I’ve always been a big thinker, I sit with ideas often for days until I feel I have some sort of clarity. I sometimes get annoyed that it doesn’t happen instantly, but I’ve come to realise that when I just let my brain process for a while I usually come up with something awesome!!

Inspired by the 18th century Palampore.

As I read more about the Palampore and the Tree of Life motif I became so intrigued by it’s history. The flowering tree’s original relationship to the ancient meaning of wish-fulfilment is so beautiful. I always find when I have a creative block with my design projects stepping into nature always helps, in a ways this is like having a wish-fulfilled. 🙌 (at Melbourne, Victoria, Australia)

I think everyone has their own version of the colours of the rainbow song 🌈 and when someone sings it differently it just sounds wrong. I can still clearly remember singing it in preschool. “Red and yellow, pink and green, purple and orange and blue.” Non of these colours today, I’m loving these rainbows in mono!!! (at Melbourne)

Pattern, pattern, pattern! Enjoying the process of playing around with patterns to use for decorating ceramics. I tested this pattern with the inglaze technique. Won’t find out till next week but fingers crossed it looks something like this. 🤞🙏

In the past I noticed that I tended to lead with my vulnerable self which often ended with me not perusing things that were way out of my comfort zone, which left me feeling like I wasn’t getting what I REALLY wanted. So I’ve started to lead with my confident self, gently guiding my vulnerable fearful self, trusting I’m going to be ok.

In my 20’s I didn’t really go out of my way to make close connections with other Women. I had a BFF maybe 1 or 2 other girlfriends but I felt I connected better with guys. Thinking back this is probably more my fault, than anyone’s. I wasn’t open to what a tribe of female support can offer.

It wasn’t till a couple of years ago when I began to seek out like minded women that this quote reigned true for me.
