienne just said "Memoria" hoping they'd get the idea. After this the Oracle says that the rest it's on Gardienne's hands and dies. Gardi wakes up crying, but refuses to let Lance know what happened. The next night she could try to have a conversation with Lance, to try to understand him, but he doesn't believe her good will and doesn't talk, she falls asleep on the deck and when she wakes up she had a blanket on. They arrive in Memoria, and Lance settles the camp where Mery died. Gardienne can tell him why she's uncomfortable staying there, and he apologizes since he didn't know about that, but he won't move anywhere else, or she can yell at him lol. He shows a little sadness at one point when they talk about Valkyon, and shares some thoughts about the world to which Gardienne related, they kind of understood each other this chapter, and if you have a high enough lom, they have a "moment" where she bumps into him, he speaks softly at her, she gets lost into his deep blue eyes and then get interrupted by Fafnir (her guilty thoughts about letting herself go like that while she’s kidnapped, and he killed her boyfriend about one day ago are priceless, hahahah). Now skipping all the times that kind of things happened I'll jump only to facts: he was annoyed at Fafnir because he didn't have access to the Dragon's room. He needed answers about the blue sacrifice, so Gardienne helped him open the doors. Fafnir gave them a tour, she tried to make Fafnir help her escape since she was kidnapped, of course, but he refused to do anything against Lance because he was family, and he was just lost. We learned that each Dragon has an element (Valkyon: fire like his dad, Lance: ice like his mom). There is a thing, like a sphere, that keeps the memories from the Dragons, so they went in, and Lance managed to see his parents for the first time in his life (although he couldn't interact with them). They saw the day the Blue Sacrifice was decided.
[The sphere, I don’t remember the exact name]
Tia (Lance and Valk’s mother) was really confident about humans, she defended them a lot and since options were fighting them to solve it (in other words killing them), or leave Earth, she agreed that leaving was better, but she didn't want the sacrifice, so she looked for a 3rd option until the end. As for the others, there was a fenghuang leader (Huang Yuè Qiú) who gathered them all to explain this idea, and decide if the Blue Sacrifice would take place and what it meant for both Dragons and Aengels. Fafnir as the Dragons' leader understood that it was important, and they would be saving several lives, so he said that every Dragon who wanted to sacrifice would do it, he wasn't going to force anybody. On the other hand, there were two Aengels there too, siblings, one of them, Dagon (he was one of the Daemons that Naytilli used to possess her pets), wanted to fight humans, while his sister Lilith (apparently the actual Aengel's leader) decided that they would all sacrifice. This is what caused the big chaos, because half of the Aengels wanted to do the sacrifice and the rest didn't, but since they had to sacrifice, Dagon and his followers decided to kill those who agreed to sacrifice, this is how their genocide started, by their own hands, and that's when they all became Daemons for the other faerys, and everyone started hating them (Gardienne asked for Dagon and Fafnir said "he was killed, or at least I think so", this could be important someday).
