Half of life is lost in charming others. The other half is lost in going through anxieties caused by others. Leave this play, you have played enough! ~ Rumi
Am I going anywhere? I don't know.
Your imprisonment effects your mind
Gender attitudes are the shackles which prevent the individualism to come out and flourish. This individualism, as explained by the Iqbal, is the height of humanity where humankind comes close to the creator. In individualism everyone has the capacity to create and prosper. It is not the gender which bars an individual from doing what they want. Everyday, every moment is an opportunity to assert yourself, dominate the world, do what you want but we take this opportunity to malign others, oppress them so they can remain slaves of our wants forever. This attitude needs to be changed. We should stop judging others on the base of super ego but we should give them a breathing space to see how nature unfolds it self and we should appreciate the beauty within.
Bilal

Our quote of the day is from British novelist Jane Austen
When I run after what I think I want, my days are a furnace of stress and anxiety; if I sit in my own place of patience, what I need flows to me, and without pain. From this I understand that what I want also wants me, is looking for me and attracting me. There is a great secret here for anyone who can grasp it. ~ Rumi

Nothing is more creative . . . nor destructive . . . than a brilliant mind with a purpose (Dan Brown)
We are not the prisoners of defence mechanisms. In fact we own the very cage and key to out side world. This out side world is a also a part of us. Though opposite in nature, the qualities of creativity and destructiveness both are in our personality. It is our conscious (and unconscious) choice to adopt whichever we want. We all have a script and ability to modify the script. We can choose to live in the past by developing defence mechanisms and providing a rationale to our actions. Similarly, we can also invent a future to change our personality to a different paradigm. We have enough capabilities to destroy ourselves and enough creativity to make ourselves most beautiful person one can ever be.
Jung found out that it is not the defence mechanism which shapes our personality but our tilt towards one of the opposing forces. This settles the issue of being free or being in shackles.
