ffxv aes | tenebrae
pt 2 of my tenebrae aesthetic. i originally planned for this to just be a two part series, but i have so many aspects of the oracle’s homeland i didn’t touch on in either aesthetic, so i might return to this idea later.

Boat times:
FINALLY FINISHED THIS HOLY SHIT!!
After driving around for days and days and days, and just sitting there and watching Ignis drive, I finally put together a complete chart of the in-game time it takes to travel from one outpost to the other! I put my blood, sweat, and tears into this thing. Please feel free to click on the image and download it!
Some notes :
No upgrades to the car were installed, save for headlights to keep the daemons away at night. The car’s speed was set to the base speed.
I made Ignis drive and did not allow for them to pull over. All the driving was automatic and uninterrupted, save for creature crossings or stopping for cars.
I did not stop between outposts and add the time together; it was always straight drives from and to each outpost.
ALL times are rough estimates. Assume there is a 15-minute window on each side; the party could arrive 15 minutes earlier, or 15 minutes later, depending on certain factors such as creature crossings, stopping for other cars, or travelling at a different speed.
I counted the hours from the time they started getting into the car to the time they hopped out of the car. I started counting the moment the clock hit a new hour.
Half hours were done by starting a timer the moment they got out of the car, and seeing if the clock would change to the next hour before 45 seconds had passed. (If my stopwatch is correct, an hour passes by after roughly 1 minute and 45 seconds.) If the clock hit the next hour before the 45 seconds, that meant half an hour had passed while driving.
If I was ever unsure of the time it took, I would try again. Otherwise, I did not double check most of these.
For the boat times, I took the shortest route possible and did not allow for the party to drop anchor. I started counting the hours from the time they started, to the time they dropped anchor.
You can use this for whatever your heart desires! ouo9 Headcanons, roleplay blogs, fanfiction, artwork, anything you can think of :D That’s what this reference was made for

FFXV Hinterland Reference
This was stitched together from cross-referencing my own map, scanned versions and in-game versions.
So below the cut is a list of the ‘hinterland’ names found across the in-game map and the locations they encompass/include. Sorted by region.
May come in handy for anyone RPing or wanting to write fics and reference the surrounding areas.