[Tia, the boys’ mother]
[Huang Yuè Qiú]
[Lilith]
[Dagon]
After all this, Lance is a bit overwhelmed, and Gardienne feels bad for him, so she goes to check on him, and he ends up opening up, and admits that he wishes her mother sacrificed him and Valkyon with him too instead of leaving them alone, that he would've preferred to die. After this, they talk a little about his childhood: they were born on a volcano, they were already alone, he was born first, saw Valkyon's birth, and then they were raised on a small town with lovely people (he said that if all faerys were like them, he wouldn't have destroyed the Crystal), and finally he says that part of the source of his anger is the fact that he and Valkyon had to hide their identities because the Guard and all the faerys were killing the few survivors left, despite everything their race did for them, just in case it'd fix Eldarya (Gardienne is shocked, but thinks Miiko wouldn't do that now --- later Miiko says herself that she 100% would've lol). The memories continue, and we learned that Tia was pregnant and didn't know what to do with her babies, she didn't want to sacrifice them because they didn't decided to sacrifice, and she wanted them to have a long life, but on the other hand, she was scared of not sacrificing them. Finally, she and her husband left the eggs on an island and came back to the sacrifice. There we learned that Tia's brother fell in love with a human, and they had a child, so Valk and Lance have a cousin on Earth, probably, and Fafnir mentioned that there are a few more, this excited Lance a little. Fafnir also spoke too much and said that Gardienne is partly Aengel, this enraged Lance, because he finally understood why Leif is such an idiot for Gardienne, and on his anger he almost exposed Leiftan, so their pact (yes, they did a magic pact to make sure they would’n betray the other) did its thing and Lance passed out on an apparent heart attack. There Gardienne can either get help for him or run away, either way Lance assumes you tried to escape and threats to attack. This is interrupted by a flashback of the LI. Basically the LI got attacked and had hallucinations, they are worried and depressed and want to go save her, the only important thing to know here is that on Leiftan's route Ykhar comes to his bedroom, tells him that they need to talk, and then there's a sign saying that hey had a heated conversation. Well, the Guard finally goes for Gardienne, Lance smells Valkyon, and takes Gardienne to the cliff. There Valkyon asks him to stop and come with him, Lance says it's impossible for him to go back to the HQ and not end up dead, so Valkyon asks to go with him instead if he lets go of Gardi. Lance agrees, makes a barrier to make sure they wouldn't kill him as soon as he lets her go, he says he'll take it down once him and Valk are far enough. They leave, and moments later the barrier disappears, but Lance's voice sounds laughing at them, and the cliff collapses, Gardienne falls from it (again) and depending on your choices your LI tries to save you and falls with you if he's not Valkyon. Gardienne ends up trapped under the sea, and the episode ends with her drowning.
[Valkyon leaving with Lance]
Fafnir saves her later, though. They have a conversation about him not helping Gardienne while she was kidnapped, and he says Lance is his great-grandson, so he really didn't want to believe he was beyond saving. However, this conversation turns really bad, and Fafnir threats that if anyone from the Guard tries anything against Lance on his territory, he will intervene. They take some of Lance's allies as prisoners, and kill others before going back to the HQ, stealing the boat Lance had stolen, lol (on this journey Gardienne notes that the days are going too fast, too many days went by during that trip she already knew). Once they're back, they have a meeting where she tells them all that happened (everyone but Ykhar, she took some days off after her pet's death), they are shocked about the truth behind the Blue Sacrifice, Miiko remembers that Lance changed a lot when he became Obsidian guard's chief, and he used to spend his nights on the library, so he probably read everything there, even things the Guard didn't know, and won't know because it's destroyed. They don't go after Valk because they have no clue of where did they go. The next day people are happy to see Gardi back, Chrome apologizes for the kidnap and almost outed himself as a traitor for it, lol. Ewe makes sure that she's not hurt, and tries to get some details from the kidnap, but Gardienne doesn't get what is Ewelein asking her, and leaves. While she's alone in her room she has a break down, she really feels a lot of bad things have happened and keep happening, as if death were following her, she feels lonely, and she wants to feel better, so she cuts her hair (awfully, Purriry had to fix it later). Some people got this as an alert (Miiko and Karuto) and worry about her. Karuto had a big moment here that I loved. He saw her alone on the canteen, not eating, kinda sad, and with a new haircut, so he came to her to ask if she was ok, he tries to cheer her up a little, and then he straight up asked her if Lance raped her, because no one else dared. She says no, and that she didn't even think it could've happened, but it totally could if the kidnapper was anybody else, but luckily it wasn't the case. This moment gets interrupted by a scream, Gardi goes to see, and finds Miiko crying and screaming outside Ykhar's room. Turns out Ykhar wasn't on vacations, she was murdered inside her room and the killer sent a fake letter to Miiko, so they wouldn't miss her. This was a devastating moment for Alajea (Karenn took care of her), Kero (some blond girl took care of him), and Miiko (Gardi took care of her). The next day Gardienne goes for a walk on the beach to think, and bingo, finds another victim, Chrome is bleeding out on the beach, but he's still alive. She takes him to Ewe, and then she can only wait. During this time she runs into Karenn, who now can admit she's in love with Chrome (it was obvious at this point). He ends up in a coma.
