The 22-25 the community also works on creating a burial shroud to burn in a mock funeral for Aristodemos.
June 21-The Day of Mourning
The first day is a day of mourning in a church-like setting with the whole community.
Typically, this is headed by a Mekahuman, Descendant, or Grand, although SoulShifters have taken up the mantle since the massacre.
June 22-The Day of Stories
It is a day generally centered around telling the story of Aristodemos’ life through traditional storytelling during the evening and a festival celebrating.
This is normally done by people who have been deemed storytellers by the community
June 23-The Day of Celebration
This day is the most like a festival, with food and games, and it is generally a day to have fun and celebrate the positive things of the year.
This day honors the accomplishments of Aristodemos and pays tribute to what he did.
It also honors the significant achievements made by the community as a whole and individual members of it.
June 25-The Day of Sacrifice
This day honors the sacrifice Aristodemos made when he died and celebrates him for what he gave up to protect the community.
Sacrifices of community members are also celebrated on this day
June 26-The Day of New Beginnings/The New Year
Aristodemos’ shroud is burned at noon, thus marking the beginning of a new year for the magical community.
The New Year is counted from the day Aristodemos died, thus making it the year 2257 in the magical calendar (as of 2024).
The years before he died are labeled BDF (Before Darkness Fell), and the years after ADF (After Darkness Fell).
