I don't really use Tumblr that much but I've been thinking about meichae in different shipps for a while now and really really wanted to talk somewhere about them as miraculous and as you said, hivemind!
OH INJECT ITTTTTTT This introverted girl letting out her inner freak through cat noir. FUCK! This fits the whole jealousy part of Yoonchae's personality as well. We all know Cat Noir can get a little possessive and pouty when it's not him being chosen. Boy literally got upset when there were other heroes and Ladybug didn't fill him in stuff.
YES YES YES I'm a really big fan of the way Adrian changes completely as cat noir, so imagining yoonchae going from shy and quiet to someone who's loud and jokes around a lot and can just say whatever comes to mind and seeing that people like this side of her has so much writing potencial (one that I sadly don't have) cause imagine she's so happy cause she's loved by people as chat noir, who's her truest self, but the only person she really wants to impress is ladybug, who likes her, but not enough. So she starts to question if she isn't someone worth loving both as yoonchae or cat noir (also as I'm writing this I realized I typed cat noir wrong the whole last ask lol sorry about that).
Anyways she would be so flirty and direct (as Yoonchae she would too, but it would be the oblivious kind of flirty. The "I just spoke the first thing that came to mind isn't it normal?" Kind. She would look at Megan and say she was beautiful today, because she genuinely thought so, and then compliment everything she did but just cause she genuinely believed all of it). As Cat noir she would do it intentionally, always trying to make Meganbug blush, having all kinds of pick-up lines ready for every possible situation, and always making it obvious that she is in love cause she wants ladybug to know how she feels, cause she doesn't want to hide anything from her.
About the jealousy yes yes yes I didn't even think about that, but it feats her so well! Thinking about little Catchae (Catchae? Yoon noir?) getting pouty when Meganbug is talking to someone else instead of laughing at her jokes is so funny; she absolutely would be the type to get all like "oh, cataclysm? Idk, why don't you ask your little friend from earlier?" and less than half a second later she would be moving and using the damn cataclysm.
Nah, I think solarz has a special place in my heart. Lara was always finding comfort in Sophia's arms. This would totally make sense for nino and alya's plot where they loved each other too much to keep their identities hidden. They have great trust there.
Girl, me too. For meichae I'm kind of a monoshipper but for the other four? I enjoy everything that can come from there. I feel like solarz has a lot of potential here because they're both very "ride or die" kind of people, so they would work really great together, keeping each other and those around them safe while still making time to check out on one another. They would be really caring and mature, which I feel like is exactly what meichae would need.
And look, I'm a big sucker of ladynoir in the original series. But I honestly think the best ship in this would be meichae marichat? It's their truest selves. And imagine anxious little Megan and Yoonchat just teases her a bunch! And she will literally do anything for Megan. She'd take her to the highest of places not knowing she was already Ladybug. I love it when Yoonchae gets a little cocky and braggy.
Oh I LOVE marichat. It's my favorite shipp out of the whole love square. I feel like Megan really appreciates Catchae but she's always so locked in when being ladybug that she doesn't show it enough, so when she meets cat noir as just Megan she lets her guard down and is really soft with her, complimenting and telling her how luck ladybug is to have her and how amazing she really is. But at the same time, she gets a little too comfortable and ends up being really open about things that she didn't think she would talk about. She talks a lot and rambles and has really funny mannerisms. Catchae finds it kinda cute so she acts extra annoying, asking a zillion questions, giving pick-up lines that are always said with a grin way too big to be read as serious flirting, just to see this side of Megan that she isn't used to. She would tease her a lot, being a strange mix of the "saying the first thing that comes to mind" yoonchae to the "intentional flirting" cat noir. They would laugh a lot together, and have conversations that would go from really casual stuff ("what's your favorite colour?" "Did you watch the new show on Netflix?") to really deep ones. They see new sides of each other that makes them appreciate the other more and get kinda sad that they can't see it normally (Meganbug is afraid of getting close to her and giving false hopes to Cat noir, and Yoonchae really wanted to see this more vulnerable and energetic side of Megan, but the girl is weirdly reserved, especially around her). So Megchat time together is always valued and special to them, with Megan wanting to hear how Catchae feels about stuff and having someone who she can talk to without having to worry about explaining anything, and Yoonchae wanting to spend more time with Megan without being afraid to express herself, making Megan laugh and have fun with her. Catchae doesn't understand why, but she gets really mad when Megan tells her she is suffering from love. For her it doesn't make sense that someone wouldn't notice the amazing girl in front of her, so she tries really hard to make Megan feel appreciated, taking her to nice places in lonely nights for the both of them, and then getting happy just by seeing Megan have fun without thinking about the stupid girl she likes.
BUT OKAY let's agree that Megan doesn't have stalkerish tendencies here, alright?
OH YEAH FOR SURE I actually was going to write that at the end of the other ask but forgot and thought it was already too big (only for me to come back and write an even bigger one... sigh). Megan would be anxious but definitely not stalkerish 😭 I feel like she would even get weirded out at herself when she memorizes something on yoonchae's schedule by accident. "Oh I wanted to ask yoonchae to hang out but she's probably in basketball right now– tf why do I know this."
Also I know Adrian is a fencer but yoonchae being a basketball player in real life is way too good to not mention in every single au. Speaking of players, I just remembered this morning that Adrian and Marinette are both videogame fans and the way meichae are literally gamers too. like. Just perfect.
Well, to end it I just did a little sketch of what I imagined the umbrella scene with them being like! It's not my finest work (I actually kinda really really really really hate it lol) but it's been fun and since I can't write I had to get this au out somewhere

Megan is definitely a chronic overthinker and it makes sense for her character. She respects Yoonchae so much and Yoonchae is just constantly worried if Megan likes her or not.
I don't have much to add to your thoughts, I think you said them all pretty well🙂↕️. The biggest take I can get from this is that they're each other's biggest comfort. I don't think they'll ever fall into that miscommunication that the love square seems to love so much because they regard each other as equals. They have a shared pain and burden but are still the kindest to each other.
And look, I love the intrigue of the secret identities. But what do you think about them wishing it's the other underneath the mask? Like say, Megan wishes this annoying Cat Noir is Yoonchae and she feels guilty for wishing that because what if it's someone else and she has to choose?