[Illu of when Gardienne found Chorme bleeding out]
After this they have a mission on the balenvian caves again, the problem they had once is back and even worse, this ends up with their leader dead (or a random old mushroom if he was already dead), then they go to the fenghuang's temple and everyone is really really sick, they are about to die, and need to find a vaccine for it (covid vibes, lol), but Feng Zifu almost dies anyway (forgot to mention that on this chapter Huang Hua talked to Twylda about Mery, and said that she could talk to Feng Zifu since he lost a child too), and the days are going even faster. Basically, Eldarya is 100% out of control, the apocalypse is totally on its way. Gardienne has again some doubts about Leif, and next morning they get a message that they know where Valkyon is.
I must mention it somewhere: remember Cryllis got stabbed on Valk’s spin off? Well, the fenghuangs took care of him, but on episode 26 Lance says Cryllis died. Most likely, Lance didn’t know he got help, but he was on a really bad shape, and well, now the fenghuangs are dying on episode 28, and we never knew about Cryllis again. I complained for months, but to this date, after NE episode 3, I still don’t know if he’s dead or not.
Alright, episode 28. They need to finish helping the fenghuangs, so back to Fengu Zifu, he's dying, the vaccine didn't heal him, he needs a blood transfusion from Gardi (well, any universal donor or his own type of blood, but they were running out of time, and they knew Gardi's would work) and to do that, she needed to get baptized, basically lol, I mean, more like she needed to get their god's approval, so after a ceremony (Pangu's ritual) she went to save Zif (I'm still wary of all this). When they get back to the HQ, Miiko makes the official announcements: day/night are screwed up because the Crystal is almost gone, Ashkore turned out to be alive!Lance, him and Valkyon are the last Dragons, they have no clue about what Lance wants, and the last time they saw him was with Valkyon on the kappa land. People starting doubting about Valkyon's loyalty (people at this point is wild, they are constantly bashing the Guard, calling them incompetents, getting mad about their decisions, and everything they hide), Miiko only says he left with Lance to save Gardienne, and that's kind of what happened, but these episodes are written painfully wrong, so apparently Valk was supposed to leave with Lance just because he wanted to, and Gardi was just a side effect (or at least that’s how it was supposed to look like). If you're on Valkyon's route she's mad all the time because Valk left, and everyone really thinks he left because he's joining Lance. Well, they go after Valk hoping they’re wrong, on the way there, they get attacked by krakens that work for Lance. The Guard was clearly going to lose, and Gardi get her little power up, and depending on your choices she can use her Aengel powers or her Daemon powers, thanks to this they defeat the krakens. She got embarrassed about all this afterwards, but magically nobody saw her flying with freaking wings and all, not even Leif who caught her when she fell from the air, so her secret is still safe.
[Aengel powers making a barrier to protect everyone]
[Daemon powers to kill the krakens]
When they got to the kappas' there was an illusion keeping them to see the place for real, but they smelt and felt things as they walked through it, until they realized there were a lot of deaths, including Master kappa if he was still alive in your game. Turns out, under the illusion all the kappas were dead. The Guard actually feared Valkyon had something to do with it since he didn't stop the massacre, but right after, they found Lance and Valkyon fighting each other. Gardi intervened to save Valkyon with her powers, Lance was MAD because it took less than a second for Valk to just go back to the Guard's side instead of his brother’s, lol, but well, they needed to get Lance to prison, so Leif said a cringy line about how in the name of the Guard Lance will pay all his crimes. The irony made Lance laugh (and most of the fandom too, lmao), and they all fought Lance. Gardi with her powers trapped him, but he was still fighting, so Valk asked him to stop, Lance called him a traitor, and Leif said something like "You may want to listen to your brother, if you fight him you know you'd loose" but that was too much information for their pact, and Leif had a mini heart attack and passed out right there. Gardienne had Lance flashbacks and realized that the same thing happened to him on episode 26, so if Leif was passing out now, it could only mean that he was the one with whom Lance made the pact, and FINALLY she realizes that he was the deamon all along. Now, during all this, Gardienne murmured some things, and Lance understood