Now that Snakeman had taken a break in screaming at Rock, he instead bared his teeth sharply as he awaited an answer. Yes, he understood, he said, however…
Defiance wasn’t the best idea. Snake never tolerated it well, and trying to do so now was practically impossible to do without dire consequences.
"Need I remind you that I was the one who brought you over to Master Wily’s side?” He snarled, tightening his grip. “I’m the one who’s been teaching you and guiding you. Don’t you dare pick and choose who to follow!”
The struggling would get Rock nowhere, for the DWN’s grip was too tight, and getting tighter by the second— to the point where Snakeman would probably start breaking Rock’s arm if he kept going.
“They’re no longer your “friends.” You gave them up as soon as you came to our side." Snake spat, leaning down as he hissed.
"I WILL NOT LET YOU STAND IN MY WAY! IF I CHOOSE TO KILL THEM, I WILL!YOUR ATTEMPTS TO SEE THEM ARE ONLY MAKING THINGS WORSE, BOY." He twisted Rock’s arm again.
“They’ll die by my hands if you disobey me or Master Wily again. The only reason why Kalinka escaped without harm was because we’ve already drawn enough attention to ourselves thanks to YOU.”
Raising his other hand, he punched Rock across the face, letting go of his wrist. “I promised not to harm your family or friends as long as you followed by my rules, given to me by Master Wily. If you don’t, I have no reason to uphold my end of the deal!”
Let go let go let go let go let go let go--
Rock can practically feel the metal in his wrist beginning to break, the hand clamped around it showing no signs of letting up the pressure-- He lets out a tiny whimper at what felt like something in his joint snapping; How long would it take for the rest of it to go as well...? He hopes he won't have to find out.
As a result, he's unable to concentrate on the DWN's lecture very much, eyes watering and liquid spilling out as he begins to cry. ...He's right. Snake Man's right. He'd chosen to walk away from them in order to protect them; He had no right going back there and ruining everything... At least the serpent had decided not to actually make good on his threats, if what--
"OW--!"
The boy's heaving, synthetic breaths coming in short, heavy gasps as his arm is twisted once again and he manages a tiny nod in acknowledgement of Snake Man's words.
He's about to stammer out another apology when Snake releases his wrist, and he's too distracted by checking the damage to notice the swing at his face. It knocks the little robot clear across the room, causing him to hit his head against the wall roughly and sink down. He curls up, making himself as small as possible as he waits for the next set of blows. He's cradling his wrist, hoping to protect it from further damage.
"I-I'm sorry... I-- I'm sorry...!" The pleas are weak, childish. "Please... Please don't... Nnnnn..."
