Black women need protecting too!!!!
Y’all can’t continue using that useless “strong black queen” trope to hide this fact cause it dismisses the fact we need help too. We’re dying and being killed inside and outside our community and I’ll be damned if y’all continue dismissing us!
This stereotype is so far reaching and embedded into our society is sickening. From entertainment to politics and healthcare. It’s everywhere.
It’s dehumanizing and dangerous. It is the reason why the maternity death rate for black women is 200% higher than any other race. It’s the reason why black women who struggle with eating disorders and other mental illnesses are ignored and demonized. It’s the reason why black women are given less pain medicine and are ignored by doctors/nurses when we discuss our health concerns and conditions.
Its 100% the reason why when black women express our emotions we are seen as angry, bitter, and deranged. And it starts in childhood. Lupita herself stated how she was told to hold in her tears as a little girl and be “strong” which lead to her being angry. Many black girls grow up without getting enough if any affection or love from their parents because they need to be “strong ” smh.
It’s the reason why being violent, fighting, and the “ratchet” personality is pushed on dark skin black women. We are always seen as the aggressive even if we didn’t do anything. It is literally glorified as being a “bad bitch.” And if we refuse to fight and act in these behaviors we’re “pussy” and “scared.”
It’s 100% the reason why black girls/women are ignored when we discuss the sexual trauma we have experienced at the hands of black men.
The other day a post went around where a colorist black man literally said he did not know how to compliment dark black women without mentioning their strength. Many black men cosigned the foolishness. There are people making art work of little black girls standing alone against the KKK, police, military, and white nationalist and people find those pictures to be endearing not deranged and dangerous. There is a little dark skin black girl who recently went viral for being at protests and people were praisinf it as if that child was not in danger and could have easily been killed out there.
How many little black girls are gonna have to be arrested in school for acting like children before this narrative dies? How many more black women are going to be killed due to domestic abuse and sexual trauma before this narrative dies? How many more black little girls are gonna grow up mentally and emotionally drained before this narrative dies?
We collectively as black women need to kill this narrative.

"Women should be meaner!! >:( " y'all literally can't handle a black woman being slightly assertive

Me: yeah people & society barely allow black women to have emotions let alone be serious or unhappy
Brain dead losers on here: its kinda hot when black women are angry at me ngl
I'm gonna start killing
people have the audacity to equate vanilla with “plain”. the fruit of a delicate orchid pollinated by hand. worth its weight in solid gold and beyond. the fussy black-and-cream jewel of the american continent. you sick son of a bitch. imagine a world without vanilla. no blondies. no pound cakes. no crème brûlée, no coke floats. no cream soda. no satiny new york-style cheesecakes. no warm apple pie à la mode. no velvety complexity to bring out complex notes in chocolate desserts. no depth of flavour in your cakes and cookies and milkshakes. all in just a few precious seeds or grams of paste or perfumed teaspoons of liquid black platinum. what you don’t understand could fill the library of alexandria seven times over and then some. you ungrateful bastard i’m going to kill you