that she figured it out while the others were asking her what the problem was. Lance obviously wanted her to tell the truth, so he made jokes to encourage her to say it. You decide if you expose Leif or not, Lance escapes either way. If you expose him, they tie him up, and take him to the boat. When he wakes up, he understands immediately what's going on, and he doesn't try to fight them at all, he just collaborates until they put him in prison (people were SHOCKED when they saw Leif walking to the HQ as a prisoner, I remember even Kero said something like "I hope whatever he did was nothing too serious"). If you don't expose him, the situation is really really awkward between them, Leif kind of notices she's acting weird about him, if he's your LI at one point he comes to ask her if he did something wrong, if he's not, Nevra and Ezarel get jealous because of the tense vibe between them. When they get back to the HQ, Gardi goes to talk to him, he tries to keep his lie, but it doesn't work, they have an intense scene where Leif says that she's not ready to understand him yet, and she takes him to prison afterwards anyway (this is different if he's you LI, they have the big discussion, and when things are getting to intense she suddenly kisses him, and they bang, after it, she breaks up with him, and gives him some time to escape before she goes to tell Miiko the truth, but he doesn't try to escape, next time they see each other is with him already in jail). In there, Miiko slaps him for betraying her and everyone, and also for killing Ykhar. There he explained that he did it because she was going to expose him, and he didn't have a choice, he also says that Miiko would've done the same if she was on his shoes. I love him so much hahahahahaha. Gardi thought he was being too docile, and asked him why hasn't he escaped since he's so powerful, and Leif said that it was because he gave her half of his life when she died, and now he was too weak. He said the spell he used was from "their" people, so here is where Nevra and Ezarel learned that they were dating an Aengel and actually both got a little offended because she didn't tell them the truth (as for when did Leiftan learn about it, it's the biggest mystery for me, maybe when she used her powers on the boat, maybe he always knew), the LI asked him why did he give her half of his life, and Leiftan straight up said that he was madly in love with her since the moment he set eyes on her, and that they are meant to be together, to which Gardi loudly disagrees u-u Alright, they tried to interrogate him, but the pact wouldn't let him, so they decided to find a way to break it. (Pause to say that Chrome woke up from his coma, and confessed that Leiftan tried to kill him because he was going to expose him after what he did to Ykhar. The Guard talks and decide that he's a kid manipulated by Leiftan, so they forgive him. After that, he confessed the same to Karenn, and she forgave him too, and they started dating right there). They go back to Memoria to ask Fafnir, but first they have to attend Ykhar's funeral, they buried her next to Mery on the burrow, Miiko and Valkyon prepared everything (yes, he came back from kappa land with his heart broken because he couldn't change Lance's mind in weeks, because he escaped again, to find out one of his closest friends passed away ;--;), there they all talk about trust and honesty, and there you can decide to make public that Gardi is an Aengel, since they are all on a supportive mood. If you are on Valk's route you can talk to him after the funeral, because he left alone to the beach, and there he breaks down, and when Gardi sees him crying finally forgives him :c In Memoria, Fafnir pretends there’s no way to break the pact, Nevra goes one step ahead and tells him a few truths, such as the fact that he’s lying, that he knows how to break it, but he’s just trying to cover up Lance, and the fact that he only cares about Lance and doesn’t care about the entire world dying because of him. Fafnir gets angry af and suffocates Nevra to almost kill him, then he kicks them out of his territory. To save Nevra they had to give him human blood (Gardienne’s) which was... intense. You’ll see, drinking blood is really really intimate for him, and even if he already had bitten Gardi on his route, he’s really shy about it, lmao, she’s always the one to insist for him to do it, and if you’re not on his route it was awkward because it really had a sex undertone for Gardi, and it was in front of her boyfriend. However, Valk and Gardi go alone to try again to get Fafnir to talk, Fafnir shows Valkyon the same things he showed Lance before (about their parents and all), and again we get to see it. Afterwards, Valk says that he wants to go back there to learn more about his family once they save Eldarya.
