Brushes is an online exhibition co-presented by Rhizome and the New Museum as part of the series First Look: New Art Online. It features the work of eight artists who paint with the computer and show their work on the internet - Laura Brothers, Jacob Ciocci, Petra Cortright, Joe Hamilton, Sara Ludy, Michael Manning, Giovanna Olmos, and Andrej Ujhazy. Addie Wagenknecht's 'Still Alive' is a series of digital still life paintings created from found imagery available in the public domain. Most of the original paintings were by Dutch still life painter Rachel Ruysch. The series will debut IRL at F.A.T. GOLD: San Francisco, May 21-31.
