A good starting point to finding out what to do when you visit somewhere new is to go to the visitor centre. The Lady Nelson visitor centre in Mount Gambie

Pinnaroo to Mount Bryan Hotel, South Australia
We packed up the tent  at Pinnaroo and headed off on the road for a few hours drive towards Wilpena Pound. By accident we stopped off at a town called Mount Bryan and discovered the Mount Bryan Hotel. had a fantastic lunch experience at the Mount Bryan Hotel.
From our riverside campsite opposite the Mildura Wharf we could see the Paddle Steamers come and go throughout the day. We did go on the PS Melbourne for a relaxing two hour cruise down through Mildura's Lock 11 (and return) . It was so relaxing Dave fell asleep!
http://hatchaholiday.com/millstream/ We didn't know it but our first flat tyre on our Pilbara Adventure was just before Python Pool. It was a hot 41 degrees and the jack was located underneath some of our camping stuff. While the tyre was being changed I took some photos  of the area. Tyre fixed and we got on our way and not far along the road we came across Python Pool. A welcoming and magnificent place to cool down!!
We loved the Chillout Parade in Daylesford. Find out more about our day that ended in the Daylesford Hotel here: http://hatchaholiday.com/chillout-par... Vincent Street Daylesford in Victoria comes alive at the annual Chillout Parade ( part of the Chillout Festival) oozing vibrancy and happiness with LGBTI pride!

The great thing about going on a tour when it's feeding time you actually get to see the birds and at the same time learn about them. http://hatchaholiday.com/breakfast-wi... We saw all sorts of birds including a male and female cassowary. Cassowaries are magnificent prehistoric colourful emu sized birds ( we have heard them described else ware as "emus in drag". we spent a couple of hours following the tour then had a look at the wallabies an kangaroos.
Wilpena Pound, in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia was our destination for our first camping trip by ourselves. We drove to Pinneroo and stayed one night, then to Wilpena Pound for 4 nights, and back via Hahndorf for 2 nights and Mount Gambier for 2 nights. The weather was very hot most days with a rainy day at the start and end of our trip. We worked out when the weather is extreme when you are camping in a tent its not really an issue if you can get in your air-conditioned car and explore the countryside!
About Wayne lives in Perth and often drops in to say hello to us when doing business trips to Melbourne. Back in August 2015 we were having a few drinks and discussed the boys turning 50 and going on a holiday together – Wayne and Nadine and David and I. We talked about meeting in …