[Valkyon seeing his mother for the first time. He thought she was talking to him, but it was his father who was standing behind him ;--;]
[The boys’ father. We only saw a silhouette that I forgot to keep, god bless Rinsyo for handeling it to me, I love her deep down uwu >I’ll attach a fanart of how he may look like made by the so talented Cintanna that is ♥♥♥♥ this is the link to her post<]
We ask him how it went when he left with Lance, and there we learn that what happened on Kappa land was an accident, Lance wanted to make them his allies since they were a neutral side on all the story (they had nothing to do with the blue sacrifice), they said no, so Lance sent marids to scare them and push them to accept, but the marids went out of control and killed everyone on their way, and neither Valk nor Lance could stop it. Valk says that they need to get answers from Fafnir, so now that he knows they are family, he goes again to try to manipulate him a little with the truth, so Valk told him that he truly wants to help Lance, but he doesn't want to open up to him, and the one person who knows more about Lance right now is Leiftan, and it works, Fafnir finally tells them how the pact works, and the only way to break it: one of them has to die (this is why he didn't want to say it, between Lance and Leif it's obvious who the Guard would sacrifice). So they go back to the HQ really sad about the results, and when we let Miiko and Leiftan know about it, Leiftan goes ahead and says that the only way to defeat Lance is attacking a specific point on his neck, that Valkyon needs to attack him there, that he loves Gardienne and the episode ends with Leiftan dying in front of our eyes ;-;
The next episode starts telling us that he's alive lol
(oh, but first we got a flash forward of them ready for war in the beach as they saw Lance and his allies arriving). When Leif passed out, one of his braids lost its gem, and he showed his Daemon form, and one feather flew to Gardi and it turned white, so apparently the Daemon/Aengel thingy can change. They try to CPR Leif while he's lying on the floor, and suddenly Gardi feels awful and passes out too. Turns out, apparently since his life is the reason she didn't die, now their lives are tied together, so if one dies both of them will (they wanted to make some tests about it, but it never happened, so it stays as a theory that had a lot of coincidences proving it right lol). She had to drag his soul back to his body on some place like the purgatory to bring him back to life, and as soon as he was safe, she automatically woke up too. On this episode you need to decide if you want to trust Leiftan's redemption or not, he gave his life so she could save Eldarya, his feather turned white, he claims to love her so much, and now he also wants to help on the war against Lance that it's coming, but he lied so much. On his route Gardi is suffering because she had all reasons to hate him, and yet she's unable to do it, and loves him still. The decision doesn't matter too much because the story develops exactly the same in both cases.
[Leiftan on his Daemon form. I’m pretty sure we saw this sprite on episode 17, but I put it here because while she’s trying to save him, Leiftan is on his true form for the first time in front of Gardienne while she know who he is]
About other characters, I haven't mentioned much about it, but Alajea has been dating someone called Sonze, we never saw his sprite, yet he's really cute to her apparently, they're getting married, and Alajea asked Gardienne to be her maid of honor, and mentioned she wants to move to another continent and have a store related to the purrekos. Also, we get to hear a conversation between Colaia and Jamon (we've seen them talk a lot, they are kind of the same type of person, really pure and honest, but Jamon is good on a "I don't want to hurt your feelings" kind of way, while Colaia hurts you without realizing it, lol, she’s way too honest), she's confessing, and they start dating after this (it made uncomfortable a big part of the fandom because she seems to be a teenager, while Jamon is an adult). Ok, now important part of the episode: Miiko got information from her spies, Lance will attack in 5 days, already attacked North Jade (the place where Miiko comes from) and won, so they had to prepare to receive the attack, train, evacuate people, strengthen their shields, etc. Oh, btw, time went to hell at this point they were having like 3 days on 24 hours lmao. Well, the episode is basically this for a long while, at some point there's a dream where the Oracle tells Gardi to go to the Crystal (she has refused to see it broken, so she hasn't walk in there for a lot of episodes), there she sees it unbroken, and sees Leiftan and the Oracle holding hands and walking into the Crystal, a big winged figure with blood on its wings, and hears the laughter of a little girl. After all this, Miiko gets a letter from Lance, he knows they know he's coming, so he's offering a temporary truce. Since the Guard has been thinking about going back to Earth, he offers to let them run away as long as he gets to keep the Crystal. It looks like a trap, so Miiko and Gardi goes to the beach to meet him A-L-O-N-E, and instead of Lance there's Enthraa, who tries to kill them both, but they kill her instead, and send the corpse to Lance. So, the war is definitely coming. That night there's a lot of shooting stars, and suddenly they saw the Oracle's figure on it, there Gardi gets brave again and decides to go visit the Crystal. Miiko explains that the shreds spread on the room get rejected when she tries to put them back, and Gardi tries contacting the Oracle, and only gets to see Leiftan walking into the Crystal again, she overlooks everything and tries going to see the Crystal itself, and she felt like it was calling her. She wakes up, Miiko and Huang Hua saw it too, but they only tell her that she'll understand it when the time is right.
