But his unwillingness to address anything in his private life does seem like he does not respect the women in his life. For two years, Mackenzie has had horrible things said about her. Maybe I would not use the word “womanizer” but it’s true, Sam doesn’t look good in this context.The fact that I admire Sam as an actor, does not mean I have to like everything he does. We know that responding to the haters is useless, but not defend publicly (okay I know, once he did) your girlfriend, makes it seem that you doesn’t care about her. And this actually gives the haters even more power. In my opinion, when the haters attacked Mackenzie’s father Sam should have intervened.
There are things that are difficult for me to justify. Sam knows perfectly how the fandom reacts to certain things. He knew what would have caused a picture with Cait’s cat. Many people thought that this was a confirmation that they live together (and not just the shippers). It was necessary? He published the photo of cat and then he disappeared. He did not follow the marathon, he did not congratulate Cait. So? What was the purpose? Have fun? He wanted to make the fandom say squeeeeeee?
