okay so let’s talk about the forehead tap because i don’t want to work on my math homework yet
the forehead tap is not a positive gesture
from day one it pained sasuke
who would grow to consider it nothing more than lies
even itachi would admit in his final moments that the gesture was not one of positive meaning
he admits that he was keeping sasuke “far away” with his own hands- the forehead tap is a gesture of distance.
is not a declaration of love.
this is sasuke saying i don’t want you with me
“but kitty” the sasusaku fandom cries at me, brandishing their torches and pitchforks, “you’re ignoring the rest of what itachi said! he was protecting sasuke! sasuke is trying to protect sakura!”
sasuke is on a personal journey. he wants to see the world.

yeah, a hunch. a hunch that he had no proof of or reason to believe posed a great enough threat to warn anyone.
if this hunch was so dangerous he should have- and most likely would have- told naruto about it.
sasuke is simply rejecting sakura. it’s that simple.
“i’ll see you soon” is just another way of saying “later”, and sasuke knows this is a lie. he called itachi out for this exact behaviour because it was so damaging.
“but kitty!” the sasusaku fandom cries as they light the kindling and burn me. “are you saying sakura lies to sarada and doesn’t want her around?”
i’m saying sakura doesn’t know what the fuck she’s talking about.
she thinks the tap is loving, that’s why she used it on sarada while she was dodging questions.
the woman doesn’t even know if sasuke wore glasses, despite your fandom screeching about all the eyesmex they’ve supposedly had.
the bottom line remains the same.
the forehead poke is not a sign of love and closeness, but one of isolation and dishonesty