[The Crystal room after Lance broke the Crystal for the 2nd time on episode 24]
About Leif, apparently there's a way to know if someone is being honest, and he is, so they know he's not lying (yes, the same resource that on A New Era Huang Hua used on Lance to explain why he made him Guard chief. In Spanish we call that guionazo), and let him help for the war, but Gardi is not 100% ok with it. The night before the war, Gardi and her boyfriend have some hot times as it could be the last time they are together, and in Leif's case, she bursts into his room to ask him to explain himself, but she was so overwhelmed that words didn't come out, so they make out, and he ends up asking her to not let feelings get in control, he wants her to forgive him but not out of an impulse (the rest is the same as the other routes). By next day, Lance is arriving.
So, episode 30. The first part is only about fighting. Lance has a lot of people on his side, so it was really really hard for the Guard. Highlights about the first part: Milo almost died (for some reason he wasn't sheltered, that poor kid keeps getting endengered over and over again, I swear to god, he better still be alive or I’ll sue), Gardienne shows her abilities and acts like a badass if you do the QTE correctly, if not, she runs into every battle like an idiot and gets saved by her boyfriend every 5 seconds, lmao. Cameria got set on fire by Lance, and survived only because there was a little tiny new sprout on her tree, also Lance got to surround them all and asked Valkyon to join him (again) but Valk refused, so Lance said "die with them then" and tried to stab him, but Ezarel got in the middle (let's remember Valkyon is Ezarel's best friend) and Lance stabs him instead. Thanks to that, they escaped, Ezarel survives since the stab wasn't deep enough to kill anybody as Ewelein explained, and there's a pause on the battle because the Guard hides inside the HQ and Lance couldn't break the shield on it.
[Ezarel stabbed. >There was another way-more-bloody version of it that they didn’t use but somehow we got to see anyway, lol< that’s the original post where I’m taking the alternative illus from]
[The one they didn’t keep]
There are some mini plots during this break: Valkyon feeling guilty about Ezarel and everything that's happening, Nevra loosing control of his blood thirst because of the Crystal’s poor state. And then, Miiko gets a letter from Lance. He's offering them a way out, he said he had all the ingredients to open a portal, and that he'll let them all leave to Earth if they hand him over Leiftan. Of course, Lance hates him for betraying him, therefore agreeing meant letting Lance kill Leiftan in order to save everyone else. If that was all, they would've probably agreed to it, but his life is apparently tied to Gardienne's, so it would've meant killing her, the savior and only hope, too. They gave it some thought, and of course they asked Leif and Gardi to think about it too, it was really hard and painful for Gardi until she decided to go talk to Leiftan, the only person who could understand her position, to clear her own head about if she was ready to die or not. He said he was ready for it, but if she didn't want to die, he'd do everything on his power to make sure they wouldn't die, but she decided to do it. However, the rest of the Guard had a talk about how important she is, and Leiftan's efforts, so they just went with "Lance is probably lying, this is a trap" despite the fact that he actually sent them all the main ingredients (the ones missing were things they could find on the forest where he was at the moment), and decided to send Leiftan and Gardi, but not as a sacrifice, as trap to fight him. The fight was amazing, honestly, Lance turned into a Dragon (he did on the first part of the episode too) and Leiftan and Gardi used their Aengel powers to team up like badasses, they worked perfectly and were really complementing each other, Gardi with Aengel powers and Leif with Daemon powers (you can choose to take Daemon powers too, it's great, but I'm pretending only illus are canon and if you go Daemon you loose the illu), they were really connected, so much that Gardienne if she's on another route felt like she was cheating on her boyfriend, until they lose control over Lance, and he flies towards them spitting fire, so they run back to the HQ, and the fire almost gets to Leiftan. At that moment (god, this is so hard to remember for me) our pet jumps to cover him, and dies instead of Leiftan, who got to the HQ thanks to it ;--------; this had 2 explanations: 1. the companion could feel Leiftan's intentions 2. the companion knew that if Leif dies, so will Gardienne
