maybe that sounds really pretentious but theres reaally this me me me aspect to engaging with anything. this book tv series movie whayever has to cater to my curated taste of specific tropes but i also dont want to bother with something that makes me uncomfortable or makes me think deeper than anything surface level. this character i projected everything about me onto them vs trying to see life from their perspective as a character in a setting/circumstance/time period.
