Meaning in Gaming
In Existential Psychology we focus a lot on the quest for meaning and purpose in life. Games and gaming are often seen as a trivial waste of time, yet there has never been a culture in human history that did not have games of some kind. Games are so integral to what it means to be human that sociologist John Huizinga proposed that humans be called Homo Laden, man the player.
Games have defined much of my life and the love of playing is greatly meaningful to me. Has gaming brought meaning into your life and if so in what ways?