[Lance’s Dragon sprite. Yes, beemoov didn’t bother to make a complete version (:]
[Illu of Gardienne and Leiftan fighting Lance]
[The version they didn’t use on the episode, but recycled on the scrolls]
However, they go back to the HQ to tell the Guard what happened, and since not even two Aengels combined managed to kill Lance, Miiko decides that their only chance is if Valkyon kills him himself since he's a Dragon, and it was a rough moment for Valkyon, he had hopes of getting Lance back, and now he was asked to kill him. He knew it was the right thing to do, but it was difficult to accept it. Lance went away for a while after all this, he went to find help from Fafnir on Memoria (as for why didn’t they use this chance to go into the forest to pick up the ingredients they were missing to open a portal and leave Lance alone to die, I have no idea, I don’t remember if it had a reason), and Valkyon did the same with a ritual from the HQ, and they both only got a prophecy: "Two warring brothers, one from the cold, the other from the flames, will face off one day in the sky. One must defeat the other to find peace. One must defeat the other and lose his soul." Lance doesn't understand it, Valkyon does, but he gets interrupted before explaining what it was, but after getting this prophecy, Valkyon was really happy, he said they'd defeat Lance. Lance arrives again, and the final battle starts. Ezarel was on the back helping to take care of the wounded since he wasn't good enough to go fight himself, but they got attacked, and Gardienne goes to defend them. After this, Nevra looses control over his blood thirst again, and almost attacks people from the Guard, so Gardienne offers him to take some blood from her again, so he can keep fighting.
[Illu of Nevra thanking her for helping him out]
[The illu they didn’t keep, it’s the moment when she takes him away from the poor guy who almost got murdered by his boss, hahahha]
Then, Ewelein gets attacked too, and Huang Hua went there to protect her. There she had a power up or something about the Phoenix thing she was trying to do because she defended someone she loved (this is the start of their relationship). We get to see Karenn and puppy!Chrome fighting without any problems, and finally, we see Valkyon getting ready to go fight Lance.
[Chrome on his baby wolf form ♥]
Gardienne asks to go with him, so she rides Valkyon's Dragon form to fight Lance (Nevra and Ez, on their routes, try to get to her before she leaves, but they don't get to her on time, and sadly they never see her again ;-;), but she eventually falls from the air, and using her Aengel powers, gets to use her wings, while Lance and Valkyon throw each other away and both fall on the Crystal room destroying the little bit of Crystal they had left.
[Valkyon’s Dragon sprite. Incomplete too :)]
Leiftan and Gardienne fly there too, everything is messy, Miiko was on the room trying to protect the Crystal, but now she was unconscious, Valkyon get his human form again, Gardi tries to get to him to make sure he's ok, Valkyon tells her to not get near him, and Dragon!Lance dug his claws into Valkyon's chest. Valkyon died right there in front of Gardienne's eyes. She was destroyed, but if you went for the Aengel choice earlier she gets to see Lance taking back his human form, and recognizes regret on his eyes, but she's too much in pain, so while Lance was looking at Valkyon's corpse, she makes him pass out. After this, Leiftan makes us see the Crystal, is about to stop shining, people are screaming in panic because there are earthquakes outside, the Oracle appeared again, and Gardi remembered her vision, so she knew what to do right there.
