"Happiness is a journey, not a destination."

A few months back after coming out of hospital for the second time, I was unable to drive and was practically bedridden for weeks.

Under the direction of the doctor, I went to stay with my grandparents for a while to allow my body some time to recover.

Their hobby farm is located out of town and is the perfect place to disconnect from the rest of the world and relax. My grandmother's garden is so tranquil and calming to the soul. I am truly thankful to my grandparents as they have always been so loving, kind, and supportive especially during my time of illness.

Never underestimate the effect your actions have on those around you. One act of kindness you do for someone may seem fairly insignificant to you or barely worth mentioning; however, you never know how much that small act might mean to that person and may you never know the amazing impact you have had on their life.

And through all this, I have definitely been learning that happiness truly is a journey and not a destination. It can be so easy to fall into the trap of waiting for something to make you happy or expecting others to make you happy, but if you are not happy within yourself especially in the tough times, then you will never find true happiness even if you have "everything." Happiness emanates from within, not from outside us.

Here is the first image from the workshop/shoot with Cerise. Cerise is a budding photographer and we had a wonderful time as I opened her up to the amazing world of conceptual/fine art photography. 

The weather was amazing and we were shooting at one of the best places in the world!! The trees here are just so beautiful and each one tells a unique story. I could quite happily live here and take photos all day! :)

A big thank-you to her dad, Mark, for his assistance during the shoot as my usual assistant, Lauri, was away.

Here is the first image from the shoot with fashion designer, Katherine Mcfarland, from Allikat Create. Despite the humid weather, we still had a wonderful time frolicking through the CBD of Albury, NSW. A big thank-you to the helpful staff at Cafe Cosmo on Dean Street for allowing us use of their splendid cafe which had the vintage/retro look we were after.

Eva did a fantastic job modelling and looked stunning in every outfit! Stay tuned for heaps more awesome images!! :)
