a normal civilian girl. (an isekai'd trope gone wrong.)
that's the half-lie, half-truth of a facade mel amante puts up while in this universe. this universe - that is filled to the brim with superheroes, supervillains, magic and the like.
a universe so unlike her own.
for where she came from, these idols for humanity and criminals of the state didn't exist. they were purely fictional; their backstories and motives free for anybody to read and decipher.
she didn't want to be a part of the dcu to begin with, mind you. she was perfectly content with witnessing their stories from the sidelines, their lives a motivation for her to keep on living despite her hardships.
but stories soon fall flat for a soul as broken as hers. escapism becomes unhealthy; reality hits harder than it should.
(and the last thing she remembers of her own world was the free, stomach-twisting feeling of falling, and the incoming sense of impending doom once her hands left the rooftop's railing and her head plummeted down, down, down towards the apartment's parking lot.)
she wonders, daily, if an outer force forced her here to find some reason to continue taking a breath. and she has, slowly but surely - finding comfort in the kent family whom found her minutes after she arrived in this world, and feeling happy when saving others either physically or mentally due to her knowledge of the storyline to come.
however, she knows this happiness will too be ripped away. her newfound family and friends- all gone once realising that she is just like a villain she now relates to, superboy-prime. manipulating their lives, their autonomy without warning nor care - all for what she deemed was a happy ending.
but she hopes it doesn't come soon, or at all if possible. for now, she pushes aside her deep-rooted fear and enjoys her average life with the kents, hoping against the inevitable.

౨ৎ other.
>> basically the mun's depiction of a more 'realistic' way a person would react when being isekai'd to an unknown place, e.g. they could be shunned or hated for knowing things they shouldn't, for keeping secrets, for being powerless etc. buuuut she could also be seen as a gwenpool/superboy-prime 2.0 !!
>> mel goes by she/her pronouns, and is 16 years old. (mun is 18; this does NOT mean you can ask mel super nsfw questions though) :3
>> she has a generalised anxiety disorder and depression.
>> she’s filipino, and was born in the uk ,, you have every right to bully her for her accent <3
>> on that note, she can understand the filipino language + translate it for others, but she herself cannot speak it 😭 if she tries, she feels like she’s embarrassing herself and shuts up almost instantly
>> she has a satchel bag which contains a few DC comics she bought the day of her isekai. she reads through them to pass the time if she’s really bored!
>> she cannot fight to save her life!! all she does (and hopes will work) is talk to the perpetrator, freeze up or kick wherever she can! if that doesn’t work, she’s bolting away 🫶
