Youngest of five Megan Elizabeth Hawkins was born on Christmas Day 1993 in Hilton Head, South Carolina. From day one it was obvious that she would grow up to be a kind and trusting girl. She was always doing things to make her family smile that ranged from making them artwork to bringing them back flowers that she had found during her outdoor adventures.
She truly was the baby of the family who everyone doted on and took care of. With four older siblings she never had to worry about anything. She had three older brothers to protect her from harm’s way and one older sister to teach her the ins and outs of growing up.
Nothing seemed to ever go wrong in the eyes of the youngest girl. Not only was she loved by her family but everyone who visited the family restaurant adored her. She spent her days going up to the customers and giving them hugs and talking to them as best as she could as a toddler. She truly did have the perfect life.
That was until on Fourth of July day where life as she knew it completely changed. Meg was two years old when her sister drowned. She was so young when it happened that she couldn’t comprehend what was going on and why her once tight knit family seemed distance.
She tried to make people feel better and smile but nothing that had worked before the tragedy worked anymore. She wasn’t sure why her brothers and dad were mad at Cooper, but she continued to try to make him happy. She would ask him if he wanted to play, gave him drawings, flowers, and of course gave him hugs. It was all that her two-year-old mind understood to do.
She didn’t fully grasp what had happened that holiday till she was much older; however, her love towards her brother never changed. She honestly thought it was stupid the way her family treated him. She was never listened to though. Anytime she’d bring something up about Cooper’s mistreatment she was shushed and told she was too young, and she wouldn’t get it. These statements frustrated her, and she gave up trying to maintain a relationship with Ryan and Ethan, instead, she focused on her relationship with Cooper.
At seventeen she got accepted to her number one college New York University and by eighteen she had left her small town home behind for the big city. She was pursuing her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse but kept her relation strong with her older brother.
She finished up nursing school and found her dream job working at a hospital in the pediatric ward. During this time was when she met Jason Gooding. The two had fell in love and the relationship was one that was picture perfect. Though after about a year he revealed a different side of himself. He had always had temper, but it started to increase, and he started to take it out on Meg.
She hid it for a long time because she wanted to believe there was still good in the person she loved. She continued to make excuses and hide the bruises until one day six months ago she couldn’t take it any longer. She packed up her things and left while he was at work. She moved to the only place she could think of. Pine River.
She could never bring herself to tell anyone about the abuse she had endured for years. She was embarrassed that she allowed it to happen and just wanted to start over. So, that is exactly what she is doing now.
TIDBITS OF HER PERSONALITY
think of the color yellow and thats her. Her phone is yellow, has a sunflower case, literally just yellow everything. She is loving, warm, and will do just about anything to help anyone. She may. goes out of her way to help anyone and everyone but she’s not stupid and won’t be taken advantage of.
she also has a tendency to be a bit stubborn about things. like if you tell her that she shouldn’t do something it only makes her want to do it more. Along with her stubbornness she also doesn’t let anyone help her. she figures her problems are her own problems and she needs to deal with them herself.
She hates conflict and is a peace keeper. she is super sensitive as well. like to the point if someone yells at her she will start crying
she apologizes for EVERYTHING.
basically she just wants everyone to be happy and will help anyone to make that happen
she is low key a flirt tho and will flirt with just about anyone
