Why Peridot Not Being Able to Fuse May Not Be That Bad (At Least For Lapidot Shippers)

I’ve seen and heard a lot of people worried that Peridot can’t fuse because she’s an era 2 Peridot.

Which, yeah that sucks. Trust me, I’ve been wanting to see her fuse since I saw her. But…

This could be good for Peridot and Lapis’s friendship (or relationship or whatever)

I’ve seen a lot of Lapidot theories (including my own) along the lines of Peridot being unknowledgeable with fusion, and Lapis’s bad past with fusion they would be good to figure it out together.

But having her not be able to fuse can help Lapis feel more comfortable with her. Knowing she can’t fuse with her makes it easier for Lapis to open herself up to her. Kind of like in We Need to Talk.