[The Crystal room after Valkyon and Lance fell on it]
Since Eldarya exists thanks to the Dragon's Blue Sacrifice, while Aengels backed off from it, now to fix it after a Dragon destroyed it, the last Aengels had to sacrifice themselves in order to make up for their ancestors mistake. So they held hands, and walked into the Crystal while Gardi couldn’t stop thinking about all the people she was leaving behind. She knows they'll survive, but she regrets not being able to say goodbye. Leiftan somehow felt her thoughts and told her to go say goodbye, that he'll get her some time. She runs, and basically she goes on ghost form to see how everyone is doing months after the sacrifice.
[Leiftan’s ghost sprite]
Alajea, was preparing her wedding, and Chrome and Karenn were joking about her always saying the same things, they have a moment remembering Gardi and how they wish they could share this moment with her too ;-; After this, we see Kero talking with Miiko about her leaving the leadership and wanting to move on with her life somewhere else. Miiko felt Gardienne's presence, and she has fun playing ghost and throwing Kero's things on the air, he got shocked and says that they all miss her. On the nursery room we see Huang Hua asking Ewelein to talk, they miss Gardienne too, but she didn't let them know she was there because they were having a moment, lol. On the kitchen, Twylda and Karuto are amazed because now there is edible food on Eldarya. Jamon and Colaia also were having a conversation about missing Gardienne, he was crying, and she said she liked her in the middle of calling her useless ;w; Next we see Nevra and Ezarel talking to the purrekos about moving some things somewhere. Ezarel decided to leave the HQ, and Nevra is helping him to move out, despite wanting him to stay. Ezarel said it was too painful for him to stay, that he couldn't even visit the Crystal now (if you were his girlfriend he's having an awful time, he later went to her room to say goodbye and apologized for not being strong enough to visit her on the Crystal, he thanks her for changing him so much on the time they were together, and says he'll never go back to the idiot he used to be), and Nevra understands, he said he would do the same, but he doesn't want to leave Karenn alone, so they say goodbye to each other, they share a hug, and Ezarel leaves. If you're on Nevra's route he goes to her room, he said he visits her everyday on the Crystal, he talks to her every day, and asks for a sign that she's listening, so she kisses him, and apparently he felt something, because he smiles and says I love you. Finally, Gardi tries to find Valkyon, and visits his favorite place, the cherry tree. He was there as a ghost too, he tells her to not regret anything, that he sacrificed on purpose.
[Valkyon’s ghost sprite]
He explained that the prophecy said he had to defeat Lance by giving up his life, and that way Valk would find peace knowing Lance gave up all his beliefs since he regretted what he did on the exact moment he did it, and he will eventually find peace too once he forgives himself for it, like Leiftan did on his questionable 2 episodes redemption arc. He asks her to not be too hard on Lance if they meet again. As they are running out of time, they say goodbyes, she thanks him for being such a good friend/boyfriend, she says she's proud of him, and on his route he panics because he's not good with words and has too much to say hahahahh basically, he tells her that she changed everything for him, she showed him the right way to take, she helped him understand what was important to him, and that he died as a happy man, with a life he can now be proud of thanks to her, also he asks her as a last favor to try to be happy, and promises to always be watching over her.
[Valkyon’s goodbye illu ;---;]
He disappears and Gardi goes back to the Crystal room, tells Leiftan that she's ready, and he says she should go first since he has one last thing to do, we don't know what it was, but she trusts him and right before sacrificing, Leif thanks her for everything she did for him (on his route he only says I love you, see you in a minute, lmao) and then Gardi walks into the Crystal, and there's nothing else, until she hits the ground again, hears people in panic saying that it was a miracle, she opens her eyes and sees the new Crystal room.

That would be it for Origins, after this they released Chrome's scrolls that you can read on the page, and then comes A New Era. I really hope I didn't make too many mistakes while remembering this all, and if you want to know more about something that I didn’t explain in details (like the develop of the relationships which I almost completely skipped), or I left unclear, let me know, I'm happy to talk about Eldarya and go into all details you want, hahahh.
